beautyheaven says:

Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation is a lightweight foundation designed to give a matte finish. Its ink-like formula contains SPF18 as well as oils that evaporate quickly, leaving only pure pigments on the skin. The foundation also contains lipophilic active to absorb excess oil, as well as hydrophilic agents to help control skin’s humidity.

Nearly all of the testers were impressed with the bottle’s sleek packaging, with several mentioning the spill-proof lid. They were also pleased with the product’s smooth application and long-lasting, matte finish.

Some of our members commented on the higher price point, but most agreed it was a product worth paying a bit more for.

“As soon as I saw the bottle, I was sold. Classy and elegant as you’d expect from a brand like YSL, it is in a sleek frosted glass bottle with black and gold detailing. The screw cap under the pop-off lid is a great idea: not only is it connected to the applicator, but it also ensures no accidental spillages while the bottle is in your make-up bag.” – HMad. “It blended effortlessly and had a silky-smooth matte finish. It also has a sweet fragrance, which added a bit more of a luxe feel to application. The foundation lasted through a full day’s work and even though I tend to get oily skin, my skin stayed matte throughout the day.” – missmoniRead more

“This foundation gave quite a lovely matte finish without looking powdery or sticking to any problem areas such as dry skin or pores/fine lines. A lot of matte finish foundations tend to do this to me, so I was pleasantly surprised that this one didn’t! I tried it with and without a primer and found it worked much better with one. I would expect that with any foundation though, so no surprises there.” – maydayismyday. Read more

“The foundation glides on easily when blending. It has a slightly watery consistency compared to other foundations I’ve used, but it does a great job in covering all my imperfections without looking cakey or making my skin feel uncomfortable. It leaves my skin looking matte.” – Cwingy83. Read more
“I found the foundation’s texture to be extremely light and easy to blend. You can also build coverage but beware if you like a lot of coverage – I think putting a second layer on makes the foundation appear ‘cakey’ and unnatural.’” – sonalee. Read more
