Classic
This is an excellent soap that I've been using on and off over the years, and I especially like how it's gentle and does not make your skin dry like many other soaps. It also has a very pleasant unoffensive scent and makes you feel and smell so clean after a shower!

Best soap ever!
I am never using another soap again!
This is the most creamy, moisturising soap, it really feels like a great body wash.
My skin feels so hydrated afterwards, I don't need to use a moisturiser!
It's so much cheaper than a body wash, and lasts a long time, so it's great value for money.
I also really like the smell, sort of like baby powder, it makes the product feel more nourishing.
I highly recommend this soap, it's absolutely the best!

Great classic
A favourite of mine for many years - The creamiest soap around and my boyfriend and i just love the afforability and gentle cleansing.
It lasts quite a long time and has a beautiful fragrance and perfect for sensitive skin.

The only bar I consider
I prefer creams/gels but if for any reason I want to use a bar this is definitely the one I go to! It's great on my super dry skin and I love the lingering clean smell that doesn't overpower any scents I've put on for the day

Smells lovely and great to use
Dove beauty bar has me at the name, I love it. It sounds so pure and pretty, who doesnt want to use a beauty cream bar? I dont buy this too often because it just disappears in the shower. It loses its shape quite quickly- after the 2nd or 3rd day and then it becomes a bit too soft for me. Then in about a week or so, its become very small and disappears all together.

Wonderful product
The dove beauty bar works really well in creating a gentle lather that cleans and gets rid of dirt and other impurities. It leaves my hands feeling smooth and soft and very hydrated. It does not cause any tightness or itchiness in the skin due to its neutral pH, which works great with our skin. The bar also has a gentle scent, which is not too overpowering but still pleasant nonetheless. However, the bar does not last for a very long time, as our family uses it up in just barely a few weeks. Despite this, we normally purchase several bars in one go, due to its affordability and being an overall excellent product.

Non drying, long lasting, ticks just about every box
I have been trialling the Dove Beauty Cream Bar for about 3 weeks and it reall yhas surprised me - in a good way!
I have to admit that I pretty much never use supermarket soaps. I always assumed that they would be too drying. Instead, I use natural olive oil type soaps that you buy at markets as I always assumed that these were quite good for my skin.
I found that the soap had a slight lather - it wasn't a thick creamy lather, but more than enough to coat and clean my skin. The bar itself is actually quite hard and i have barely made a dent in it over the 3 week trial - this is surprising as my market soaps are lucky to last 3 weeks so this soap is going to be very long lasting and good value.
I found that whilst it left my skin feeling squeaky clean (typical of soap) once I got out of the shower it actually felt quite moisturised and didnt end up getting tight or itchy. I could actually get away without apply moisturiser after using this soap - another big surprise. I even tried it out on my face and had the same reaction - squeaky clean but not tight or dry. I wont regularly use it on my face however it is good to know that if i am going away for the weekend and only have limited luggage space i can bring a bar of this to used on my face and body without doing any harm.
As part of the trial I was aksed to test the pH of the Dove Beauty Creamy Bar and compare it with whatever soap I had previously been using. I was shocked to find out that the Dove bar came in at between a pH of 6 and 7 which is very close to the skins neutral pH7) whereas my natural soap had a pH of 9 - so it was quite alkaline. This means that the Dove ebauty cream bar is much better for my skin that the natural soap - I was very surprised by this finding.
The onl thing that I don't love about the Beauty Cream Bar is its scent. Its not particularly bad - just a typical 'soap' smell but I love my soaps to be beautifully fragranced and this one isn't. This is the only reason I gave this soap 4 stars rather than 5 stars.
I most likely will buy this again. I have been impressed with how long it lasts and the fact that my skin does not need moisturiser afterwards and especially by the fact that it much closer to the skins neutral pH than the natural soaps that i had thought were so good for my skin - it really makes me think twice about using them.

A classic beauty essential
I can't say I'm a big fan of bar soaps in gener but this is always a good one to have in the cupboard. I've used it on my body often and my face if there is nothing else around and it makes my skin clean without feeling ight or dry. I also like using a bar of this to clean dirty makeup brushes, gets rid of dirt from the bristler with ease!

good old dove soap.! i keep coming back to it as it is very moisturising and my skin feels so soft after using it. it is good value for money and i recommend it to anyone!

Best in Beauty 2012
After watching Deb’s video testing the pH levels of the Dove Beauty Cream Bar compared to other soaps, I didn’t need more convincing on which soap to use. Dove's Beauty Cream Bar is a luxurious white soap with its signature Dove carved in the centre and contains 1/4 moisturising cream. It’s a gentle soap, perfect for all skin types and especially for those with slightly dry skin. It lathers into a creamy and moisterising lather and cleans well without leaving the skin feeling tight or stripped. It has a delicate clean scent that’s not too floral or sweet so it’s also suitable for the guys and perfect for the whole family. This bar also comes in a small travel size which is perfect for nights away or holidays. I love this soap and would recommend to everyone.

great product
just simply love dove products. unlike many other products, Dove bar does not dry your skin. it is even very gentle on my sensitive skin.

Best in Beauty 2012
Yes, it may be a soap, but it certainly deserves to be in the running for Best in Beauty!
When I was given the Dove soap to trial, I will admit to being apprehensive, as it had been a long time since I had used shop bought soap. For years my family had switched from soap to body wash. As a requirement for trialling this soap was to use a regular soap for a week, I thought this was a cruel and unusual request, lol. Seriously, it was good to be reminded of the effects of soap on skin, and realise just how good Dove soap is.
Regular soap is drying, and although the skin is cleansed, every sud needs to be rinsed off, or there is the risk of traces of soap scum. Yuk! I hated the feeling of my dry skin after using soap, it felt stripped and only was relieved by a slathering of moisturiser.
I was so glad when the week was over, and I could use Dove soap.
I found that applying with a face washer was the best application for me. Not only could I cleanse my skin this way, but the face washer also helps to exfoliate the skin. The soap smells lovely and fresh. It lathered easily, and washing off was a breeze.
Most importantly was how my skin felt after use. No stripped skin, no tightness. The moisturisers did their job to leave my skin feeling adequately hydrated. I did use a body lotion once dry, but only from habit rather than necessity.
I normally use a body wash, but I can see that the soap is going to outlast any body wash, which makes for an economical form of cleansing.
I have been convinced that I can use a soap again, as long as it is Dove soap!

A Classic Favourite
I have been using Dove Beauty Bars since childhood and this product can never get too much praise from me. I have really sensitive skin so have never been a fan of traditional soaps (particularly the supermarket variety) as they often irritate my skin. This never dries it out. There are so many things I love about this product:
- Its creamy texture: it has a texture unlike any other soap I've used before and is unique to Dove. It makes you feel incredibly clean without stripping your skin of any moisture.
- Its colour and scent: I love its characteristic strong white colour and delicate perfume
- Its affordability: such quality for the price, and because the bar is so firm (unlike other soaps that quickly start to disintegrate) it lasts a long time - so you get more bang for your buck.
This is one product I will be guaranteed to continue purchasing in future. A true classic that endures for good reason.

My travel choice
When I travel I leave the body wash at home because I don't want to risk an explosion of liquid through my bad in transit. I find the Dove bar nearly as gentle on the skin, and in some ways like it better, as if gives that really clean "soapy" scent.
I remember the ad on tv and the women were also using it on their faces. I tried this once, but I think it's too harsh for that, pH neutral or not.
It doesn't last long. I find one bar lasts about a week when hubby and I are both using it.

1 bar does it all
I love having a bath because of this little germ. I do everything with this dove beauty bar, from washing to shaving. I use dermalogica skincare, but dove beauty bar is what i use to wash my face.

Cleansed, soft & refreshed skin!
This bar works wonders for my sensitive skin. It makes it feel so soft, cleansed and healthy. It also leaves it smelling amazing & looking smooth and silky.
I always have a bar of this moisturizing soap lying in my shower - because it is really well priced and makes my skin feel so amazing :)

Love it!
Love this stuff, does what it says. My family runs through this stuff like crazy. and we always go back to it! leaves the skin feeling clean and moisturiser unlike other bars that can leave it feeling tight after you come out of the shower.

Good soap
This is the best soap out there, but still soap isn't really my thing. It doesn't leave as much residue or make you feel 'squeaky' like other soaps and smells lovely. I used this on my face and it didn't harm my skin. Its gentle but even though there are moisturisers and such in this soap, i still found a little drying.

Great Value, great result, I'm sticking to it!
My mother loves Dove and have told me for years to use it for my acne prone skin. It has took me years and finally I have gotten into it. After using it my skin has transform to nice clearer skin. It has been 8 years since I have used this product and I'm loving it. It's gentle on the skin and I use it everyday morning and night.

Beautifully creamy
I'm not a big soap user (I tend to stick with body wash) but after the rave reviews of this product, I felt I had to try it. And I wasn't disappointed! This bar is so creamy and rich, with a light, lovely, natural smell. It lathers well and makes me skin feel oh so smooth and fresh. The only thing that I disliked about this product was how quickly it disintegrated - because it's so creamy, it's liable to fall apart more quickly if you keep it in a wet environment. I found that keeping it in a soapbox that I removed from the shower helped it last longer.

Lovely!
I received this in my Beautorium haul and love it, so does hubby who's actually claimed a bar to use in the shower! I have the other one in my bathroom for hand washing.
It is so silky smooth and leaves your hands so soft and nourished. It doesn't dry the skin at all and has a light pleasant fragrance. Great value to money too, I will definitely purchase this soap in the future since I'm not the only one in this household who loves it!

Baby soft skin
I got this in beautorium, and its an excellent soap bar. The moisturising cream within the soap bar is perfect for winter, and leaves my hands soft after washing them! I love this little gem in the shower as well, as it lathers nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or unsmooth like other soaps can. The soap also feels quite creamy on my skin, which I love. A must have beauty product for winter, and it is does not dry out your skin.

Dove Beauty Bar is awesome for dry skin like mine. My diabetic skin can be awfully dry. Keeps me from feeling any burning sensations.

Better than regular soap
This is definitely better than regular soap, you can notice the difference as soon as you start using it. Definitely not as drying and harsh. My mum uses it on her face as well and swears by it! Definitely a winner in the shower.

Works fine, but a bit drying
This works alright as a body soap - but it's nothing to rave about in my opinion. It's not as moisturising as it claims and actually leaves my skin feeling a bit dry and stripped of moisture. It lathers well and does leave the skin feeling nice and clean.

Iconic
Definitely iconic! Even with all these other soaps in the market, this is still the gold standard. It has just enough moisturisers without making it heavy, and just enough scent without competing with perfume. Absolutely, perfect!
I've used this forever and although sometimes I get tempted and try another brand, I always come back to this bar. Every now and then I venture out with Dove's other scents, but I don't think I'll ever go to another brand of soap again.

better than regular soap
So this soap isnt exactly revolutionary and hasnt just come out onto the market.
But iv known it long enough to tell you its better than regular soap. It doesn't leave your skin tight or irritated (cheap soaps can do it to you. Take my word, im a student, i know) . In any country, dove is the safest option and im pretty sure dove is widley spread out in the world. so you can buy it even if you are going for a trip to india or africa.

Less drying than conventional soaps
I find this soap less drying than conventional soaps. It has a lovely gentle fragrance. The consistency is quite creamy so it is pleasant to use. My skin feels less dry after use than with most conventional soaps.
I can use this on my face with no irritation. However, it does slightly irritate my back!
I think it is quite pricey for soap. I prefer to spend big on handmade artisan soaps.

Great body soap
I love this soap for my body, as I normally use a PH balanced body wash from QV this is an okay alternative to use. I love the scent and quality of this soap. If I am going to use soap in the future I would purchase this again for its decent PH level.

Fantastic
I love this soap! It's got a nice subtle scent, feels divine when lathering it on your body and the shape of it is just so cute. I find that this seems to be much less harsh for me compared to other soaps.

i didn't realise how harsh normal soap was until i switched to dove. this soap gives a nice clean refreshed feeling after use but doesn't leave the skin dry and flaky afterwards. it isn't too expensive either, which is always a plus!

Dove Beauty Bar
It is magic! You can use it on your entire body, including your hair if you run out of shampoo.
In actual fact this product was recommended to my Mother several years ago due to chronic dermatitis, with dry itchy skin which was so bad she was scrathing it to bleeding point in her sleep. I too am now using it. My skin had suddenly started peeling in the warmer weather even though I had not been out in the sun.

Totally worth it
This is our family most used soap, its gentle o the skin has a mild pleasant smell, lathers easily. Love the simple oval shape and logo on it too. It really does help your skin stay hydrated in all seasons. Its a must have in our bathroom. I use it on my girls who have eczema and it causes no dryness or irritations for them. Hubby loves it as its not a girly smell :).
Its very rich in lather which I like a lot too and skin feels well cleaned without feeling tight.

Gentle
I usually do not use soap on my face as i find it dries my skin out.I did however like the Dove Beauty Cream Bar on my face and used it on my face on a daily basis. I liked the fragrance as it's not overbearing and has a pleasant aroma. I found the Soap Bar lathers up quite nicely into a Creamy foam and has a soft texture to it.
My skin felt soft and not dried out which was a plus for myself as i suffer from dryness and am proned to have sensetive skin.
Overall i was impressed with the Dove Beauty Cream Bar and would recommend to Family and Friends.

Soft, moisturising and smells great
I started using this a few weeks ago and it's really great. It's like putting a liquid moisturiser in the shower, if that makes sense. My skin really feels nourished and the gentle scent is really pleasant.

Dove Beauty Cream Bar
The Dove Beauty Cream Bar is an old favourite that has been around for even longer than me and over the years it has procured its rightful place with a home in my family bathroom. I consider it to be the ‘Rolls Royce’ of all soaps, with this delightful beauty bar providing pure luxury when it comes to maintaining clean, comfortable skin. Unlike your average cake of soap, a quarter of this cleansing bar is infused with the reputable rich and highly nourishing Dove moisturising lotion, therefore it’s more like a lotion and less like a soap. I have sensitive skin myself and my son, in particular, has an extremely allergic skin condition, so it’s important that we use a soap that will not cause irritation or exasperate the problem, hence the dermatologist approved recommendation of the Dove Beauty Cream Bar gives me peace of mind that it’s safe to use on the whole family, even those with the most sensitive of skin.
Each beauty bar is individually packaged in a cardboard wrapper adorning the signature Dove packaging that is widely recognised. It boasts a delectable scent, which appeals to me tenfold and satisfies my senses, in comparison to the majority of commercial soap bars on the market that smell like…..well just like soap. For many years now, I have always avoided using harsh soaps on my body and especially on my face, as I don’t like the smell at all, nor the way that it leaves my skin feeling parched and stripped of it’s moisture. Whilst I mostly only use the Dove Beauty Cream Bar to wash my body, I have used it on my face as well and even though it’s not a practice that I employ all the time, I would confidently use it if I had no alternative, without worrying that it will dehydrate my skin, additionally causing it to produce more oil that then constitutes annoying breakouts. The beauty bar is super creamy in texture when it comes into contact with water and it easily works up into a rich, foamy lather that deeply cleans my skin, yet instantly transforms the overall appearance leaving it velvety soft, silky smooth and adequately conditioned, minus any tacky residue.
This soap is the perfect addition to any bathroom, catering for men, women and children alike. It is a multi-tasking product that would be a handy travel companion, when you need to limit the amount of products you can take with you. It is ideal for cleansing from head-to-toe, also making an effective substitute for a normal shampoo, in addition to replacing your normal array of skin care products. I have also discovered it s a perfect makeshift shaving cream and because of the beneficial moisturising properties; it helps to guarantee a closer shave that protects my skin from developing razor burn, rashes or ingrown hairs. Dove Beauty Cream Bar is readily available at all leading supermarkets and pharmacies, very affordable, long lasting and reliable, earning its well respected reputation as being so much more than a soap, in fact it’s a beauty product in its own right.

Same as my regular soap
When I first opened the box, the first thing that hit me was the heady fragrance. I coudn't wait to try it out!
The trial letter had instructions to use normal soap for 1 week, then the Dove, but I was impatiently curious about the end results. So instead, I used my regular soap on one half of my body, and the Dove on the other half. The whole time, I took care not to mix the two up, as well as making sure I rinsed carefully so that the lather from one side didn't run to the other side of my body (to avoid compromised results).
The Dove bar lathered easily & imparted a lovely fragrance to my skin leaving it soft, without the tight feeling that some soaps can leave your skin.
Having said that, my regular soap does pretty much the same thing. The soaps I normally use are those handmade ones you get from the markets. So after a coupla weeks, I didn't notice any difference on the Dove side of my body compared to the side that I used my regular soap on.
Retailing at $4.49, I'll be sticking to my handmade soaps which are about 4 bars for $10.

Trial Team Review
I was asked to do a comparison review on my regular soap vs Dove Beauty Cream Bar after using them both for one week.
My regualr 'soap' is actually a body wash and is also made by dove, called 'Tripple Moisturising Deeply Nourishing Body Wash'. Now you might ask 'Why bother doing a review on 2 moisturising products from the same company?'. Well the results are very surprising as I thought that as well and also wondered just how different 2 moisturising products could be. The answer is VERY!
Regular 'soap' - Dove Tripple Moisturising Deeply nourishing Body Wash is one of my all time favourite products and I use it preety much 365 days of the year. I love the smell and I love the way it makes my skin feel - especially in summer when some moisturising products leave sticky greasy residue Dove does not and yet it still does not dry out my skin. I use it with a loofah sponge so my skin always feels silky soft and smooth. In winter, however, I do need to use a body lotion or cream as my skin does become considerably drier in the colder months. The body wash is great but I do still need to use body lotion sometimes - even in summer, as my skin does feel dry on occasion.
Trial Soap - Dove Beauty Cream Bar. I have used this soap in the past but had all but forgotten about it until asked to trial it. I won't be forgetting about it again too soon as I really loved the way it made my skin feel. I used it for about 3 weeks and when I started we had some very hot days followed by some very humid days and then a few cooler days so I got to know how it made my skin feel in different temperatures. In the hot and humid days showering with this soap was Amazing! It left my skin feeling soft and freshly fragranced and NOT DRY! It even feels better than my Dove Body Wash! I was completely shocked. I deliberately did not use body lotion as I wanted to know how my skin would feel from using just the soap. No tightness and no itchy after shower feeling just smooth clean fresh moisturised skin! I am so thrilled with the results of this product that I will actually be buying it for my winter showers AND it is much more practical for travelling to take a bar of soap as soap does not SPILL! . I konw some people don't like the smell but it seems to be about 50/50 split between we who love it and those who don't. I guess it just comes down to personal preference, you either love it or loathe it. At least it is easy to smell it before you buy it!

No ordinary soap
Thanks to beautyheaven and Dove for sending me this product to trial. I have used the Dove Beauty Cream Bar in the past but I must admit I was a little concerned at the idea of going back to using a soap on my skin because I have been using soap free body washes for years now. We all know the good old ad for this product said it contains "one quarter moisturising cream and won't dry your skin like soap can". I think I have always been a little skeptical of this claim because I just remember the tight and uncomfortable feeling that my skin gets using a bar of soap.
I was sent one bar to trial and I used my ordinary body wash for one week and then was supposed to be using the Dove bar for a week, but I was so impressed that I have continued to use it, and nearly 2 weeks has gone by. Things I love about the beauty bar include the lovely scent, it is a fresh and "soapy" scent that sticks with you - no need for perfume if you like the fragrance enough. It also is quite powerful enough to keep the shower recess smelling nice and fresh. I also love the curved shape of the bar, it is more "ergonomic" than a typical bar of soap and sits nicely in your hands whilst you're washing. The bar lathers well and so it feels like you're getting a good clean without too much effort - it also seems to last well, I have used about half to two thirds of the bar after about 2 weeks of daily washes and so you'd probably get up to a month out of one bar for an individual and for a large family you'd only be spending a couple of dollars a week.
I like my skin to feel hydrated and smooth all day and after I shower I make sure to moisturise too. This has been especially important for me in my pregnancy as my skin is stretching and can get itchy and very tight if it is dry. I found that using the Dove bar my skin felt silky and smooth after each wash, and never tight or dry. A couple of times I almost forgot to put on my body moisturiser because my skin felt so comfortable! I was even so happy with the results it gave my body that I dared to use it a couple of times as my morning face cleanser in the shower (shock, horror!)... and whilst my skin seemed to tolerate this well, I probably wouldn't use it as my regular face cleanser because my skin gets drier than normal lately and seems to work best with an oil- or cream-based cleanser.
The only drawback for me using a bar of soap is the scummy stuff that ends up on your soap holder in the shower or basin - I really like the cleanliness and convenience of my body wash in a pump pack because there is no messy residue to scrub off when you're cleaning the bathroom.
Overall I was very impressed and although I would probably stick to my body washes out of habit I think for people who prefer a bar style soap the Dove Beauty Cream Bar is a perfect choice.

Trial Team Review - Sensational Soap
I have always been a little bit nervous about using soaps on my face. This has stemmed from past experiences of facial soaps that really dried my skin out leaving it feeling tingly and irritated. But Dove Beauty Cream Bar is different. For starters it has a lovely perfumed scent. That usually rings alarm bells for me too but in fact, soaps don't come any more gentle and less irritating than this one. From the moment that I added water and massaged it into my skin, it has not caused me any sensitivity whatsoever (and my skin is prone to sensitivity believe me).
This is a foaming sort of soap as you would expect but you can really also feel as you use it that it is creamier than most soaps and the added moisturiser really stays on the skin after rinse off. So the soap does a great job of cleaning my skin while leaving it soft and hydrated. Unheard of!
I also like that this product is greener in terms of its cardboard packaging. But the problem with this though is that the soap was a little hard to store between uses (where other members of the family wouldn't wash their hands with it.) I tried a soap container but I found that water pooled inside and made the soap a bit mushy. I moved it to the shower caddy that had a drainable soap dish but found that the shower water splashed on it and also tended to keep it a bit wet. The Beauty Bar still stayed basically intact but not as nice to use over time.
But as soaps go I really think that this is excellent and better than a lot of more expensive brands I've tried. It is a great product in terms of price and value for money and really does moisturise the skin without irritation while it cleanses. So Beauty Bar is a quality product that won't break the bank!

The only one I trust
I know some soaps have ph levels that can damage our skin, that's why thisnisnthemonlymone I trust. From the days of when I was in high school I have known about the neutral ph balance of dove soaps.
This product fits perfectly into my palm and leaves my skin feeling moisturised and fresh. I have found that other soaps leave my skin feeling very dry but dove soap leaves my skin hydrated. It comes in a variety of sizes and packs and it's cheap. I feel as though dove in general is a brand that is known to be reliable and this product does not fall short of living up to the dove standard. I would recommend this to anyone,mot thosenwhonhave sensitive skin I would recommend the sensitive beauty bar.

Fantastic!!!
This is a fabulous body soap which truely does moisturise and seems better than any other soap or body wash i have tried!! It lathers up to form a creamy, richly scented foam, cleans thoroughly and leaves the skin silky smooth and soft. I tend to have very dry skin especially towards the colder months and I have found using this has taken away the need for regular moisturising. Kind enough too that the entire family can use it! This one will definitely be going in the shopping basket in future!

Devine Dependable Dove
I must confess I have used Dove Beauty Bar for a number of years. However, when I was sent a packet to trial, I duly went out and purchased a standard good quality soap bar to compare the two.
The difference is marked. My skin felt very dry and scratchy after using the alternative product for a week and I was very happy to go back to my Dove .
I love the Dove fragrance as it lingers on you skin without overpowering.
The bar lathers well so you feel you are really cleaning your skin and washes away easily.
It is PERFECT for when you need to shave,as it keeps the skin soft and enables the razor to glide over easily.
Best of all you step out of the shower feeling moisturised. Not that dry tight skin feeling.
The whole family uses Dove, including my daughter who has sensitive skin.

Team Trial Review of Dove Beauty Cream Bar
Love the scent, shape and look of the Dove Beauty Cream Bar. The shape makes it easy to hold whilst showering - no slipping out of your hand! And the scent is mild and fresh - great for men or women. I loved how it didn't dry out my skin, similar effect to when I do use a shower cream/gel to shower, which is what I normally use. I don't normally use soap when I shower, but this Dove Beauty Cream Bar really takes the cake! It's pH neutral - meaning it's great for my skin, cleanses as well as moisturises and best of all there won't be any arguments over the fact that it's also gender neutral!

Beauty Trial - Dove Cream Bar
The Dove Cream Bar soap is a lovely product and I was lucky enough to trial it as part of the Trial Team. The soap produces a creamy lather and has a nice fragrance to it and is gentle on your skin, leaving it feeling soft. But for me that is it and really just seems like a regular soap and doesn’t do anything wonderful or different to my skin as other soaps, that I use, do.
I still like the cream bar soap a lot though and is presented in a nice box and I do like the Dove Brand and products, so I would still recommend the soap but for me nothing special.

Trial Team review for Dove Soap
I was fortunate enough to receive a bar of this soap to trial. Normally I’m not a fan of soaps and use bath & shower gels instead, as I find soaps dry out my skin, but I’m happy to try anything once. The first thing I noticed about this was the lovely fragrance, and rather than discard the packaging, I’ve used the empty box as a scented drawer liner!
I liked the curved shape of the bar which fits nicely in my hand, unlike the rectangular shape of many other soaps.
As per the trial instruction letter, I used a normal soap for 1 week, then changed to the Dove soap..BIG difference!!!
I love how creamy this soap feels on my skin, it lathers up nicely & didn’t feel and tightness nor dryness. My skin felt soft and supple afterwards and I didn’t feel the need to use a moisturizer either. 10/10

Beautiful, luxurious, creamy, fragrant bar of loveliness
As a non-soap user I was extremely interested in trialling this Beauty bar as I have always found soap to be drying on my reasonably sensitive skin.
I haven't used a bar of soap for approximately 8 years (being a body wash user) but my husband refuses to use body wash so we were both ready to put the Beauty Bar to the test.
I absolutely love the fact that Dove have used cardboard packaging for their product as it is far more environmentally friendly and I didn't have to struggle with cellophane type packaging.
The first thing that I noticed was the gorgeous scent. I could even smell it before I opened the box!
I love the shape of the bar as it is very ergonomic in the hand and doesn't tend to slip out of my hand as easily as regular soaps. It is a very creamy bar that lathers extremely well, and most importantly leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturised without any feeling of tightness.
I have never used a 'soap' that has left my skin feeling as nice as the Dove Beauty Bar.
My husband has commented on how soft his skin is feeling and I absolutely love the fresh scent on his skin after he has used it - there is no need for aftershave!
I have been really pleasantly surprised by this gorgeous bar and it will be a regular in our bathroom from now on.

DOVE!
A cult classic - my mother has used this since forever, and so I've followed suit. I've never used any other soap my entire life (except the occasional body wash from the Body Shop!) and I never will! This product is just AMAZING! I buy it in bulk when it's on sale and my cupboard is full!
Keeps my skin amazingly soft, is perfect to shave with, wonderful and gentle on my face, and perfect for all around cleansing.
I feel I don't even need to moisturise my face after using this as it is so gentle and soft. And the smell is amazing!

Beautifully moisturising
The first thing I noticed about Dove Beauty Bar was its strong fresh, "soapy" scent. Not my favourite smell, but not unpleasant either, and I found that it toned down once it was in the water, and it wasn't overpowering on the skin.
The size and shape of the soap means it fits nicely in the hand, making it easy to use. It feels beautifully creamy on the skin - the generous 1/4 moisturising cream is very evident. I often find that soap makes my skin feel dry and stripped. but Dove made it feel soft and nourished. For once I didn't feel like I needed to race to apply moisturiser after my shower.
I wouldn't select it based on smell, but certainly would based on performance.

A very nice option for soap users
Thanks to Beauty Heaven for sending me this product to trial. I will state from the outset that I am strictly a body wash woman but this soap was very nice to use. It lathered well, but not too much and it felt like ti washed off my skin completely . Often soaps feel like they leave a residue on the skin but the beauty bar did not feel that way at all. The scent was pleasant but very strong. I left it in the shower in my en suite and I could smell it when I was lying in bed! It didn't irritate my skin at all which was good. I did find that the product was quite moisiturising and my arms and legs did not seem as dry as they usually do when using my body wash.

A soap that skin can love!
When I was given the Dove soap to trial, I will admit to being apprehensive, as it had been a long time since I had used shop bought soap. For years my family had switched from soap to body wash. As a requirement for trialling this soap was to use a regular soap for a week, I thought this was a cruel and unusual request, lol. Seriously, it was good to be reminded of the effects of soap on skin, and realise just how good Dove soap is.
Regular soap is drying, and although the skin is cleansed, every sud needs to be rinsed off, or there is the risk of traces of soap scum. Yuk! I hated the feeling of my dry skin after using soap, it felt stripped and only was relieved by a slathering of moisturiser.
I was so glad when the week was over, and I could use Dove soap.
I found that applying with a face washer was the best application for me. Not only could I cleanse my skin this way, but the face washer also helps to exfoliate the skin. The soap smells lovely and fresh. It lathered easily, and washing off was a breeze.
Most importantly was how my skin felt after use. No stripped skin, no tightness. The moisturisers did their job to leave my skin feeling adequately hydrated. I did use a body lotion once dry, but only from habit rather than necessity.
I normally use a body wash, but I can see that the soap is going to outlast any body wash, which makes for an economical form of cleansing.
I have been convinced that I can use a soap again, as long as it is Dove soap!

Trial Team Review
Its been many years for me since I had used Dove Beauty Bar so it was interesting to give it another try after all this time.
i have very sensitive skin. My neck and face will become extreemly red, tight, the skin itches and becomes very dry and flakes. I pretty much know on first use if a product is not going to work for me as my skin will sting.
As part of the trial team I was asked to use normal everyday soap for a week and then switch to Dove Beauty Bar and note the differances. For me there was no way that i would dare to use everyday soap on my face but i was willing to use it on my body in the shower. Everyday soap was not kind and as soon as i would get out of the shower my legs would be itching and if i didnt moisturise then my legs started flaking like crazy but in the name of science i persisted. After a week it was a relief to switch to Dove Beauty bar which i used all over including my face. My skin breathed a sigh of relief. When i climbed out of the shower i no longer had the itchy feeling and the skin on my face felt soft and clean. My dry legs started to calm and i didnt need to moisturise them as soon as i climbed out of the shower if i dint want to.
Im an eczema sufferer and found that Dove Beauty bar didnt upset my eczema either.
The fragance is light and delicate.
I very inexpensive product and i feel this would be a wonderful product to have for young girls to use before they reach the teen years. In fact i think soap is something that we should not be allowing kids to put on their faces at all. Dove beauty bar should be in everyones bathroom.
This product does as it says. Its honest and true.
A product i will certainly repurchase.

Trial Team Review
I used Dove beauty bar many years ago and was interested to try it again so I was pleased to be invited to trial it for BH.
The packaging is nothing to write home about. It is in a cardboard box with Dove's blue and gold colours on a white background. The box doesn't have the best seal closure and mine arrived with the enclosed tab open. I would not be happy to buy this in a store and find that the box has opened as you never know whether someone has touched the soap.
The soap is white and fits nicely in the palm of one's hand which makes it easy to use and less likely to drop it (often happens with a very large soap bar). I find the fragrance of the soap to be unoffensive but not very appealing. The soap provides sufficient lather and my skin does not feel dry after using it and feels reasonably moisturised.
Having used the soap for a week it has lasted well and am likely to get another couple of weeks use which provides good value for money. However, I prefer a more luxurious bathing experience and, given the issues I have with the packaging and I am not crazy about the scent, I don't think I would purchase this.

Surprisingly good
I received the Dove Beauty Cream Bar as part of the trial group. I don't usually use soap for cleansing and have used a cream cleanser for years, deliberately staying away from soaps which tend to dry my skin
However, I enjoyed using this product. After using it for two weeks I found that my skin was smooth, well cleansed and not dehydrated at all. Did it really look younger?
I read some of the other reviews which commented on the distinctive fragrance, but I actually liked this. The texture of the soap was great and it washed off easily with warm water. I do like a cleanser that I can remove with cotton pads but this was not the case with Dove Beauty Cream Bar.

When I received this as part of my trial I was only too happy to reveiw this product as I have used Dove since it first came on the market. For a week I used a regular soap for a week to refresh my memory on why I use this soap. Which was torture as dove really does leave the skin feeling less dry than regular soap. The packaging is a simple and easy to open box with no annoying plastics. the soap is a soft scented curved bar with no edging and a cute etching of a dove. i find that the soap cleans the skin well, with a creamy lather, and leaves a soft scent that lingers without making my skin feeling tight or dry. My family enjoy the luxury of this soap as well and prefer it over most other soaps.,and the only negative critisism I can give it is that it tends to get soft and waste away very easilyif not left to dry properly between uses. but other than that a highly recommended and quality product

Who needs air freshner when there is a Dove in your bathroom?
Thank you to Beauty Heaven and Dove for the opportunity to trial the Beauty Cream Bar. This is a moisturising bar and I have very dry skin and eczema, so I was really looking forward to seeing how it worked on my skin.
The product comes in an environmentally friendly cardboard box which is easy to recycle. It has no unnecessary plastic packaging. Full marks to Dove for this.
The first thing I noticed about the bar was its scent – a sweet, soapy smell with hints of sugared almonds. I found it appealing and very lasting. I’ve been using the bar for almost three weeks now and the box still smells of it! It also lingers pleasantly on my skin. As for the bathroom, well … who needs air freshener when you’ve got a bar of Dove sitting in the shower?
The unusual curved shape of the bar was easier to grip in the palm than the more common square shaped soap. But it was more slippery when it was put in a soap holder so it needed to be securely stored. Overall, I liked the shape.
My instructions were to use my regular soap for one week and the Dove bar for the next. Since the Dove bar is intended for use on both the face and the body, I used my regular bar of body soap on both as well – for a fair comparison. (It was not very kind to my face!)
My regular soap leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and, initially, Dove gave me the same feeling. With prolonged use, my skin felt less squeaky with the Dove. Yet, although the Dove bar did not strip my skin, I didn’t find it moisturised my skin either. I still needed to use plenty of moisturiser to prevent my skin from drying out.
The Dove bar lathers well and takes off as much dirt as any soap. However, I found it did not remove make up well by itself. (In fairness, it doesn’t claim to do this, but I would generally expect a bar of soap to be able to remove make up.)
I was a bit reluctant to use the same bar on my body and my face for hygiene reasons, and I would probably use separate bars for each. It would be great if Dove made smaller cream bars that could be used on the face only. However, when travelling, it would be handy to have a multitasking product to pack away.
Overall, I found the Dove bar was kinder on my body than my regular soap, and I would happily use it in the future for this purpose. I would be more reluctant to use it regularly on my face as my facial skin was left a bit too dry. However, I’d be happy to use it occasionally on my face if the need arose.

Smooth and creamy
Compared to other soaps it doesn't dry up your skin. Not expensive and it's definitely worth getting it compared to other soaps. Now I've tried it, I'll never go back.

Love this product.
I was a little nervous before trialling this product out as i have extremly sensitive skin and i only ever use Goats Milk soap. So i trialled it for the first time expecting to feel alittle itchy after but instead my skin felt clean, soft, fragranced and moisturised minus the itch and rash that normally develops after using a soap including an organic one, so this was the first. When in the shower and lathering the soap on my body i found the soap to cream up, almost like a body cream, the fragrance is amazing, that classic Dove fragrance that isnt too overpowering but smells clean and fresh. Easy to wash off and i found my skin to feel so clean and soft not tight and dry like most soaps can. When dry i could still smell the soap on my skin which left a lasting fresh clean fragrance on my body. I didnt use the soap on my face as the skin on my face is prone to breakouts really easy so i just couldnt take that risk, not with a wedding coming up. I am suprised by this product as my skin feels wonderful after using it.

Family favourite
Dove has always been a staple in our bathroom and this Dove Beauty Cream Bar is a welcome addition. I suffer from very sensitive skin and using most soaps and bath gels result in itchy red skin. Not with Dove! This milky soap feels smooth and silky and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and looking clean and clear. The perfume is pleasant and the bar lasts a long time. It even overrides my rule of not washing the face with soap! I also like the way it is not over-packaged.

The first thing I noticed about this product was the strength of the fragrance as I took it out of the box (yes, it's in a cardboard box, not very bathroom friendly really?)
I like my soap to have a little bit of scent, but this bar has a strong smell that I'm not really that keen on.
On first use, it felt soft and creamy, but still lathered up well.
I didn't realise just how soft and creamy this bar was until I went back to the soap I was using before the trial. Yes, it definitely is creamier than my normal soap, but I couldn't say that my skin felt any more moisturised than usual after using it for a few weeks.
I thought the bar mightn't have lasted very long, being so soft, but it has lasted quite well.
Overall, this is a product that I would use again, but it wouldn't be my first preference.

Trial Team Review - Not really for me.
I was slightly taken aback by the strong perfume when I opened the box - fortunately the perfume doesn't linger after bathing but it is stronger than I like. I also found the soap less than wonderful BUT I'm not blaming the product. I have a sensitivity to many perfumes and I hadn't realised that I like liquid soap more than a bar until I used the Dove. I honestly hadn't realised how long I've been using liquid "soap free" products until I needed to make a judgement about the Dove soap bar.
The shape is excellent and it lathers well and isn't drying.
I'd really like to try the fragrance free Extra Sensitive Dove bar.
I actually feel badly marking the soap bar down to 3 stars because I do feel that I'm making a judgement on a product that isn't necessarily for me, but could be brilliant for many others.
I couldn't decide exactly why it didn't appeal overmuch to me, apart from the perfume, but it isn't something I'll buy again.
It does seem that liquid soaps appeal to me more than bar soaps.

Dove Beauty Cream Bar Trial Team
When Dove Beauty Cream Bar was being marketed heavily here in the 1990s, the “One-quarter moisturiser” slogan passed me by because at the time, I was a teen who was battling very breakout prone skin. Therefore, the thought of moisturising face soap was unappealing to me. Now I'm in my mid-thirties (still!) with temperamental, but much drier skin and a lot more knowledge of skin care, so I no longer find the the idea of a moisturising soap scary!
I have always been a big fan of soap and water as a facial cleansing regime because a) I like to keep things simple and inexpensive and b) my skin always seems better the less I fuss with it. A lot of the time I use soap that I make myself, but most recently I had been using other commercially available brands, which I felt were quite harsh on my facial skin and irritating to other parts of my body. For these reasons I thought that I would be a perfect candidate for this BH trial
As soon as I opened my parcel from BH the Dove bar ‘announced’ itself with a very strong fragrance. It smelt a little like candle wax to me also! Although the fragrance is quite strong (at least to me) it is quite lovely, and gave the bathroom a nice aroma.
From the first time I used the Dove bar I loved it. It was creamy and gentle, yet my face felt thoroughly cleansed. It was also great on the rest of my body, especially the ‘intimate’ areas as it didn’t sting or cause any irritation (probably due to it being Ph balanced). The longer I used Dove on my face, the softer my skin felt. I really did notice an improvement in the condition of my skin.
I would thoroughly recommend this beauty bar to anyone, but especially to those of you who still prefer to wash with soap rather than face or body liquid cleansers. If fragrance bothers you, I do believe there is also a fragrance free version of Dove available. The other fabulous thing about Dove is that the bar last for ages, so it’s a very economical method of cleansing.
I really cannot fault this product and thanks to the trial, I am now officially converted to Dove Beauty Cream Bar! Thank you once again BH!

Trial win!
As part of the trial team, I felt like I had a slight advantage here as I already love this soap- it is the only soap bar I will use!
As an avid user of liquid body washes, this is the only soap bar that comes close to having the moisturising properties of a moisturising wash. It leaves the skin soft, moisturised and beautifully scented. It is quick to wash off without leaving any residue other than the lovely smell and soft skin, even my partner loved it- and I loved smelling him after showering! It's hard enough to encourage men to care for their skin, and I have given up on making him use a face wash. But I believe that this beauty can even softly cleanse the face- and I noticed the difference in his skin after just a week.
A must have for any bathroom.

Brillant
Having sensitive skin, I am always a little cautious; especially with anything perfumed. I found this to be fabulously soft, and not any problems with my skin.
I did find the perfume of the soap, rather strong; though that may be due to being use to using non perfumed skin care.

Dare to Compare BHTT
As part of the BHTT our aim is to compare Dove Beauty Cream Bar to regular soap, using the products for a week each on my face and body.
DOVE BEAUTY CREAM BAR:
The Dove Beauty Cream Bar comes boxed, allowing the lovely scent of the Cream Bar to hit your nostrils first before even laying eyes on the bar.
The Beauty Bar is curved and white with smalled carved doves on either side.
The Beauty Bar lathers into a nice smooth creamy mix, a rich lather that feels gentle and silky on my skin.
I use a wash sponge with the Beauty Bar to cleanse my body when I shower, and I lather the Beauty Bar in my hands to wash my face. I rinse thoroughly. I love the feel of my skin after I have rinsed off the creamy lather, it feels smooth with no rough or dry patches of skin.
I think with the Beauty Bar being made up of 1/4 moisturising cream helps the skin stay nourished while cleansing.
I like using the Beauty Bar on my body, the results are great, I feel fresh and clean, my skin is left smooth, no rough or dry patches, it gives my body wash a run for its money.
I still prefer cleansers and exfoliators for my face, they just seem to work a lot better in this area for me.
REGULAR SOAP:
The regular soap packaging is nice and the soap is pretty pink and smells lovely. The lather is very soapy.
Unfortunately I could only use the regular soap on my face and body once, with the same method of washing myself as I did with Dove. I did not like how my skin dried out , my natural skin nourishment was stripped away, there were rough patches of skin on my legs, and my face had rough and dry bits of skin, even after I moisturised. Nooooooooo. One wash with regular soap and my skin was left in a shambles. Needless to say I did not use the regular soap for this purpose again.
My overall results, Dove Beauty Bar gets a 5 star thumbs up for a body wash, not so much for a face wash.
Regular soap should not be used as a face or body wash, strips away skins essential oils.
Dove Beauty Cream Bar can be purchased in Supermarkets and is Made in Germany.

Nicely moisturising
I'm not actually a big fan of using soap. For years now I've used shower gels almost exclusively, so it was an interesting experiment for me to give the Dove Beauty Bar a go.
The reason I'm not fond of soap is that it always feels so drying. Although my skin may be clean after using soap, it always gives me that feeling afterwards of my skin being tight and dry, and makes me feel I need to go crazy with the body lotion to make my skin feel normal again. I don't consider myself to have particularly dry skin, hence I've always steered clear of soap bars.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Dove Beauty Bar though. My skin didn't feel dry at all after using it. In fact, since I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, I haven't felt as though I need to follow up with body moisturisers. It is definitely a much better alternative to ordinary soaps. And you can't beat the price, meaning it's a lot more economical to use the beauty bar over a lot of other soaps!
I should point out though that I did only use the beauty bar on my body and not on my face. I'm afraid that being over the age of, ahem, 35 I'm just not willing to use any kind of soap (moisturing or otherwise) on my face. For that I'll stick to my usual cleansers and moisturisers.
The only criticism I have about this product is the fragrance. It is incredibly strong. Even though the small isn't unpleasant, the strength of it is a little offputting.
I haven't minded using the Dove Beauty Bar at all but I haven't been so impressed that I'll be choosing to use it over my usual shower gels. However, I can see now that it's not a bad alternative.

SENSATIONAL
Regular Trial Team : DOVE BEAUTY CREAM BAR
Thanks again for the opportunity to trial this gorgeous beauty bar. The packaging comes in a small box and is very neat. Even before I opened the package I knew what it was from the divine aroma! The beauty cream bar feels smooth, soft and the smell makes a showering experience very relaxing. I loved it that much as it made my skin soft and moisturised, I decided to chuck in my normal facial cleanser and use the bar. Well... one week into cleansing my face as well - not only was I surprised that the bar cleansed off ALL my makeup (including mascara), it also left my face feeling fab. I didn't feel as though I needed night cream after it, however, I did use it ... 3 weeks into using this bar twice a day and also allowing my daughters to use it.... it's still going! My girls (11 & 9yo respectively) LOVE IT! Congratulations to Dove on such an excellent product at the most sensational price ever!

Gorgeously Scented Beauty Bar With Neutral pH
I loved using this very highly scented Dove Bar. When I used this Dove Beauty Cream Bar my skin wasn't as dry like it gets withuse of my regular soap. So Dove really is very gentle to the acid mantle of the skin. While using this Dove Bar I see the 'milkiness' of the cream ingredient on my skin. It rinses away easily and leaves my skin delicately scented.
I used the Dove for atleast a week and also did my litmus paper test on it which proves the Dove to be pH Neutral and my regular scented body soap to be very alkaline (the litmus paper went very dark blue!). So I can rest assured that my Dove Bar is more gentle than my scented $20 soap! Dove is simply more gentle to my skin and doesn't alter it's pH and is less drying.
I won't be buying that $20 scented soap anymore for my body now I've seen the results of the Dove Bar compared to my normal soap bar!
Clean, fresh and cared-for skin is what I get with the Dove Cream Bar. A lovely body and hand cleanser with a fantastic scent. It's excellent to use when I'm shaving, leaving the skin less dry. The scent doesn't die down with use most other scented soaps.

Moisturising and fragrant
Normally I find soaps quite drying but this was a new experience for me. I found it left my skin feeling so hydrated. The smell is quite strong but it isn't unpleasant. For the price, it is definitely worth it. I will continue to buy these because my skin has never been so soft.

Regular Trial Team
I enjoyed using the Dove Beauty Bar, and the experience was different to other soaps. The soap had a nice (but strong) fragrance, and it didn’t lather much. It rinsed normally. After showering, my skin felt fine (not dry or flaky).
Previously, normally after bathing my skin would feel clean and fresh but not really soft to touch. Although not flaky, the skin would feel a little rough, so I would moisturise after each and every shower. With Dove, my skin felt soft and smooth after the shower, so I only had to moisturise every few days.
I like the product. It has a nice fragrance, rinses well, and doesn’t dissolve too quickly in the shower. It also leaves my skin feeling softer and smoother than before, so I can save time and money by moisturising less than I used to. The only thing I disliked was that the soap didn’t lather much (but I suppose that is because it’s a beauty soap rather than a regular soap).

love the smell!!!
I remember when Dove first launched this super creamy beauty bar...it promised to clean and moisturise like no other soap. I'm blown away by how different my skin felt from the very first use.
Within a few days I really noticed my skin felt more supple, softer - all over. Most surprising is just how long the bar of soap lasts....even though it gives off a lovely rich thick lather it just lasts and lasts!

Not too sure about Dove
I'm a big fan of using soaps so when I reveived my trial of the lovely Dove bar I was excited to trial it as soon as possible. I have since used and finished my Dave bar and am happy to say that if I had doubts when I first received the package they are no longer there.
I love the smell of Dove and this bar is no different to the normal smell. Others products can be very overwhelming in their sent but Dove has a sent that is not overpowering when in the confines of a shower.

Trial Team review
Once again I was glad to be included in the beautyheaven trial team. I have actually tried the Dove Beauty Cream Bar before and didn't like it very much but it was nice to give it another chance. Unfortunately it just reconfirmed my existing opinion of the Dove bar.
Overall I found the Dove Beaty Cream Bar to be ok... but that's all, just ok. I'm probably a tough customer as I am used to using gentle handmade soaps my mother makes lately or unscented soaps. This soap is relatively gentle but it didn't tick enough boxes for me.
The packaging is fine, a cardboard box that is quite easy to open. There is no plastic wrapper inside which is a good thing, just make sure you don't put it down somewhere damp in the bathroom before you start using it.
I have to say that I really don't like the smell of this Dove bar. It is far too strong and soapy for me. It is probably the main reason I won't be using the bar again. I'd possibly try an unscented version in the future but I am not a fan of the Dove perfume.
The bar is a nice curved shape and is quite creamy to the touch. It is quite easy to use and nice to hold due to its rounded shape.
It is a gentle soap and I found that compared to using a normal soap my legs were less dry and itchy (which they are sometimes prone to being). I didn't notice much difference elsewhere. I even tried it on my face but was a bit too drying there and I ended up getting a couple of spots (whether that was due to the soap or not I'm not certain).
As I said above, overall it is an ok product but due to the scent I am probably not going to use it again.

Dove
I don't really use soap very often (I'm more of a body wash kinda girl) but when I do use soap, I choose more expensive types as I find they aren't as drying.
The first thing I noticed about the Dove bar was the smell. It smells like "Dove". All Dove products smell pretty much the same to me and it's not a smell I'm particularly fond of. It isn't unpleasant, it's just not really great either.
The Dove bar is a curved design, which is nicer to use than plain old rectangles. It is noticably creamer and softer than many soaps, yet still lathers up nicely. I have found with some other soft soap bars that they don't last very long, but the Dove bar holds up alright. Because of the creamy feel to it, it seems like it is less drying on my skin, but really, my skin doesn't feel or appear any more or less moisturised than usual.
I think that people who use harsh soaps would definitely notice a difference using this product, but for me it's not really an improvement on the higher end soaps I already use and not even comparable to my shower gels.

Love Dove!
I love this Beauty Bar by Dove. The packaging is simple and easy to open, being a cardboard box. There's no unneccessary plastic packaging.
The aroma is mild and pleasant. Best of all the product feels luxurious to use. I feel really pampered when I'm using Dove Beauty Bar. It's extremely moisturing and lathers realyl well. I love how it makes my skin feel afterwards, really clean and soft. I also really enjoy using Dove's Exfoliating Beauty Bar, but that's not for this review. The curved shape is another positive of this product, because there are no sharp edges to dig into your skin. Really good soap, I'd highly recommend it!

Love the smell
As soon as I received this in the mail to review as part of the trial team I was instantly transported back to high school buy the smell. Back then this beauty bar was one of the most popular products around and it's amazing to think it's still going strong.
It definitely lives up to its promises by leaving the skin feeling silky soft and clean without drying like other soaps can.
I even felt that on some nights after showering that I didn't really need to apply a moisturiser because my skin felt like it was moisturised enough just from using this soap.
For the price you certainly can't complain about any aspect of it. It even feels different to normal soap as it's a much softer bar and lathers up a bit more too.

The Dove Beauty Cream Bar is packaged in a simple box.
The Beauty Bar is presented as a nice curvy shaped white bar that easily fits easily into my hand. It is also embossed with the Dove emblem, which I think looks really good.
I found that the box was highly scented and the beauty bar less scented.
I am presuming that the box had absorbed some of the scent from the beauty bar. The scent is a fresh, clean scent.
The Dove Beauty Cream Bar contains 1/4 moisturising cream to pamper and nourish your skin and also to assist in maintaining your natural moisture levels and leave you with very soft skin.
The ph level of the bar helps to avoid irritation and dryness. It has been dermatologically tested, and is recommended for daily use and suitable for all skin types.
Following the trial instructions, I used a regular soap for a week and then changed to the beauty cream bar.
I love the look of the bar and have been eagerly using it. I have found that it lathers up extremely well. Soft and creamy, and a sheer pleasure to use.
It is very gentle on my skin. I have felt that after each shower, that my skin is clean, soft and certainly not tight and dry which it often is after using regular soap.
It leaves my skin ready to absorb and take in my moisturiser so much better than a regular soap. This, therefore is a bonus for gaining maximum hydration for my skin.
The Dove Beauty Cream Bar is a little luxury we can all afford. I would certainly recommend and purchase it.

A couple of interesting facts (not related to the trial) about The Dove Beauty Cream Bar is that it was originally formulated around the 1950's to treat people that had suffered burns during the war years.

not for my sensitive skin
i received the Dove beauty cream bar as a part of trial team . it actually comes in a cardboard blue and white box. the smell is great fresh and soft. it lathers perfectly but the problem is its so creamy and whats worse than that is from the second use i started to break out on my forehead !! i give it couple more days and my skin just got worse . i stopped using it immediately and i let my daughter give it a try . she thinks its a great soap cause it keeps her skin moisturized and silky. i think if u have sensitive skin then the creamy bar is a NO NO!

Trial Team
I am a big fan of this soap. On arriving in the post I was hit with a wonderful fresh, clean scent. This soap smells like a soap should. It leaves you feeling fresh and alive after using it. The soap is more like a cream than a cake of soap. It glides over my skin, feeling like a liquid cream. It doesn't dry out the skin, just the reverse, it moisturises. It's great for washing your face too, no dry patchs. The shape of the soap is perfect to place in the palm of your hand and doesn't slip out.

Smells Great and Moisturising
have been using soap all along due to my hubby's preference of soap over shower cream. Was pleasantly surprise by the smell , the minute i remove the packaging. It does smell pretty similar with the Dove shampoo and conditioner that I had used before. Upon the first use, I am surprised to feel really moisturized after the shower, not forgetting the sweet smell that was on me. It lathers well but the soap was left 50% after a weeks' usage. Definitely worth buying again.

My new HG soap
I was lucky enough to be asked to review the Dove Beauty Cream Bar as a part of the Trial team, and I love everything about it! It comes in a nice looking sturdy box so the soap doesn't get dented or flake. The shape of the soap makes it incredibly easy to use because it's designed to mould to both the shape of your hand and the countours of your body - all soaps should be made this way! After a week and a half the soap is still retaining its great ergonomic shape so the design is just incredible and you'll never drop the soap in the shower again. But most importantly, this soap does exactly what it says it does - it moisturises as well as cleans. I have dry skin on my body (probably because I have scorching hot showers and I don't moisturise very often) that is also quite sensitive. After using this product for just 2 days, the dry, irritated patches on my arms started to disappear. By the end of the week, I had no dry patches at all and my skin was baby soft and smooth. This product didn't irritate my skin at all, and has a light, fresh scent that's not overpowering. Dove also makes a 'gentle' version of this soap for sensitive skin, but the original version works just fine on my sensitive, dry skin. It's also good value for money - I have spent much more on so-called moisturising soaps that haven't worked half as well as Dove. I'm not one to really rave about beauty products, but I will use this soap forever and hope that Dove never discontinues it.

Soft and Smooth
I was very happy to be able to review Dove Cream Bar, as I am a huge fan of this soap. I have used it for quite some time so does the rest of my family. I love the way the soap foams up and gives a beautiful lather which is so soft and smooth, with a beautiful fragrance.

Opening the envelope a wonderful fragance escaped. It smells of fresh clean sheets, exactly what a soap should smell like. After using my regular soap for a week, I changed to the Dove Beauty Cream Bar. I notcied changes to my skin right away. It felt more like a cream than a soap. Soft on my skin and no drying after effect. It left a wonderful aroma after getting out of the shower. I felt and smelt fresh and clean. I love that it comes in a box, no fiddly plastic wrapping, easy to open and it is better on the environment.
It doen't lather up like other soaps, rather glides over your skin.

so much more than i imagined
I remember my mum using dove and loving it:and now i know why. I have been using another brand of soap and it fails in comparision to dove. The packageing is ok one thing is there is no way i could read what was written even with my glasses. The one thing i would say its easy to open and i love the shape of the soap and the instant smell when you do open it. I love the light yet lingering scent that lasts.

I absolutely love Dove soap, i find it smells beautiful and milky and clean and fresh - it feels so lathery on, and it cleans the skin so well without the stripping feeling - it leaves the skin soft, smooth, moisturised and velvety feeling - i find alot of soaps leave your skin itchy and begs for moisturiser later but not with Dove .... the shape of the soap is very clever as it has an arch so when placed on the soap dish - it doesn't go gooey and also i find it dries quick so it doesn't puddle and go mooshy.....it is so soft i used it on my little girls skin and she was left with soft baby baby skin .. i use it every morning and night ....the only issue i do have is it does go quite fast but that is the only issue otherwise i am sold forever - it is an ongoing purchase for me and my family :-)

The Real Deal
Dove definitely lives up to its name, my skin felt moisturiser without leaving it taut. You can feel the difference of the product so creamy not wishy washy.
Packaging was simple, the product is easy to use and had that trademark smell of dove which is lovely for most people soft and subtle.
The downside of the product is I prefer the liquid form I am not a big fan of block soap and thats just a personal thing.

I have been using the sensitive bar for me & my daughters as we have extremely sensitive skin. It is fabulous as we have eczema & it doesn't irritate our skin. That is a main shower soap

Trial Team Dove Beauty Cream Bar
Firstly before trialling this soap for BH I went back to using a normal soap for at least a week or so.
The packing is great in a simple cardboard box, it is easy to open and I like that you can smell the soap from the outside packaging which I think is great for when you are buying something.
The soap is white in colour, weighs 100g and is a lovely curved shape with a dove imprint on the top. The curved shape adds to the pleasure of using this soap as it is easy to hold and the curve fits nicely against your body whilst washing.
I used the soap for just over a week whilst showering twice a day. My skin feels 100% better then it did prior to commencing this trial. The bumps on the tops of my arms are dissapearing and the dryness on my elbows is getting much better. My legs dont seem to be as scaly looking either.
I love the smell of the soap, it is sort of a powdery scent that I find lovely and not overpowering.
Actually whilst waiting to commence using the soap just where it was sitting made the whole room smell lovely.
I defintely feel that this soap is a must for anyone who suffers from dry skin. My skin certainly felt softer and more moisturised using this soap then it did when using a normal soap.
It definitely helped my skin feel more moisturised which is great due to my laziness of applying body moisturiser on a regular basis.
I would definitely say this is a great staple to have in the shower and I feel that over more time my skin will feel even better with continued use of this soap.

a classic
Doesn't set off my nasal allergies like regular soap and works so well! Does a great cleansing job but is gentle of the skin and non drying, which is a miracle for my skin as everything else seems to dry it. Also very affordable so what else could you want?

Lovely Dovely
So I received this beauty bar as part of the trial team, and for the first week I just used normal soap, which nearly ruined my skin, except for the fact that I would lather on moisturiser straight after my shower. For the second week I used the Dove beauty bar and fell in love with it.
It comes in a cute little box all on its own and is wrapped in plastic like your normal soap would be. However this is far from your normal soap. I could even smell the sweet aroma of the soap before I took it out of its packet. The first morning I used it I was very impressed, it doesnt strip your skin like normal soap, or leave it with a sticky residue like normal soap. It does actually moisturise your skin and you can feel it working as you lather up. I found that after I had showered I didnt need to lather on moisturiser like normal because my skin wasnt dry and itchy. My skin actually felt soft and smooth like I had already used a moisturiser.

best soap bar ever!
i love this as my go to soap bar. i usually use a feminine wash a soap bar and a body wash everyday.. i use femfresh for my (u know what) the dove beauty cream bar for underarms and suface body and then i use a fragrance body wash to leave myself smelling good.. although i still have used the beauty bar on its own before :)

The most luxurious of cream bar
I had always been a big fan of Dove's soap bar. This time the opportunity was given from the BH trial team to trial this wonderful soap. I must said this is not the ordinary soap bar. First of all, I love the smell of the cream bar, lather to rich foam, but non-drying on skin. Leave light fragrance after bath. It's a luxury to use. The price it's a bit expensive, if the bar comes in a lot more bigger woud be good. I would use them if only they are on sale.

Practical and economical.
i find this bar to be both practical and cheap. Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, yet leaves it feeling perfectly clean and soft. I always use this in the a.m. and Cetaphil in the p.m.
The only downside to it is that it turns into gunge, but now I store it in the hot water cupboard first, and it dries all the excess moisture out of it, so its sort of concentrated. I do this for at least a month before I need it, so store one when I take one out of storage.

Perfect for ladies!
This is such a fantastic cleansing car for the body, it's amazing! Comes in a couple of scents now, but the original formula is there. Is cleanses without overdrying, doesn't make me itchy or rashy, and it's really well priced! I always go back to this soap again and again!

Love This Soap!!
I have been using this soap on and off for years and years!!! Everytime I see it on sale I always grab some. The smell is lovely and soft. It leaves my skin feeling clean, moisturised and smelling divine. Definitly a favourite in my house!!! Have actually found it better then some body washes (when they say washes are better for your skin then soap).

Good Product
I received a sample size from the Dove tent at the Australian Open. When I used it on my face it lathered into a creamy foam and left my skin smooth after rinsing it off with out drying it out too much. Minus one star because my face and hands smelt a bit soapy.

The worst thing I have ever done to my skin - apart from chlorine
I became obsessed with this soap and used it day and night for 6 months. Even when my skin started to react badly, I thought it may have been another product I was using.
This is a beauty bar. I recommend anyone using it remember that this is not intended to be used as an alternate to soap.

best soap
This is the soap i have been brought up with. my mum has extremely dry skin and this is all she can use. I find it leaves my skin so soft and silky, compared to when i use any other soap. It smells lovely aswell.

Simple Clean
Lathers well, is moisturising and cleans my skin without any residue.
It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. The only draw back is that it is super slippery in the shower and can be hard to grab if you loose it.

Only soap I like
This is the only soap I like and use. Others dry out my skin too much and cause irritation.This does not happen with Dove. I mainly use this for washing my hands but I really like it. Lasts for ages and is very affordable. There is always one in our house.

I would never use soap but love Dove Beauty Bar, even as a facial cleanser, better than most more expensive cleansers I have tried.

Best Soap Bar None
I used this when I ran out of my usual cleanser. I don't usually like using soap on my face as it is quite drying but this one wasn't too bad. You can feel the moisturiser working. I used it on my face for a few days before I bought my usual moisturiser and then used it in the shower as a body soap and it was really nice to use - it cleaned well and my skin felt subtly hydrated.

Soo hydrating!!
For so long i didn't use bar soap because it always dried out my skin. I saw these beauties on sale one day and thought i'd try it because Dove is known for their '1/4 moisture'. This product lives up to this becasue my skin was smooth and supple, with no drying at all!! Although if you're looking for a super hydrating soap i'd try Lush, otherwise this is a great bargain!

Love Love Love it!
Dove Beauty Cream Bar has been with me my entire ife. I've used it ever since i was a baby and i swear by it. Dove Beauty Cream Bar is really good for keeping your skin moisutirsed and young. It isn't like the other soaps that leave your skin dry.

The Best
I have fussy skin. On my legs it is constantly scaly and dry whereas on my chest it gets kinda oily after a while. All the other soaps left my skin feeling squeaky clean and tight, which I really didn't like. Loved the Dove Beauty Bar though. The smell is okay, not spectacular but still good. Foams up nicely and leaves skin really soft and smooth and moisturised after a shower. Use it with a loofah, the results are heavenly.

I've used this since I was little and it's greeaat! When I use other soaps I notice the difference as they leave my skin feeling a ltitle dry, where as the dove beauty bar doesn't. And it smells nice too, which is always good.

Beauty Bar
I find Dove Cream Soap is excellent for winter on my skin. Having the moisturising factor helps with bitter cold days, in which my skin is prone to drying. The use of heaters, fireplaces in use and wind can dry out skin. Dove Cream Soap is brilliant for restoring hydration. I shouldn't call it a soap but I do use it for washing my body as well. I don't use it in summer as I need something that doesn't have so much of the moisturising factor.

Very affordable
I used to buy these bars as a teen and used them on my face for cleansing. They didn't dry your face out like other soaps and they made my skin glow and feel so smooth.

Family favourite
Have have used Dove soap for as long as I can remember! It is just a must have for me. Not strongly scented, cleans the skin without drying and lasts for ever. Lovely rich lather great for in the shower or to clean hands.

Very good for the shower.
This product has never disappointed me for years. Also a family favorite as well, and have never purchased any other soap other than this. Not too pricey as well.
The smell isn't strong and leaves my skin soft and smooth, and have been using it everyday.

soft and clean
I'm not really picky about what soaps I use, but this stuff is pretty great. It cleans alright and moisturises very well, love the classic scent as well. I use it with a body scrub for a deeper clean, but works well overall.

I have very dry sensitive skin ,most soaps always seem to leave me a little dry and itchy but with dove my skin is so soft and nourished and i love the smell just right not to over powering great price.

The best
it's so good I wish i could of had a chance to rate it over 5 stars because it was good to shave with, left my legs feeling so soft afterwards. It also gave it a nice silky shine to my skin in the sun. Helped me with the dry skin situation in summer.

Dove is always a winner!
I love this soap. A beautiful scent, and is soft and creamy. It leaves your skin smooth and moist (no drying out like other soaps). It is gentle and soothing. I have psoriasis and it is great for my sensitive, irritated skin. I have used this for years and you cannot go wrong!

Yay! A moisturising soap at last.
Moisturises and foams up really well. Pleasant smell. Great when you use it with a loofah. Although I was left with red blotches on my legs, that may have been the hot shower water. Calmed them down with Goat's Milk Cream.

Leaves skin feeling lovely, but doesn't clean too well
I love the way this bar leaves my skin feeling, most of the time I don't even have to use a moisturizer after my shower! It's really nourishing and foams up nicely. I find it's also great to use in place of a shaving cream. But one thing that is a downer for me is that it doesn't seem to clean 100%. I need to scrub a fair amount to get any excess dirt off me and If it's the Summer I can usually find myself getting a bit smelly by midday the next day (I shower at night).

Always in my shopping trolley
This is one soap I always make sure I have plenty of.
I have really sensitive skin on my legs that is very prone to shaving rash. Using this soap has improved my skin so much whilst shaving and cleaning. It's amazing.
It's so creamy and gives a nice lather without drying out my skin or leaving that horrible scaley feeling that I get with some soaps.

My FAVOURITE supermarket soap
I love how creamy and moisturising this soap is, and the scent is very pleasant. It lathers well and is not harsh at all on the skin. The only negative is that it tends to disappear quickly, but that's not a big problem because it is very affordable.

My favorite...
I have been using the Dove Beauty Cream Bar for a long time. I love the fresh smell and how gentle this Dove soap is on my skin compared to all the other bar soaps I tried. It is very gentle and imparts good moisture, and skin feels sooooooo soft after use. I will always use Dove.

There's nothing bad I can say about this. It's the only soap that doesn't leave me dry and itchy. It's creamy, lathers well and the scent is mild and pleasant. It's pretty cheap too and lasts me ages.

The only soap for the shower/bath.
I have tried most soaps on the market over the last 20 years or so and this is the only soap I use now. It is soft and creamy and doesn't leave my face feeling tight and dry. It has a lovely frangrance and the pink bar is an added decoration to my shower. An added bonus is being able to donate to a worthy cause when buying the pink bar.

All time favorite
This is one of my favorite products of all time! It is a must for any beauty routine.
This is the only soap I will use now as it does not dry out and irriate my skin. It is also so nice and lathers well so you can use it for shaving your legs as well.

Not for me
I'm probably the only person in the country who will say this, but my skin burns when I use this product and any similar soap in the Dove line. Other bar soaps don't cause this reaction and we grew up using them, but ever since I was a kid I have not been able to use the beauty bar due to the burning sensation and lingering tightness after use. I must have a sensitivity to their unique moisturisers or lathering agents.
This is a shame because I love how it lathers and that it lasts forever and doesn't shrink like so many other soaps do when sitting in moist environments and drying out over time. It stays in tact and doesn't make a mess of the shower stall and the price is not bad at all for the quantity and availability of the product.

dont completely understand the hype
I use this product on my body when i dont feel like using shower gel. It lathers well (i use it in place of shaving cream/gel) and has a very subtle but pleasant smell. However, I dont feel as clean as when I use a shower gel and although it claims to be moisturising, I feel it dries out my skin a tad bit and I do need to use body lotion (I use a lovely dove body lotion). Its quite inexpensive so cant complain too much....

I love this product!
I am semi allergic to regular soap and cannot use it without getting really dry, sore and itchy hands so my mum gave me this to try and it was amazing! The soap-free formula hydrates your skin and cleanses at the same time. It is also really good as a replacement cleanser, if you run out of cleanser and don't have time to go to the shops this is an amazing substitute, especially if you have oily skin, but my mum has dry skin and she uses it on her face and it works almost as well. This product leaves your skin feeling really clean and soft. I love it!

Great soap for use on the body!
This is a lovely scented soap with a really soft, "non-soapy" feel. I loved it for use on my body but found it a bit drying for my face. If your skin is a little on the mature or dry side, it is probably best kept for use as a normal soap for body washing. It washes off well and leaves a nice, sublte fragrance on the skin.

Why use soap?
Why would you use soap when you can use a Dove Beauty Bar? The normal everyday soap bars you buy at the supermarket may get you clean but they strip your skin of it's natural moisture. The Dove Beauty Cream Bar cleans you skin while it moisturises.

Cheap and affordable, smells lovely!
Thanks to BH for letting me trial this! I have used this soap bar before and I will always continue to use this in the future! When taking this soap bar out of the box you can instantly smell the amazing smell it comes with and the soap bar even feels so smooth against your skin when dry. It has a little dove printed on top of the bar and is shaped to make gripping it easy in the slippery shower! The soap lathers very very well and it left my skin so soft and smooth and smelling absolutely wonderful! The smell lingers for ages and ages and I felt like I was in a baby's room because I love the smell of baby powder and everything else. This bar is super super moisturising and it is very gentle. It's also really affordable so it's definitely a must have in everyone's bathroom!

Beautiful Staple
The beauty bar comes in a no fuss mini cardboard carton which is perfect packaging for a soap and makes it easy to store if you buy a few. The beauty bar has a subtle and beautiful smell that makes me think of 'the olden days' it is pretty and fresh. The product feels just like any regular soap however I have noticed my skin especially on my legs does not feel as irritated as if I use regular soap.

A great alternative for soap lovers
If you are looking for an alternative to soap but are a soap lover (like my hubby!) then this is an excellent substitute. The bar is very pretty with its dove symbol embossed into it, and the unique shape of it fits nicely into the palm of your hand. The scent is lovely; quite strong but leaves you smelling very clean and fresh. I feel that this soap isn’t as drying as normal soap however is still essentially a soap and may not be as moisturising as some body washes are. It is a little pricier than your usual soap but the added moisturising cream justifies the extra cost I think. It lathers up really well and feels very creamy on the skin. My husband insists on washing his face with soap so at least if he is using this one it has the benefit of a moisturiser and won’t be as harsh on his skin. My mum has been religiously using this for years and even though she is 83 her skin is still beautifully soft. Whilst I wouldn’t use this on my face, I do think it is a lovely product and one that I do purchase often.

Lovely Dovely
I love the smell of this soap, it lathers beautifully and is lovely and creamy without drying out your skin., however I prefer the sensitive skin version only because I like to use it to wash my face on the days my normal beauty routine goes out the window because I am simply just too tired to cleanse tone exfoliate etc... and the perfumed version stings if it gets in your eyes. For a lot of families on a budget it might be too expensive but I think it's definitely worth it. I love Dove... it's a staple in our home... and I too also like that it comes in a cardboard recyclable box... nice to see! As far as soaps go this is a winner for me, it's just lovely Dovely!

Dove soap is the only soap that I use now. It is a good size and because of the shape it fits easily into your hand. It feels very rich with moisturizer when you rather it up and leaves your skin feeling fresh and very soft. An excellent product that has lasted over time.

Leaves You With Soft Skin
Dove's Beauty Bar has been around for so long that even i used it when i was a kid. Whilst the long history, Dove continues to produce a fabulous bar of soap.
I never really liked soap because it was usually quite harsh and drying on my skin but Dove's soap is beyond gentle. It comes in a cardboard box and the soap itself is big enough to last you for several months. Once applied, it has a fluid like milky texture which soaks right into your skin while stripping away dirt. The smell itself is quite strong but it clings onto your skin, so you smell fresh and clean for longer.
Overall, i am glad that Dove continues to produce these soaps. Not only are they affordable and accessible, they leave your skin feel soft and clean, this is the one soap that won't strip away your natural oils.

Dove-like shape which fully moisturises!
This Dove beauty cream bar is shaped almost like a dove itself that it's oval and curved so that it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand for ease of use. The bar of soap moisturised my skin quite well without any irritation whatsoever, so I'm quite impressed with this product. It smells clean and makes my skin feel refreshed and squeeky clean too! This Dove soap lasts longer than the usual soap bars I have used in the past and that's a great quality for soaps as it's of high quality and great value for money. I would definitely reccomend this product and will continue to use this.

Soft hands
This is a lovely soap that is very moisturizing. It has a wonderful scent which I love. Being a soap I find it less convenient to store after use as it goes soft if left sitting in even a bit of water on your soap holder. A separate soap holder would be best.

Dove heavenly
I have been using this soap every time I have a shower. I found it creamy and a lovely scent. It hasn't been drying to my skin either like most other soaps. I also noticed it doesn't melt/ooze/squish away as fast as other soaps, instead it stays solid and therefore lasts longer.
A big thing I noticed is that now my bathroom smells really nice every time I walk into it, because of the soap scent.

Love Dove
The dove beauty bar is the beauty product that has been in my beauty regime for the longest time, I always, always have one in my bathroom and one in the shower. I have been using it for almost 17 years and can easily say I will be using it for another 17 without fail! I use it in place of soap for the body and I also use it on my face as a cleansing bar. I cannot express enough how highly I trust and respect this product…. And can you blame me? What a price point for a product that has a multitude of uses. The ¼ moisturizing cream ensures that skin is left feeling soft and supple and never dry and harsh like ordinary soaps do.

Clean and fresh
This is my favourite cleanser and Ialways keep a bar in the shower and use it morning and night whether I have make-up on or not. I have been using this cream bar since it hit our supermarket shelves.
Quite simply I love this product because it doesn't dry my skin out, my skin feels clean and fresh, fragrance isn't overpowering and it is so affordable.
It lathers easily to a very creamy, sudsy texture. It completely takes off any make-up or dirt on my face. This is the only cleanser I use because it is so gentle on my skin.
I also use the Dove Cream bar on my legs when shaving.
They also have a size in a travelling bar which is so cute and great for short trips away.

This beauty bar is amazing, it cleans and it doesnt irritate my sensitive skin or break me out anywhere.
The bar lasts quite a long time, nice light fragrance and is actually moisturising - I noticed it when I used soap at my boyfriends place and my skin hated it because it was stripped dry.
I love this product and it will be the only "soap" or beauty bar that I will repurchase - everyone thinks I have soft skin and I have been told so many times - It's thanks to this little gem!

Trial Team - Good Family Soap
The packaging and information is quite hard to read, very small type, no instructions and too many languages. It is not an australian product, it's made in Germany. Coming in a cardboard box is good for the environment as it will break down, unlike other soaps in plastic wrapping. Not good though if you get the box wet before you use it.

For woman and children with dry, sensitive skin, this is a hard product to beat at the price.
This is a high quality bar of soap that goes on like a cream and yet still lathers. It's thick, and very smooth, and doesn't have the same drying effect that soap does on my body. I wouldn't use it on the face (and did actually try it a few times) as it still is too harsh for my sensitive facial skin. I put it in the shower, and found that my husband (a loyal Pears user) didn't like it - he said it was way too creamy and didn't make him feel clean (that's men for you). I do think that this is probably not a good product in the main for men, as it's a little bit sweet scented - kind of babypowdery clean with a floral hint, and the soft creamy quality is one that men may find too cream and slippery for hairy skin.

Not your average bar of soap
This soap was quite lovely to use, not much different to your everyday soap. I loved the size and especially the shape of the bar, it has a very strong aroma that isn't to overpowering. Unlike other soaps I have used before this one left my skin amazingly moist, soft and smooth. If your looking for a change from your everyday boring soap and looking for moisture in your life I highly suggest you give this a try :)

Moisturising Soap
I tend to agree with the previous reviewer, this is still a soap; albeit a moisturising one! Having not used this for a few years I'm surpised at how strong the 'soapy' fragrance is, even when its still in the box! The soap itself looks as good as it always has(I love the dove carved into it) and I Iike the crisp colours and designs used on the box. The product easily lathers up into creamy suds, feels nice against the skin and is quite moisturising. However, I do have to admit while trialling this product I've really missed my bodywashes with essential oil fragrances!
From memory the unscented Beauty Cream Bar is my preference in this range because I find the fragrance of the original Dove Beauty Cream Bar overpowering.
Despite my reservations with the original Beauty Cream Bar I will buy the unscented product to take travelling as it really is a great little moisturising soap!

multi purpose
This soap is pretty damn good, i even have used it on my face when i went traveling last. It doesn't dry your skin out like other soaps and feels smooth and creamy. I don't think i even needed to moisturise after using it.

Super creamy
Excellent soap. I'd buy this one all the time if it was a little bit cheaper. I just find it too pricey these days. It's super creamy and really moisturizes my skin not leaving it dry like most other soaps. The soap runs out fairly quickly compared to normal soaps so I end up using it twice as fast.

Luxurious and creamy
I love this soap because I have sensitive skin and it cleared up the dryness within three uses. It lathers up to be a luxurious and creamy foam. The bar lasts for such a long time, and you can use it every day because it doesn't feel at all harsh on the skin. It smells pleasant but not too overpowering. I'm definately going to buy this soap again, and again, because it really works!

Gentle and moistuerising
Dove's beauty cream bar is very gentle on the skin and having 1/4 moisturising cream, I find it leaves my skin less dry or tight. It's creamy and the scent is quite pleasant and delicate, however it doesn't lather as well as other soaps. For those who have always used normal soaps, this may take a little getting used to as I find it doesn't leave a very "clean" feeling.

This is definitely one of the best beauty buys around...it leaves my skin smelling fresh, moisturised and gently cleansed. It's suitable for use as a body soap and facial cleanser although as my skin is a bit sensitive I prefer using a seperate facial wash. Just terrific and great for all the family.

Essential!
I adore Dove products and this just adds to my most loved list. Compared to all the other soaps I've used this one moisturises my skin SO WELL and smells absolutely lovely. The price is very very reasonable and feels so creamy against my skin. I love this soap bar so much!

this is the soap that took over the market of my favourite soap Cleopatra, i use dove only because it is the closest to cleopatra, so i love this soap, but i hate it because its not my soap

Like it
I tend to use this soap bar more than the shower gels/lotions etc.. It smells really nice but not too strong, it cleans very well and it doesn't dry out the skin too much like other soaps do. Even still, I don't use it on my face, just on the rest of the body. I like it how it lasts very long and not like those other soaps that just melt away in the shower... It's easier to take with me when I travel than take those bulky body washes or pour them in to travel bottles that always end up leaking somehow..

Gently clean not squeeky!
I use Dove Beauty Cream Bar regularly as it is pleasant to use, smells great and leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh and not stripped and itchy. It is a perfect face cleanser and it rinses off easily, also it is a great bath soap and leaves my whole body soft and nourished. I reccomend it.

moisturise!!!
Who doesn't love the PINK dove range??? The soaps are fantastic, smell good & most importantly don't leav the skin dry. i rarely have to moisturise after a shower if I use these products.

I used to hate soap until......
I have dry skin. I live in a tropical, humid country. Most soaps dry my skin out until I look like a rhinoceros. Liquid 'moisturizing' soap makes me feel all sticky and icky within 5 seconds of stepping out from the shower. In this soap I have found the balance. It is moisturizing yet does not leave a 'sticky moist' feeling on my skin once I pat down with the towel.

Very good product!
I decided to try this when I had a bout of flaky skin after a breakout, as I wanted something simple and mild. I was already quite familiar with Dove and used their face moisturiser and body silk cream.
The beauty bar is really effective and kept my face moisturised and soft the entire day. I love it! The scent is also like refreshing and mild, which is good for people with sensitive skin.
However, I am taking one star off, because it's... well, a bar, which may not be very hygienic, unless you wash your hands thoroughly before use and store it in a plastic soap container.

Beauty bar
I prefer the body wash myself, but I have to say that my significant other absolutely loves this soap alternative. Its not common for a man to care so much about the kind of soap he uses, so this definitely gets a thumbs up for me :)

was more than impressed
i bet im not the only woman who watches tv? am i, no i didnt think so. as i watch tv i saw the dove beauty bar add. i gasped 'oh ive gotta try that' and my sister just rolled her eyes. i have tried so many products claiming they are the miricle product and in the end well lets just say no they werent.
anyway back to the reveiw, i bought the dove beauty bar and to be honest i was more than pleased with it i took the seven day challenge and my skin is unbelivibly soft. and it doesnt just stay soft for an hour its all day every day. its like you have the softness of a baby again. and its not greasy at all! i would recomend trying it you honestly wont be dissapointed.

Family favourite
We've used this soap for years as some family members have dry skin. It is such a good soap that is gentle and barely has a fragrance. Just love it.

Love this soap
It has a great smell, isnt as drying as normal soap and if I run out of face wash then I can use this on my face.. not as good as Doves body wash but its not as expensive either :)

The Best
The cheapest and greatest cleanser! i have tried many expensive cleansers but i always come back to this- my mum has used this forever and it has done wonders for her skin! I love this product.

Great Soap Alternative
With incredibly sensitive skin, this stuff is the best. It feels like soap and smells like soap, unlike some other soap alternatives, without drying out or reacting with my skin.

Only soap I would use on my face
I'm not a big fan of soaps - I hate how they get those cracks it just doesn't look very hygienic. I used Dove beauty cream bar when i was in high school and had problems with breakouts, my GP actually recommended I try it. It is definitely not drying, although it isnt that hydrating if you compare it to actual cream cleansers. Its gentle enough on the skin but stings when it gets in the eyes. The price is great because it lasts forever, but I didn't keep for long because it started getting those cracks.

i dont often use soap over my entire body because i dont find it necessary(or particually good for my skin), but when i do this is one of the few soaps or in this case 'cream bar' i'll use because it doesnt irritate my skin as much.

nice results
I found my face to be less prone to dryness when i used this it also helped remove make up well, i did have a few break outs when i used the product but it did settle down, it forms a nice creamy lather too

Sensitive skin
I dislike this soap as I find it dries my skin out to much and makes it itchy. I have tried all the dove soap varieties and I find I react the same to all of them.

The only soap for me
Ive been using Dove soap for a few years now because it doesnt irritate my skin like other soaps. It leaves my skin soft too.

Very good
The beauty cream bar lathers up a lot to a soft, creamy foam, so it's great to smooth over your body, feeling very relaxing and luxurious, whilst also cleaning, but without feeling harsh or drying. The result is soft, smooth, clean skin. It is also not heavily scented, which is quite good for sensitive skin.
My grandmother always had rather dry sensitive skin, so she found this product very good for her and now swears by it. She even uses it for her face and her skin is smooth and soft.
It's quite cheap as well, so definitely recommended.

It's love
I've never used anything else as im so happy with this shower soap. It doesn't dry your skin out and the smell is so fresh.
