Revive your over plucked eyebrows

Revive your over plucked eyebrows

Eyebrows should never be underestimated. A perfectly groomed brow can be a game changer to your appearance. And lately it’s all been about the big, bold and beautiful.

But unfortunately not all of us were born with badass brows like Cara Delevingne and some of us may have overindulged in plucking in the past.

It can be quite disheartening to only be left with pencil thin lines above your eyes and even more so when no amount of eyebrow pencils or quick beauty tricks can undo the damage.

Anna Pursglove is one such lady who was fed up with her lack of hair up there. So much so that she decided to undergo eyebrow transplant surgery.

Say what!?!

Yep, move over boob jobs and botox, there’s a new cosmetic procedure in town.

Usually reserved for those who have lost their eyebrows due to illness or medication, the procedure involves removing a narrow strip of skin and hair from the back of your head and then inserting it using a fine needle into the brow line. (Hectic!) The hairs then take about six to eight months to become fully visible.

But before you get too excited the procedure costs close to $6000 (typical), so it may be worth trying some less expensive and less invasive methods first. Here are some tips:

1. Don’t touch your brows for three months

This may seem incredibly obvious, but for those who can’t stand a messy brow this is a very difficult task. Tie up your hands and throw out your tweezers if you have to because you’ll never know what your brows are capable of until you stop tweezing completely.

2. Gently exfoliate

If your brows are sparse due to overplucking, gently exfoliating the area can help stimulate hair growth. Use a soft toothbrush a few times a week and when I say gently, I mean it. If your skin turns red you’ve gone too far.

3. Try a growth syrum

Before you start to consider more drastic measures to get back your brows, you should try a growth syrum. We like Elizabeth Arden Prevage® Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum, which has been clinically proven to make brows appear fuller and healthier. Not to mention it does the same for your eyelashes, bonus!
