Camilla and Marc at RAFW

We caught up with Noni Smith, MAC Make-up Director to grab the how-to for the elegant-meets-sexy style on display at Camilla and Marc at RAFW 2009.
The inspiration for the beauty from a bygone era look came from a combination of things, one being Camilla Freeman-Topper, half of the designer duo herself. Smith also drew upon silver screen sirens Audrey Hepburn and Bridget Bardot as further muses.

The look focused strongly on the eyes which were bold, black and graphic, while keeping lips, nails and brows nude (save a little brow gel to keep pesky strays in place).

What Smith used:

MAC Strobe Cream – this was used as both a moisturiser and to create a lustrous, luminous glow.

MAC Face and Body Foundation – for a flawless base.

MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer – this added a bit of shading to cheekbones.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder in Blonde – this light blush imparted a pale, peachy and shimmery tone.

MAC Eye Pencil in Smoulder – this created the graphic slash of jet black around the eye.

MAC Penultimate Eye Liner in Rapidblack – this was used to seal the eye, completing the bold look.

MAC Pro Lip Erase in Dim – lips were kept nude. This product is similar to concealer but has the texture of a lip balm. (Sadly this is a MAC Pro product but give MAC Lipstick in Icon a go instead.)
