Your best beauty buys this month

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one wondering how on earth it’s almost April. I mean, weren’t we just throwing our champagne glasses into the air and celebrating the arrival of 2012, like, yesterday?

Anyway… To prevent any bad feelings and anxiety attacks over how quickly time flies, here’s a sneak peek at the brilliant new beauty products hitting the counters next month.

Johnson’s No More Tangles Detangling Spray: It doesn’t matter if you’re an adult or a tiny toddler, the truth remains the same – knots are not fun. This spritzy goodness will stop naughty tangles in their tracks, and leave you with silky, shiny, beautifully smelling hair.

Prestige Skin Nude Foundation: This newbie not only gives off a fresh, healthy finish, but it hydrates, energises and protects the skin from free radical damage, too.

Lanolips Lovely Lanolin Herbal Treatment Body Oil: Got scars, stretchmarks or uneven skin tone? If you’re nodding furiously right now then get this lanolin baby stat, as it will help treat them all. ($18.95; 02 9663 4277)

L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Vita Lift 5 Eye Roll-On and Vita Lift 5 Moisturiser: If the man in your life is sporting tired, puffy eyes and lined-looking skin, throw this roll ball and moisturising duo his way for instant skin nourishment and firming of fine lines.

NAPRO Super Soft Repair and Care Shampoo and Conditioner: You may remember this Aussie favourite from the 1950s (if not bet your grandma does!). Either way, this brilliantly hydrating couple will leave your dry, damaged strands looking shiny and new, and all for just a touch over 5 bucks each. ($5.49 each; 1800 022 219)

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter: The balmy, hydrating sister of the original ColorBurst lipstick, this divine moisture-filled lippie provides a hint of stunning colour with a dose of high-shine. (Note: On counter 16th April. Mark it in your diaries, beauties – it’s sold out in America so you won’t want to miss out when it hits shelves Down Under!)

Garnier Hand Intensive 7 Days Hand Cream
: I’m a wee bit slack when it comes to applying hand cream, but the best thing about this glorious newbie is that it offers long-lasting hydration for hands even after you’ve washed them. Such a smarty-pants!

Elizabeth Arden Prevage Hydrating Fluid: Lightweight and fast absorbing, this moisturiser infuses the skin with ingredients that protect it against naughty environmental stresses.

Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment and Oily Scalp Treatment: These wonder treatments respectively reverse the scalp damage caused by chemical treatments or colouring, and balance and soothe an oily scalp, giving your hair a better chance at looking shiny and healthy. Amazing, right?

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation: Fool everyone into thinking you’ve had 10 hours sleep with this lightweight, radiance-inducing foundation.

Impulse Love Story: Need an afternoon pick-me-up? Spitz this tasty-enough-to-eat fruity body mist all over your body for instant freshness.

L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Luminosity Day Serum and Luminosity Day Cream: Want luminous, hydrated, youthful looking skin? Um, yes. This luxurious serum and day cream will give dark spots and uneven skin tone the flick, and take you a few thousand steps closer to achieving your glowing skin dream.

Valentina by Valentino: This scent was inspired by Mr Valentino’s hometown of Rome, and it smells as feminine and sensuous as its flower-adored bottle looks. (30mL $90; 02 9695 5678)

CLEAN & CLEAR MORNING BURST Shine Control Cleanser and Shine Control Scrub: A shine-free, fresh face is a happy face, so get rid of dirt, oil and other impurities with these little gems. Use the cleanser every single morning and the scrub a couple of times a week and your tired, dull skin won’t stand a chance.

essence Colour and Go Quick Drying Nail Polish: I don’t know about you, but I’m terrible at staying inside the ‘lines’ when it comes to painting my nails. However, these newbie polishes make messy nail colour application impossible because of their broad application brush, which covers the entire nail in one stroke. It’s sheer brilliance.

Estée Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer: Not only does this little wonder give the skin a beautiful velvety finish, it also refines, mattifies, controls oil and instantly evens out skin tone. The gel formula also contains green to and vitamin E, which means it’ll calm and rebalance your skin, too.

Which of these newbies will you be purchasing in April?

Can't wait to get the Revlon Lip Butters (so much raving over them), definitely Valentina by Valentino as one of my fave fragrances is Valentino and the Napro Super Soft Repair Shampoo and Conditioner seem really nice - I happened to smell some of them just recently in store, delicious!

I've heard some rave comments about the Revlon Lip Butters so they are definitely on my to-try list, but the L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Luminosity range is news to me - sounds like my kind of thing :-) Also interested in the Garnier hand cream, thanks bh!

Oops, hadn't looked at the pictures - I'd also buy the Valentina perfume for the bottle alone, the most beautiful I've EVER seen, wow!

I buy Johnson’s No More Tangles Detangling Spray, it really works as I tend to get really a lot of tangles when I was my hair, so it works a treat.

The Revlon Lip Butter, finally! And That Prestige foundation, might give that a whirl too. Also definitely the Garnier hand cream since it claims to keep working even after washing your hands, I'd love to test that claim!
