Excellent Natural Self Tan That Lasts Up To 3-4 Days

Ella Bache Great Tan Without Sun 50ml comes in a blue and brown up-down (lid base) squeeze container with a click open swing lid.
Great Tan Without Sun is a moisture rich self tan cream.
It gives skin an instant bronze tint, that develops into a tan in 1-2 hours.
The cream does not contain sun protection.
It can be used on face and body and is enriched with cocoa butter, lanolin, vitamin E and green tea to hydrate and protect skin.
I have a routine I like to use when I am going to use self tan products.
The night before I am going to use tanning solution I, do hair removal, body scrub to cleanse and exfoliate skin and use body moisturiser to hydrate skin.
The next morning I apply more body cream to thick skin areas such as elbows, knees and ankles, it helps the tanning solution produce an even streak free tan.
The self tan cream is dark brown and thick.
I use a tanning mitt to apply the cream to skin, blending as I go.
The texture is rich, smooth and lightly moisturising.
The tanning solution odour is virtually non-existant, an acceptable level.
Skin is instantly transformed with a light coloured tint.
I am careful with the amount I apply to knees and ankles, these areas can over absorb tanning solution resulting in uneven tan coverage.
I allow to dry for at least 1/2 an hour before dressing.
The end result is a natural tan, the tint developing into a light tan over a couple of hours.
The tanning product is brilliant, I love using it, the effect, my fake tan is wonderful, natural and very nice.
It gradually fades, lasting 3 - 4 days.
Great Tan Without Sun is a definite confidence booster.

Made in Australia under licence.

Really good product

This tan is amazing!
Goes on easily (I used a mit)
has a lovely texture and scent
has an isntant colour so you can see where it is, that then washed off to reveal an amzing bronzed glow thats left behind.

THe only flaw I feel this product has is that if you use a lot it takes a ages to dry and hours to stop feeling oily

Best in Beauty 2012

Everybody who knows me, knows I am a fake tan junkie- Cant get enough, mainly because I am so pale. I have always been a fan of Ella Bache products, so when I found this new NO SCENT and the amazing east to use lotion tube, I had to have it. Mainly because my flat mate tells me 'that fake tan smell againnnnnnnn' and the bathroom always has fake tan reminses. Not with this- no smell and no mess.
This has to be the best self tanning product i have ever tried, the colour look natural and is nice and deep in colour. The product is a thick very dark brown which appears daunting at first but gives great colour once applied. Applies even and doesnt go patchy at all, which is a huge factor when looking for fake tan! It applies with a tint-so you can get even application by seeing where you have applied.
This product gives a nice deep carribean brown colour after one application and instead of buying the ella bache face tan i mix this one with a bit of moisturiser for my face.
If you moisturiser regularly and keep up scrubing regularly, it will fade nicely and can last up to a week! Everybody always asks me if I have been on holidays when I use this-So I am loving it so much!!!

I have found the best method of application is:
Latex or rubber gloves..
Barrier cream on toes, palms...
Mix with a little moisturiser when applying to feet or use great tan for face.
Rub in well...
Take off gloves and use backs of your hands to blend from wrist to fingertips using same method for feet.
Downsides: May be too dark for pale skins and fairly pricey..(that said I am quite white myself, and it works for me)
I can usually get 3-4 applications out of one tube which costs me $40 Australian but I suppose thats what you pay for 1 bottle...

Best in Beauty 2012 - the only one I will use!

I am not a fan of fake tan products having tried many over the years and finding that either the colour is wrong on my skin or it is difficult to apply or almost impossible to remove. When my Ella Bache consultant showed me this product and the beautiful colour it imparts I had to give it a go.

I bought this with the tanning mitt which I find useful to use when applying the fake tan on my legs. It is easy to use and I have not found it streaky or blotchy. I just like a soft glow and this product is a gem. I don't use this on my face as there is another product purely for the face.

The best bonus is that it doesn't have that awful fake tan smell that many brands have. Although it is a bit pricey, to me it is worth paying a little more as I don't get anxious applying it compared to other products on the market, as I know it will work beautifully.

This is my HG tanning product!!!! It is super thick- seems to sink into my skin better than anything I have tried and lasts way longer than most fake tans, tending to fade off rather than wear/rub/flake off.

Great colour for my skin tone (medium tan) and I constantly get comments on how good my tan is only to have people look in disbelief when I tell them its a fakey! It is easy to apply and I never had problems with streaking or blotching.

The only downside is that it is a bit pricey- I can usually get 3-4 applications out of one tube which costs me $40 but I suppose thats what you pay for 1 spray tan...

Overall, this is the best fake tan I've used, and I've tried a lot of different brands! As a bit of a fake tan addict I can definitely say that this is the one I'd choose because of its great colour and easy application.

Beautiful colour!

Great self tanner! Comes out a nice brown colour rather than orange & no streaks! Deff wear some gloves or Ella Bache tanning mitt ($15) as it starts to develop quickly! Comes out of tube in dark colour which makes it easier to see where im going! Also now has a low odour !

Numero uno!

Trialed this back in October, and it’s still my #1 sunless tanning lotion. I’m an older gal, and pasty white flesh is simply not on, even if it’s just feet and arms. On the other hand deep bronzed or orangey skin is just as unattractive, and streaks, well let’s not even go there. Ella Baché Great Tan Without Sun gives me a natural looking honey glow that is super flattering, and even with a couple of rushing-out-the-door applications, it still manages to come out even and realistic. Fades gradually without tell-tale patching and has virtually no odour (no idea how they manage that!). The cream itself is a scary dark brown, but once spread and massaged in, my skin has a subtle warmth even before the colour fully develops, so it’s easy to correct any overdoses in the usual trouble spots.

Wouldn’t waste my time or money with any other product – this is a sure bet Glosscars winner :-)

Glosscar Review

I had heard from many people that this was the best tanner but was pretty doubtful it would work for me. I have very fair skin and all other tans I had tried made me look more orange than brown.

This comes in a blue bottle, that has a foil seal under the cap. The actual product is a very dark brown which was a little worrying as I thought it would make me way too dark. Especially as there wasn't any colour choices, it appears that the one tanner suits all skin-tones. I wore disposable gloves to avoid getting stained hands. However I did accidentally dip my wrist in the tanner. I washed it off straight away and there was no issues with staining. I could see my skin darken instantly, which made it really easy to see where I still needed to apply the tan. I didn't dress for 30 minutes like the instructions suggested and had no streaking or missed parts. The tan that I ended up with was a very light sunkissed brown that suits me perfectly. It has lasted me 5 days so far but it is starting to fade now.

Tips: Shave and moisturise the night before. The next day have a shower and exfoliate. Wear disposable gloves or wash your hands straight after applying. Apply the tanner with your palms and keep your fingers closed to avoid streaking.

Overall, this was a fantastic tanner that I will definitely be buying in the future. Thanks BH for the opportunity to trial it.

AMAZING!

This tan is by far the best I have ever used! It's a great colour and lasts for ages! However, I do find it dries a little too quickly so I mix with equal parts moisturizer and it blends a treat! Also, tanning mitt ESSENTIAL!

I honestly cannot believe that i have come across the best EVER fake tan. So many fake tans i have tried turn orange, streak and smell very bad. After searching the net for hours, the Ella Bache Great Tan Without Sun had the best reviews, so i decided to purchase it just before summer.

The tan comes in a bright blue tube, with a lid that flips up. It is very easy to use, you can control the amount of product coming out by squeezing the tube, the product is thicker so it wont run. It has a lovely light and clean scent, but not too strong, and i find it disappears as days go by after applying it. I have tried to apply it with my hands, it doesnt stain as long as you wash them immediatly after each application, but have found that disposable (latex) gloves do the job well too and less product waste! It does not stain clothes or bed sheets at all. The creams consistency is creamy and quite thick.

Before applying the fake tan (this goes for every fake tan), exfoliate your body really well! When i apply the tan to my body, it doesnt streak as long as i rub it in quickly. Also it is easy to apply because it is quite dark and you can see where you have and havent applied the product so the application is even. As it takes about 1 hour to dry, i put it on in the evening after a shower, and then brush my teeth, dry my hair etc, and so when i wake up in the morning the tan has developed. What i also love about it is that it really sinks into the skin, just like a moisturiser would!

The Ella Bache Great Tan without sun provides the most beautiful and natural, rich brown colour to my skin. It definately doesnt look fake, but i have medium tan skin tone so it blends perfectly, but i dont think it would look too well on those with very pale skin. To prolong the tan, moisturise day and night with a moisturiser that is recommended for very dry skin, i have found this works best! I do not apply it to my face as it is too thick, but Ella Bache does make the same tan but specifically for the face (it is a bit lighten and has slight shimmer). Just to add, one tube of this product is enough for over 5 full body applications! I couldn't recommend this enough!

Pure Goddess

Yeah... that is what you will look like after using this fake tan. It is natural looking and very easy to apply, you can re apply to get the extreme bronzed goddess look of corse but if you want a soft glow then this is it.
I use it every week and apply all over in the evening and then shower as normal the following day, it lasts for a week i find and slowly washes off naturally without going into patches and blotchy. I also may apply some more to chest arms and legs on a saturday to look a little more bronzed. All round i love Ella Bache, the best at home fake tan on the market!

Ella Bache Self Tanner

Two words - THE BEST - self tanner I have ever used to date! Please remember to use gloves as the fake tanned hands is not a good look and it's very hard to remove - even with the help of a squeezed lemon! A little goes a long way with this product and it absorbs very well and easy to obtain that streak free instant tan!
Doesn't take too long to dry, which is a great surprise, as I have used many a self tans where you have to wait for a good 20minutes for the product to absorb and dry! Would totally recommend this product - love it!

No dirty-looking tan's here!!

I was abit worried to try this product as it's the first self-tan cream I have used, as I usually go for spray tans or use a gradual tanning lotion. Well I can say that it was a waste of time worrying as this product is pretty much fool-proof in my opinion and gives much better results.
This moisture-rich self tan cream is housed in a cute blue tube, complete with flip top lid and comes in a generous 130mL size.
The cream itself looks like melted dark chocolate and smells just as good thanks to the cocoa butter it's enriched with. When the dark cream hit my skin it sort of melted into a light coloured tint as I buffed it in with my tanning mitt (which was soo easy). Once I had buffed it in to my skin I had to let it dry for 30minutes before dressing, then the tan developed over the next 1-2hours giving me a gorgeous summer glow. I just can't get over how soft my skin feels, my moisturiser I use everyday can't even get my skin this soft!!
I love that this tanner has an antioxidant complex of Vitamin E and Green Tea which help to protect the skin from free radical damage, as well as Lanolinand Cocoa Butter to keep skin hydrated.
The overall colour I got from using this cream is more than a tint, sort of like a sunkissed golden hue, but can be applied again if you want a deeper richer tan. It's the gorgeous glow I've been looking for, thank you soo much for allowing me to trial this fantastic product Beautyheaven.

Bella tan Ella :-)

Bella tan Ella :-)

Packaged in a deep turquoise plastic flip top tube, this is now the only tanner on my shelf. Was pleased to find a foil seal under the cap, and interestingly, no shade intensity (fair, medium etc.) on the outside - it seems one colour fits all :-) With no detectable smell (halleluiah), the creamy liquid is the colour of dark chocolate. It's actually a tad watery when it hits the skin, but not runny enough to be a problem with drips or trickling through your fingers. As it spreads so effortlessly, only a small quantity is required, and I reckon the tube will probably last me the whole season – now that’s a bonus. Being so dark in colour, it's easy to see the coverage, so the chance of missed patches or applying unevenly is minimised. The instructions say to remain uncovered for 30 minutes to allow it to dry, but I found it was absorbed within a few minutes, and there was zero tacky feel or stickiness, just soft golden skin. Being tinted, some colour is visible immediately - not full strength mind you, but enough to eliminate that pasty look if you're in a hurry to go somewhere. I found the colour developed fully within an hour (pack says 1-2 hours), and I could only detect the faintest typical tanner smell if I put my nose directly onto my skin. The recommendation is to wait 6 hours before showering, perspiring or contact with deodorant - I left it on all night, and there wasn’t a mark on my bed linen in the morning. Like all tanning products, you have to wash your hands thoroughly immediately after application - for this trial, I experimented with both bare hands and disposable gloves, but still my unprotected hand and nails showed no staining.

The clincher is the colour - a natural looking sun-kissed honey. Love it. Sadly my lighting wasn’t the best and so the photos don't do it justice - there's actually no hint of the usual orange or yellowy undertones. As recommended, I exfoliated prior to use and was delighted to NOT end up with darker patches on my ankles or knees – quite remarkable really. By day 3 the colour was beginning to fade a little (but evenly!) possibly because I only applied a very thin layer, however it's so quick to apply and dries so fast, slapping it on twice a week is no problem for me. I usually prefer gradual tanners as I have more control over the depth of colour - anything too dark looks unnatural on a gal of my advanced years, and so many of the instant browners I've tried produce a result that’s so obviously fake. It usually takes about four consecutive days with slow tanners for my skin to reach the glowy warm tone I’m after, followed by reapplications every couple of days, but Ella Baché Great Tan Without Sun gave me perfect streak-free golden skin after only one application, and roughly 60 minutes - I'm happy as a clam, and this is definitely my new fave tanner. Seriously, I'm so impressed, I've binned the other four partially used bottles of skin bronzing products I had in the bathroom cabinet. 5 summery stars EB, and I’ll be buying…

Beats any of the others

You need to have time to use this tanner, and special attention is required around any drier areas like elbows and knees.

Okay product

This product is ok, however i have definately used better DIY fake tan. It comes out veryyy dark on your skin while applicating, and takes a while to develop. I found that it was a little streaky, and comes out looking slightly 'dirty' (this is after exfoliating etc). It could just be the way I applied it, but i have used fake tan before and have had much better results. Also, it looks horrible and very obviously fake after a few days.

My favourite tanner!

I have tried sooooooooo many tanners, but this is one of my faves. It is a dark gel that looks scary, but really isn't at all. Smooth all over the body for the most divine golden tan ever. And it doesn't wash over in the shower...it lasts for around 4 to 5 days without the need to retouch!! Wash hands immediately aferwards because they will look very stained.
