Fantastic protection

This product is wonderful and the high SPF protects your face all day from sun damage. I have fair skin so the higher the SPF the better. I also use this on my neck. The texture is thick, but it is not greasy or oily at all. It blends in well to the skin. It is moisturising and makes the skin feel calm and hydrated. A very easy to use pump.

So far, so good!

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, and it's going well. There aren't that many products on the market that's SPF 30, so it's great to have this.

It comes in a pump bottle, and has that sunscreen smell, except that it's not very severe. I catch a faint whiff of it when I first get it out of the bottle, then it disappears. It appears to absorb really quickly into the skin, and it's very light on me.

The only thing is that for the first time today, I had a bit of peeling of some make up just under my chin, not on my face itself, and I don't know if it's the combination of the products, or if it's the face lotion itself. Either way, I am pretty happy with this moisturiser!

WILL NOT REPURCHASE

Pro's
-I like the packaging and the pump bottle
-The texture of the lotion is smooth and feels luxurious
-Spf 30

Con's
-Awful smell
-Made my skin feel dry when it absorbed which I've never experienced with a sun lotion before.

I've been using the product for just over a week and already dislike it.
Considering giving it away because it is doing nothing for my skin.

Too greasy, sits on top of the skin and doesn't absorb

I have this in a tint which needs setting with a powder also the tint will lose colour within a few hours. If using this product with makeup it will not stay all day. I have found it will cause sweating and need reapplying throughout the day.

Tips

This product is great for light sun exposure or under foundation. Very light, great to use in Winter when the skin needs extra care or for very dry sensitive skin.

Not for me

I did not like this at all and eventually gave the bottle away. It is of a lotion consistency, quite easy to apply, without any streaky or pasty-white after effect. However it leaves a slick of shininess on my face. What I really disliked was the smell, something reminiscent of detergent initially, which then fades into a smell of body sunblocks.

Not impressed

Rather greasy, sort of sat on the skin making it hard to apply makeup. Did nothing for me really!

Thumbs up

Great moisturising and didn't cause me to break out as much as i would usually without a moisturiser, which was fantastic.
Dr Lewins is a really good range of skincare.
It did break me out a little but i after found a better product that hardly at all break me out.
But i do recommend this lotion.

Tips

Don't use too much as it can be overly thick

Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 30+

I love any SPF products that contain zinc, so when I won this moisturiser recently I was thrilled as I have always been quite a fan of Dr Lewinn's skincare products, which I find to be so luxurious and results orientated, considering the affordable price tag.

The first thing that surprised me was the texture of this cream, which is extremely thick. I wasn't fazed by this at all though, as most of the zinc products I use are all thick anyway; it comes with the territory when you use zinc based skincare. The paste-like consistency definitely has its benefits, ensuring me that my skin will be constantly guarded against the harsh UV rays that intend to harm and damage my skin further. With this moisturiser on hand I can be confident that my skin is going to have lasting protection, because it provides a physical barrier to make sure the sun doesn't penetrate my skin. Not only that, the rich cream is extremely hydrating and I think if you have dry skin this would be a godsend, but because my skin is oily I do find it leaves me slightly greasy, so I prefer to use this moisturiser specifically as a sunblock when I am heading outdoors rather than as a day cream under my makeup, that way I avoid the midday shine.

I would recommend this moisturiser, boasting zinc, the most effective, yet classic skin shielding ingredient that continues to perform, time and time again, while delivering additional benefits for the healthiest of skin. It is ideal for anyone who wants to safeguard themselves against the unpredictable Australian climate, to guarantee you will never get sunburnt, all the while keeping your skin nourished with a soft, smooth, radiant complexion to allow you to always put your best face forward.

Tips

Because of the thick texture of this product, which is typical of zinc based skincare give yourself time to adjust to the consistency because the benefits definitely outweigh the cons.

Thick and luxurious

A lovely thick lotion that really made my skin feel comfy and soft. It's super hydrating, almost too much. Excellent because it's 30+ and protects you from the sun all day but does feel a bit greasy after a while.

Mature skin, dry skin

Not for me

Quite a thick formula. Left my face looking and feeling white and greasy. I felt it was to rich a formula for day wear. It has a “sunscreeny” smell. I didn’t notice any instant results or benefits. But could feel it on my face all day. I always use products with an SPF however I don’t want to feel like I have sunscreen on my face, and unfortunately this felt like I had directly applied sunscreen. I like Dr Lewins range but I wont be using this product again.
