Excellent tips on self tanning. The tanning mit appears to be give much more even application.

Great tips for fake tanning, I love the St Tropez tanning range, i gives the best colour never orange and lasts for ages. My top tip for tanning is to always use a mit to stop those unsightly brown hands and ensure an even tan. Also remembering to moisterise, you wont believe how much better your tan looks and lasts.

My tip is don't try to create the perfect deep tan with the first application - better to apply a thin even layer first, and add a second coat the next day. Too much at one time is more likely to end up too dark around your ankles etc.
Gotta get myself one of those mitts though :-)

I always exfoliate my body the day before I fake tan, then on the day I put 1/2 fake tan,1/2 body moisterizer on a saucer, mix well, then quickly rub all over my body, wash hands immediately.Always looks real, not streaky or too dark or fake looking.

Great video tutorial. I've had some bad experiences with fake tan in the past and think I'll give it another shot using these tips and I totally agree with everyone else- the mitt looks like a must have! Only thing is that I would think it would soak up product, so might use a lot more product?? It's also much harder to apply on yourself as opposed to someone else doing it for you like in the video!

My tip is ask somebody to check that you haven't missed any areas. And to use a mit or glove- nobody wants orange hands!

Mine would be to gradually build it up, otherwise its easy to go to far to fast! Oh and always no matter what exfoliate first!

They make it look so easy but when I do it, not so good. I love the idea of the mitt. I moisturise the elbows, knees, wrists, ankles as these areas are always my areas that look so obvious.Moisturise every day to keep the skin glowing also. Most of all pre-exfoliation is vital!

My best fake tan tips are exfoliate, fake tan, moisturise and use an extender.

I sooo want this, looks awesome! It looks so easy, but I wonder if it's that easy when you apply it yourself?

Great tips! The mitt looks pretty cool and great for keeping tanner out of palms. The St Tropez mousse is great, very easy to use.

I've never used a tanning mitt as they always looked a bit awkward to use to me, but I think I will have to invest!

Top tips would be to not wear clothes immediately after application - especially white clothes - to avoid stains. I also would avoid sitting down for the first 20 minutes or so just to make sure. Have to admit though, some of the latest types of self-tanners are very quick drying so this makes it easier.
Also, don't apply over good carpet! I've stained carpet before!
