I’m a natural brunette and had dark, block colour hair but it made it hard to hide the greys I have coming through. Since hitting my 30s they’ve been a tad more noticeable. So I’ve lightened my hair with some highlights etc and it hides them so much better between dye jobs. Sorry but I don’t know any other option other than dying… unless you shave your head ;P.

Grey hair is funny, as we are already programmed with the information to begin the greying process when we are born :(. But I know massaging our scalps can result in a cleaner fresher and healthier scalp with growth. Massaging your scalp takes vital nutrients to the scalp directly the blood supply and feeding our follicle. Having Vitamins and Proteins like fish can help too 🙂

It depends on your age & how many greys you have.

I got my first grey at 16 (yep, that’s right – plucked my first one out in a fit of panic) but I didn’t start dyeing my hair until I was 27. By that time I was sick of seeing them & although they kinda blended into my naturally ash brown hair, it just felt like the right time to start doing it. I suppose I could’ve gone & got foils but no, I went the full colour job instead & went chocolate brown. My greys are concentrated at my roots & they’re getting worse now that I’m getting older – I can’t tell whether I have any natural colour left.

My brother & I got our first greys in primary school! I went platinum a few years ago, thinking my hair had more white/grey than brown – I was so wrong! My regrowth looked black! I went back to dyeing it brown, but I know how hard it is to tell what natural colour you`ve got left just by regrowth alone.

I started getting greys when I was 30 and initially pulled them out but then I got blonde foils throughout my hair (which was kind of like salt and pepper at the time). I’ve continued having blonde foils put in with sometimes caramel. I still have some whitey blonde hairs from when I was little still around.

I love what my hairdresser does now, it’s blonde but yes you can see some greys, white also.

Yep, get foils and they will blend in. A good hairdresser will be able to help you cover them.

I agree, I get foils and I my greys aren’t so noticeable. I love that I don’t have to get it touched up as regularly as all over blonde

I have lighter foils in my hair which helps blend the greys in. The good thing with having foils is I can get away with several months without colouring.

When I started to get greys throughout my hair my hairdresser gave me a full head of foils in a cool blonde tone to blend then with each visit she just does root touchups for greys. The greys blend in a lot more now

When I had just a few greys (aka silver highlights), I used a DIY rinse that gradually washed out. However when I got lots of them, I started using a permanent dye. Schwarzkopf works best for me.

Know the feeling too well, I got lighter blonder/caramel foils to try blend it in but don’t notice much of a difference! Dying close to your natural colour I would say
