They sound like top products Liv!
Just yesterday I was mentioning to my 11 year old how back in the seventies (when I was her age, 11) I was encouraged by my older cousins to get out and get your skin burnt so you could have fun 'peeling' your blistered skin in a few days!!!! Can you believe that!?!! Well it's true and I have to say those cousins of mine may only be 10 years older than me but boy do they look decades older, literally. Thankfully my mum would put zinc on our noses, tell us to sit under the beach umbrella if we looked like we were getting burst and often told us to wear out tee shirts if our shoulders were 'turning red'. She had some sense in those crazy seventies atleast I suppose. I absolutely had passion for reading about health and so by the time I was 18 I was wearing a full SPF moisturiser on my face daily. It wasn't common to do that back then though and I wish I was able to start earlier even than 18. Atleast I did and I do believe it's given my skin a major benefit.

i wish i knew about the suns effects and skin cancer when i was younger. my mum just told me to put it on so i didnt get sunburnt... she never told me what would happen if i got burnt though other than a tan so i never wore it because i wanted a tan not worrying about the consequences.

I wish I knew more about smoking when I was younger, and better protection of sunscreen. I have pigmentation on my face from over exposure to the sun, along with crows feet, that probably wouldnt be as bad if I didnt smoke.

So many things... but beauty related that hairdressers aren't a necessity. The "rules" of hairdressing are a load of hogwash, etc.

I use to read alot of magazines so I was pretty clued up with beauty things and sun as mum had red hair and freckles so I think I was more stubborn and defiant than anything or trying to be cool, these days everything has done a 360 people have a different mindsest and education

That flossing really is important. You really need to take the time to do it at least once a day.

I wish I had stuck to waxing my legs and bikini line and not stopped and started over so many years as I probably would be virtually hair free by now!

My mum tells me horror stories of her brothers making her peel off their burnt skin back when they were teens! Yuck! Then she tells me she and her friends used to apply baby oil so they'd get a better tan - no sunscreen!
My mother, however, was always super protective of our skin as kids - slip, slop, slap - hat, sunnies, and pleeeeenty of sunscreen (with reapplying!). I was not so good with it in my late teens, but having had 2 nasty sunburns on my shoulders I'm now a sunsafe nazi myself! No more painful red burns for me! I'm over it and it's not worth the colour!

I definately wish I knew about the link between sunburn and cancer when I was younger, I definately don't like getting burnt or anything now.. And I always make sure my little ones slip, slop, slap when they play outside.

I wish my Year 7 teachers knew the effects of sun damage. Back in the day (sigh), sunscreen lasted precisely 1 minute in the water. Yet still my teachers wouldn't give me a break - learn to swim I would, despite sunburn, sunstroke and the portuguese man-of-war jellyfish floating on by in the tidal pools.

I wish the world had had a better understanding of what damage the sun does to our skin, when I was growing up. I cringe at how we used to sunbake and oil our bodies. I definately see the damage the sun has caused, every day when I look in the mirror, wrinkles. ###Sandra

I wish I hadn't partied so much in my younger years - I feel like that has aged me considerably.

I've only recently started using sunscreen as part of my beauty/skincare routine and hopefully it's not too late. I admit I was quite negligent when it came to my skincare up until mid last year! Now I religiously cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisterise with masks, serums - the whole lot!

The list of things I know now that I wished I knew before is actually enormous for me. One of the things I wish I knew more about is science and the workings of everything. I also wish I knew more about people as well. Hindsight is a wonderful thing is'nt it!

I would have to say knowing more about how harmful the sun can be - in my high school years and a year or so after school I spent so much time sunbaking and even tried to get a face tan - so stupid now I think of it and the damage that it's done. This was only about 8 years ago but I can't recall all the warnings there are now - besides putting on some sunblock it was not that big of a deal to be out in the sun.
