Become a Garnier ambassador!

Exciting news beauties, Garnier have just launched a super-exciting competition that will see 10 lucky peeps becoming the new Garnier ambassadors!

I’m sure you’re already familiar with Garnier’s catchy tagline (“take care, Garnier” – yes, that one!), so in keeping with that tagline, this is no run-of-the-mill competition – it’s a competition with a conscience. You know, the type that rewards those that are trying to do great things for their community (the best kind if you ask us!).

So if you’re currently involved in helping out your local community - whether it be fundraising for a local school or sporting group, assisting with community activities or raising awareness of important local issues – and also love all things beauty, then this is definitely the comp for you!

Those chosen to be the 10 Garnier Take Care Ambassadors will become the ‘faces’ of Garnier, helping to lead The Circle (Garnier’s online community), sharing beauty and wellness advice with its online community, and trialling and reviewing new Garnier products.

But that’s not all beauties… The 10 Garnier Take Care Ambassadors will also receive a whopping $1,000 to support their local project/initiative, have the opportunity to raise awareness for it through The Circle and facebook, and have access to Garnier products for fundraising events.

Entries are open now and close on 4th January 2012. From there, the final Ambassadors will be chosen through public voting with the winners announced in February 2012.

Brain cancer - not much fundraising for brain cancer as there is for other cancers.

I'm extremely tempted to hold a huge fundraiser night for Brain cancer - any businesses on here interested in supporting?

This is a great competition! I'm not doing any community work at the moment which is strange for me but I'm sure the winners will deserve the prizes. Good luck everyone. It would also be nice to see what charities and communities everyone else supports.

I would love to, but unfortunately, I don't have enough time for any side projects :(

There are probably so many deserving people, it is hard to come up with just one thing. Any volunteer should be honoured by their community. I hope some names come up, it is the behind the scene people that make projects happen.

I wish I could, but I don't much community work. Best of luck for those who do apply!

This is such a great idea. I am thinking of nominating my sister, she is a teachers aid for kids with special needs. It is an area that is lacking in most communities. She is patient and kind to these kids and gives them the extra care that they deserve.

There are so many worthy causes. Nurses, doctors, teachers should always get a nod, and those who deal with or provide services for sick and/or disabled children. I agree with Beautyqueen95 - brain cancer is on the increase and gets little attention or funding. I'm a big believer in putting back to the community on all scales, small and grand. I'm doing the small at the moment, helping to organise my town's big festival. All the current organisers are 70+ and I fear, without new input (more than mine), the fun and cultural heart of the town will die soon.

This is a great competition. It makes everyone think about what they could do and who deserves plaudits.

Research into cancer and mental health need heaps more money...as I guess a lot of other worthy causes that have also been mentioned above. This is a really good thing that Garnier are doing.
