Milking it

When you think of milk, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? Cows? Breastfeeding? The stuff you put on your cereal every morning? Well that’s what would usually come to my mind – until now.
Since my recent visit to Sydney’s Milk Face Place & Spa, any time anyone mentions the word ‘milk’ I’m instantly transported to a serene, relaxing haven (not always conducive when someone’s waiting to find out if you want milk in your morning coffee).
The treatment I was lucky enough to experience was the Milk Detox Facial, which is designed to purify and revitalise skin through the use of extraction, massage and a soothing masque system.
I’d love to say I remember every step of my facial, but the truth is it was so divine that I think I drifted off to an alternative relaxation-only reality for the one-hour duration! What I do remember though, is that in the days that followed my complexion looked bright, clear and healthy, and felt super-soft to touch – and that’s the most important part, right?
What’s the first thing that you think of when you hear the word ‘milk’?

When I think generally about Milk I think Frozen Frappe, Costco sells this delicious blend that is sooo good. But when I think skin care and milk I think MooGoo.
But this Milk Face Place & Spa sounds interesting, I am based in Melbourne so wont be going there anytime soon. I hope the beauties who go have a great time!!

Cleopatra! She reportedly bathed in milk and it seems that these days lots of bath and body products are created with milk - obviously she was onto a good thing!

...if any one was interested in doing a Cleopatra, a friend of mine always recommended having a relaxing bath with some milk powder you get from the supermarket. She always said it made her skin silky smooth.
