Reviews for In-Shower Hair Removal Cream for Normal Skin by Veet

I tried this after previously using their supreme essence range and finding a good success rate. This caught my attention due to the size of the bottle and the ability to multi-task.
However, after 4 attempts, this failed! The foam sponge that is supposed to remove the hair barely worked and I spent ages picking the dead hair off my legs in all the places that the sponge didn't achieve.
There is also no point to the in-shower bit as you can't even get the cream slightly wet.
The bottle is also worthless as I broke my nail trying to get the top off so that the large amount of cream that was left could come out! the opening is terribly placed and the bottle is so badly designed that half of the product settles in corners and is wasted.
I would say that this is a big fail and would highly recommend not purchasing this product - go for the veet supreme essence or any in a small bottle with the spatula!

Veet didn't work
I put it on as per instructions but it didn't work not even a little bit , it was just like putting normal moisturiser on it didn't do anything to my hairy legs !

Highly DON'T recommend
I hated this product, not only because it smelt horrific, but it burnt my skin within about 2 minutes of use. Instantly wiping it away, my skin was left rashy, sore and burnt.
I tried the product again thinking I had used it wrong or my skin wasn't used to the product.
It burnt my skin again, not only on my legs but my arms where I had originally done a test. It didn't even remove any hair and left my legs rashy and in pain for days
If you have sensitive skin and thick hair, do not use it. RESPONSE FROM VEET: Hi hollie_kay, we’re sorry to hear that you haven’t had the best experience using the Veet In Shower Hair Removal Cream! Let's just say, I'm Italian and Jewish..
I unfortunately inherited the hair genes from my family. And unfortunately, I am not blonde. I'm a gigantic sook and won't wax because of the pain so I used the in-shower cream for sensitive skin last night and my arms feel as soft as if I had waxed them. Like everyone has said, the smell isn't great but I hardly noticed it. I used this on my super hairy arms (not charming, I know) and my upper lip and it worked perfectly following the instructions.

Appalling smell and complety ineffective!
A totally inconvenient, ineffective product with a mortifying, strong and musky smell. It does not achieve its purpose in anyway and just leaves my skin feeling rough and irritated. The idea behind the product - to be able to use a hair removal cream while in the shower - is a great one and, if it worked, would truly be convenient and time saving. However, given that this product does not achieve a SINGLE THING I would advise people to not spend their time or money on it. I first used this hair removal cream last week and i can say confidently that I'd use it again, however I much prefer waxing as it leaves my skin smooth and will stay like that for about a month before the regrows. What i like about the cream is that it doesn't have that over powering smell you usually get with hair removal creme, so that was a bonus. In a couple of words, it was simple, quick and cheap.

It's good, but it smells BAD!
Veet's In-Shower Hair Removal Cream is really good at getting rid of my hairy legs. The trick is to really scrub away those hairs. That way, you'll get more hair off. It lasts quite a while too (around three weeks for me), so you don't have to keep worrying about any unsightly legs. The only downside is the smell. The smell of the cream is pretty bad, but it's bearable. Otherwise, it's a great hair removal cream that lasts you a pretty long time.

Although this product smells so awful it is very effective in removing hair. So easy to use and I'm left with smooth, soft, silky legs.

Smells gros and doesn't work
I always have hairs left on my legs after using this. Maybe it would be better on a smaller area of my body. It smells really disgusting though.

Makes your legs soooo soft. I used a sample of this first and absolutely loved it. I didn't need to moisturise after. I purchased this product straight after and it is so lovely. Smells not that crash hot, but hey it smoothes your legs and thats great.
