Product Of The Year - the beauty winners!

Each year, global research company TNS, surveys thousands of shoppers to determine the best of the best supermarket buys for the Product Of The Year Awards. This year, 7,000 Australian household shoppers were surveyed to find the most innovative new products to hit supermarket shelves between 1st January 2010 and 30th August 2011.

Product Of The Year Director, Sarah Connelly, said that most of the 28 winners reflected the huge time pressure everyone is under and the desire to find new products to make lives simpler and better.

“Consumers are looking for good value, with supermarket home brands scoring two awards this year, but there’s still room for little luxuries even though purses are being squeezed. A number of category winners are not the cheapest options, but clearly shoppers think they are worth paying that little bit extra for,” she said.

I have not tried any of the winning brands/products but am interested to try the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream and Dove shampoo/conditioner. In terms of supermarket brands, would give my vote to Vaseline for the best body lotion.

For a skin cleanser I'd choose dove gentle exfoliating cleanser :) It's amazing and lathers up so nicely :)

I use the Nivea deodorant and I LOVE IT!! I would have loved to try the L'Oreal but unfortunately, it doesn't have the colour I want (which is a purple brown). So, I use Schwartzkopf.

surprisingly I have tried a few of these products, but if i had to pick one that I'd love to try I'd go for the Olay regenerist. Out of the ones i have used the Nivea express hydration has been my favourite.

This is really interesting. I don't think I've ever tried any of these products before. It'd be interesting to try a few of these! Like the BB cream and Dove's shampoo and conditioner.

Oh, the BB cream really made me break out very badly...such a pity!

Since I got pregnant the only beauty products I've used were for the Trial Team, so that's like maybe 2? lol need to get back in to it :)

I love the Nivea body lotions and deodorants, and the Listerine Zero is the first mouthwash that I can actually stand using (thanks BH for getting me on to that one!!). I have also tried the Garnier BB, and while I do like it, it doesnt offer enough coverage for me on a daily basis, and I also have a feeling that it makes my skin break out..
