Not impressed

Rather greasy, sort of sat on the skin making it hard to apply makeup. Did nothing for me really!

Thumbs up

Great moisturising and didn't cause me to break out as much as i would usually without a moisturiser, which was fantastic.
Dr Lewins is a really good range of skincare.
It did break me out a little but i after found a better product that hardly at all break me out.
But i do recommend this lotion.

Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 30+

I love any SPF products that contain zinc, so when I won this moisturiser recently I was thrilled as I have always been quite a fan of Dr Lewinn's skincare products, which I find to be so luxurious and results orientated, considering the affordable price tag.

The first thing that surprised me was the texture of this cream, which is extremely thick. I wasn't fazed by this at all though, as most of the zinc products I use are all thick anyway; it comes with the territory when you use zinc based skincare. The paste-like consistency definitely has its benefits, ensuring me that my skin will be constantly guarded against the harsh UV rays that intend to harm and damage my skin further. With this moisturiser on hand I can be confident that my skin is going to have lasting protection, because it provides a physical barrier to make sure the sun doesn't penetrate my skin. Not only that, the rich cream is extremely hydrating and I think if you have dry skin this would be a godsend, but because my skin is oily I do find it leaves me slightly greasy, so I prefer to use this moisturiser specifically as a sunblock when I am heading outdoors rather than as a day cream under my makeup, that way I avoid the midday shine.

I would recommend this moisturiser, boasting zinc, the most effective, yet classic skin shielding ingredient that continues to perform, time and time again, while delivering additional benefits for the healthiest of skin. It is ideal for anyone who wants to safeguard themselves against the unpredictable Australian climate, to guarantee you will never get sunburnt, all the while keeping your skin nourished with a soft, smooth, radiant complexion to allow you to always put your best face forward.

Thick and luxurious

A lovely thick lotion that really made my skin feel comfy and soft. It's super hydrating, almost too much. Excellent because it's 30+ and protects you from the sun all day but does feel a bit greasy after a while.

Not for me

Quite a thick formula. Left my face looking and feeling white and greasy. I felt it was to rich a formula for day wear. It has a “sunscreeny” smell. I didn’t notice any instant results or benefits. But could feel it on my face all day. I always use products with an SPF however I don’t want to feel like I have sunscreen on my face, and unfortunately this felt like I had directly applied sunscreen. I like Dr Lewins range but I wont be using this product again.

way too thick

I didn't like this product. It didn't feel moisturising, and felt very thick and almost gritty. It made me break out really badly. I was pretty disappointed as Dr Lewinn's is usually fantastic.

hard to apply

the formula was quite thick, greasy and didn't seem to sink into my skin very well.
the pump pack bottles are good because you get every last drop out of the product.
i love the Dr Lewinns products with this single exception.
