When you’re feeling stressed out or down in the dumps, there’s nothing better than a pampering spa treatment to help you really rejuvenate and put the pep back in your step. Having finally kicked one of those looong, lingering winter colds, I felt like my skin was in desperate need of some TLC, and so I headed off to Terrigal’s Tea Tree Spa and indulged in a bit of ‘me’ time – with the help of a an eminence organic body scrub, wrap, and Vichy shower (I know, pure bliss, right?).

I’d never experienced a spa treatment with organic products, so I was interested to see how they’d hold up in terms of smell, feel and efficacy (while I was relaxing for the most part, I couldn’t help still have my Beauty Ed’s hat on!).

After discussing my concerns with my therapist (dull, dry skin that was in desperate need of a good exfoliation and a moisture boost), the eminence organic Pear & Green Apple Sugar Scrub was massaged all over my body. The sugar granules were pretty gritty, so I really felt like I was getting a proper exfoliation, and the smell – oh my goodness, it was ah-mazing! I felt like I’d just landed in freshly baked apple and pear tart – you know, the real homemade one your Nanna would bake, nothing at all like a synthetic fruity scent. It was lucky I’d just had breakfast, otherwise I swear I would have been tempted to eat it off my skin!

Since I’d been battling a cold for a while, I’d chosen to have the eminence organic Eight Greens Phyto Masque applied as my body wrap, as it contained paprika and other active ingredients to stimulate my circulation and help detoxify my system. My therapist warned me that I might feel a somewhat tingly, hot feeling on my skin, but all I felt was a gentle warming throughout which was extremely pleasant. While the wrap went to work on my body, I was treated to a double cleanse and gentle face massage with the eminence organic Coconut Milk Cleanser (yet another product that I wanted to lick straight off my skin).

My wrap was then removed with a Vichy shower (the ultimate indulgence –if you haven’t had a treatment that includes this element, I’d highly recommend it), and I dried off before heading to another room for a warm massage using eminence organic Honeydew Body Lotion. To say that I felt pampered, would be putting things lightly – I honestly felt like I was on cloud nine. My skin was not only ultra soft and smooth, but I felt completely revitalized yet blissed-out at the same time. The perfect way to say goodbye to winter and hello to spring!
