Always a lip product of some sort and in my car I keep a powder compact with a mirror in case of unwanted shine. Always SPF of some form and that is about it, short distance makes it not too far so I can just zip home for any essentials anytime I need :)

Yes have to have my Lucas paw paw, a nail file, hand cream and a lip gloss :)
Well thats my absolute minimum.... But yes I suffer from bad shoulders especially after watching the boys soccer because Im standing there for 2 hours with my overloaded bag on my shoulder, and I wake up the next morning with a sore neck, took me a while to work out what was causing it, Bimbo!! xox xox

I'm always being told off by my hubby for carrying too much in my handbag...he calls it my suitcase! There lots of things I could never be without: Lucas Paw Paw cream, Lancome Juicy Tube in Lychee, Jurlique Rose Hand Cream and Rosewater Mist and Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, it's and oldie but a goodie!! :)

The Sense shower pack sounds great, will have to check it out for my next weekend getaway! My essential kit contains not much actually lol I should possibly add to it. I have a revlon lipstick in brown, and a compact of pressed powder as I tend to end up shiny thru the day.

For me, this is where all the mini products in the 'gift with purchase' packs really come into their own! I save them up and use them when I am going on short trips away. Also a great way to use the samples I've been able to accumulate from the freebies thread in the beautyheaven forum!

Hand cream, lip gloss, nail file, dental floss, the usual stuff :) I only really take stuff with me if I'm going somewhere overnight, other than that I never carry any makeup products with me or anything...

Would be lost without my lipgloss, nail file, tens machine, body moisturiser and my sample of perfumes I throw in my bag for just in case. Also throws in a wisp (little toothbrush with toothpaste).

My compact is on the go with me all the time. I'd also carry some gloss, black eyeliner pencil, some paw paw ointment, deodorant, comb, tissues and some mints. I'm sure there's some more things I'd throw in there that I haven't mentioend.

Those kits sound brilliant - all organised!
A short distance travel essential has to be my lip balm with SPF30+ (loving the Ego QV 30+ and Natio 30+ as well as my old fave Blistex Lip Conditioner in the little pot with SPF). A decent hairbrush.

I will always besides the necessities such as deodorant and toothpaste, I like to pack a face wash like QV, moisturiser with SPF, blush, mascara and lip gloss and a hair band - if I have the option to pack for more, I always will.

Some interesting products mentioned in this blog Olivia, don't think I have heard of them before. I like my pawpaw ointment, mascara, lipgloss, powder compact and mini deodorant for short day trips but overnights all whole other story. I need my regular products (creature of habit) so any samples, gwp sized or popped into little travel pots works best for me. I havent really got the downsizing part for travel downpat yet, lol.

I have massive issues with travelling light!! A few years back I went on a contiki tour around europe. They had strict instructions that your luggage could weigh no more than 20kg and everyones bag was weighed before getting on, if your bag was too heavy you had to leave stuff behind or ship it home. I was very sneaky and took out my (prob 4kg!!) beauty bag, hid it in a bush, got 'weighed in' and then snuck my beauty bag back in hahaha!!!
If I must travel light - paw paw ointment, a powder compact - usally mac studio fix, my stila convertible colour which I can use for eyes lips and cheeks, estee lauder double wear concealer and I always keep sample sachets for when travelling also
