Double Duty

Dove Men Care Active Clean Dual Sided shower tool is a smart 2 in 1. The shower tool has a mesh side that lathers body wash easily. I just wet the mesh side under the shower and add bodywash to it each use, it foams and lathers well. The other side is designed as a scrub that gives a deep clean, scrubbing skin gently. After use I rinse it clean, squeeze it out and hang it to dry using its hanging cord. I prefer the mesh side to this tool for applying bodywash and like that it leaves me feeling guaranteed clean. I would use this again.

Give it a go!

I've never used a product like this one before, I always saw these things as too girly but Dove have done a decent job of making this one look like a product intended for men.
I had to try the dove body wash for the 'Dove Head to Toe Challenge' so I figured I might as well give this thing a go too.
When I did try it I found that it worked pretty well, certainly made it easy to build up a lather with the body wash and the rubber grippy bit made it far more comfortable to hold and grip in the shower. One thing I could not work out however is what to do with the more abrasive scrubber side. The package recommends that it's for elbows and knees but I just don't feel like I need to scrub my elbows and knees that much. Could be useful for feet.

So given that I couldn't figure out the scrubber I'm basically reviewing a manly looking shower puff with a rubber grip and for that purpose I'd give it a definite thumbs up!

Takes a bit of getting used to

This is a really good cocept of two in one.
It did take a while to get used to, I've always been a slap-it-on-and-go type of person when it comes to body wash. The tool allowed the body wash to lather up really nicely and scrubbed of all the sweat and mud after a day of playing footy quite easily, yet it was not abrasive. The result - less time in the shower, more time watching the game on tv - that can never be a bad thing right? It was the perfect size for my hands and the triangle shape gave easy grip. I will continue to use this product after the trial.

Must have for a good scrub

This is quite an innovative product, keeping with the dark grey theme, this is a plastic two sided tool, with one side being a shower puff, and the other being an exfoliating surface. I used this with the Men+Care body wash, which has exfoliating beads, and lathers up well on both of these surfaces. I used the puff side on most of my body and it retained the lather well, and the scrubbing side was great for dry skin on my elbows, knees and feet. It rinsed easily, and dried quickly hanging from the taps by its rope in the shower. Definitely a must have in the shower.

This product is so mannish

This product is so mannish and can say this is made for man only. I suits man skin and give you two different textures for cleaning you skin. It fit a man grip and perfect designed to suit a man needs. I feel like to take it everywhere I go, even on a trip. Incredible thing designed for a man. Perfect cleaning and compliment to Dove Men + Care Deep Clean Body wash.

As l work on a chicken farm and get coated with chicken dust l find my face and shoulder area hard to get clean but now that l have got to use the Dove Men+Care Clean Dual Sided Shower Tool l'm in heaven, not only does it clean away the dirt but really cleans my pores and since using this l have had cleaner looking skin and less sores.

A New Experience...

I’m a 66 year old male and am never too pre-occupied with my appearance. I make sure I look presentable but that’s about it. I’ve never come across a nifty shower tool like this, so it was a very new experience. I’ve used it every single day since receiving it and I have to say I’m a convert. It’s an easy shower tool to hold and to use, it doesn’t get slippery or anything. I put some of my Dove Men+Care Deep Clean Body & Face Wash onto the shower tool and then used it to exfoliate my skin. It’s the first time my skin has felt so noticeably soft. I’m very impressed with this and will happily keep on using it.

Hated It!

I usually use a shower puff with body wash so I thought this would be okay. However, I couldn’t bring myself to enjoy it and have now stopped using it. I don’t know what the designers were thinking. It’s clunky and awkward to hold. The soft side looks like a shower puff has been squished together really tightly and doesn’t lather well at all. I use so much more body wash trying to use this thing because I can’t get a good lather going. The other problem with the squished up shower puff side is that it’s way too rough. It defeats the purpose of having an exfoliating tool on the other side because the “soft” side is so rough, the last thing I was to do is scratch my skin any more.

When I did use the rough exfoliating side, it felt like I was rubbing velcro across my skin. I didn’t know what I was meant to do with it either. Am I meant to put shower gel on it and then exfoliate? Pointless. I’ll stick to a regular shower puff that works better and is half the price.

Good concept but needs to be re-designed for it to be useful.

Scrubbed up well!

This is the first time I have used a product anything like this. It interacted well with the Dove shower gel I also trialled, lathering up nicely. The mesh side is great for general washing, and the loofah for areas that require more heavy duty scrubbing, such as the feet. It was easy to use and a good size for a man's hand. I will continue to use it.
