My latest colour crush

Call it early-onset seasonal affective disorder, call it a plain old colour crush, or, if you're a chakra channeller, say it's got something to do with my solar plexus, but I've had a weird thing for all things yellow lately. And it's approaching obsession status fast.
I've been trailing after sunflower-like brollies as they bob along the street, I'm eating bananas by the bushel (potassium intake covered) and I'm seeking all sorts of ways to inject sunny spots into my mornings.
The colour therapy theory says that, tuned into my third (possibly malfunctioning) chakra, yellow is a power colour – it rules will and autonomy while promoting energy, spontaneity and non-dominating strength. But I just say it makes me feel all zingy and awake, so…
For those can't-tear-yourself-out-of-bed mornings, may I suggest…
Garnier Body Tonic Sugar Scrub ($11.99) to slough the dullness away and get you glowing with grapefruity goodness.
For flat-hair moments…
RPR Haircare Pump Up My Volume Shampoo & Conditioner ($15.95 each) to help you froth and bubble your way to frangipani-, grapefruit- and lime-scented bounce.
To help your face radiate like the sun peeking through a cloud…
Decleor Source D'Eclat Radiance Revealing Peel-Off Mask ($80). This brightness-boosting vitamin hit wakes up sleepy skin faster than you can say 'double espresso'.
I'm not quite brave enough to try the sunshiny shadow as beaming on our model here, but if I were, I'd wear…
I Nuovi Trucolour D30 Eyeshadow in Yellow Flash ($35) for a touch of shock-factor chic.
I told you. Obsessed. Blame it on my chakras.

I think it's the continuous dull weather; it's starting to bring on S.A.D and yellow is such a lovely bright and energetic colour. I wish I had a bit more yellow in my wardrobe. I'm inspired to go shopping! Love the yellow eyeshadow the model is sporting but not sure i'd be brave enough or that I could get away with it.

Hmmm, yellow really isn't my colour (though I did have a lovely yellow top last summer) Definitely couldn't wear yellow eyeshadow. At the moment I'm a little obsessed with turquoise....I blame my Beauty Heaven turquoise flower...

I love the colour yellow, such a vibrant happy colour.
I just can't wear it unfortuatley as it makes me look too washed out...but I love colour, anything that will liven up my day...the yellow brolly sounds a 'bright' idea...
Hey...its that beautiful model Olivia?
It looks just like her! xxx

The model looks gorgeous! I do love the colour yellow :) I love a glass bowl on a bench with lemons. I think it looks so refreshing and the smell is divine! I don't think I can pull off lemon eye shadow however I like a burnt orange colour in summer and have found a lovely trio shadow pack from Inglot which I'm yet to purchase.

Yellow is an interesting colour. :) Not quite my favourite, a bit too happy for me, but I have no qualms about using products aside from cosmetics that're 'yellow'! :D thanks!

Yellow is a great colour - but I can't wear it, it makes me look ridiculous! I do like having bright colours like yellow around me though, especially in the gloomy weather (I think we're all a bit water-logged in Sydney at the moment)

I dont think i could pull off the super bright yellow. The various bright yellow products are a great idea to get through the depressing fall into winter weather.

Surprisingly fun summery yellow dresses really suit me - I had no idea yellow would work for me, but one day shopping my 6yo demanded I try on a yellow frock, hey presto, cute as! But I'm not so sure that yellow eyeshadow would do me any favours! ;)

I am one of the fortunate ones too glamourcat that can wear yellow. I really like it, especially those beautiful soft yellows, vibrant but not OTT. as for yellow shadow, I might be a bit too chicken to try so I'll stick with the gold.

Yellow is gorgeous and happy but it washes me out completely because I'm so pale.
My colour crush is definitely fuschia!

The only time I've been game enough to wear yellow eyeshadow was when I did myself up to attend a Matildas (Australian female soccer team) game - green and yellow eyeshadow as a sign of national pride, hoorah!

Yellow is meant to be a 'happy' colour. But I tend to wear it in summer only.

Yellow is a nice colour. I have a few yellow tops in my wardrobe, never tried the yellow eyeshadow. I'm not that game.

Oh wow, what a daring look! Yellow must be about the only colour I have not tried on my eyes. But I think it would make me look like I have jaundice. I'll stick with gold!

I do love Tracey blaming it on her chakras! haha... lol :)

I love bright colored eye shadows, just like that girls! Like you, I'm a bit scared of wearing them out though! Maybe after lots and lots of practise applying I'll be game..
