I’ve decided I want to be cool. I realise I’ve broken the cardinal rule of coolness, ie: do not divulge thy longing to be cool at any point, but I can’t help it – I’ve been looking at too many pics of Alice Dellal (pictured), Alexa Cheung, Daisy Lowe and I want in.

I’ve been studying their movements and I think if I follow these simple steps I’ll be there...

The girls (and guys for that matter) of the cross-Atlantic gang like to make a statement or two. Case in point: Jaime Winston’s crimped, purply red locks, Aggy’s eclectic dress sense, the list goes on. They’re the kind of gals who wear NARS Lipstick in Schiap (the hottest of hot pinks) to pick up a loaf of bread but could just as easily turn the tables and wear nothing but a slick of L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Powder to party all night long. Gosh I’m never going to get the hang of this.

One thing that is frighteningly obvious is that, despite partying til all hours, the gang still manage to look fresh as a daisy. I bet it’s down to these beauties:

I wouldn't mind being an IT girl or trendsetter. I've always loved Kate Moss's style, Nicole Ritchies polished boho look, Jennifer Aniston's girl next door look and Gisele Bundchen's sexiness to name a few. I'd probably like to be part of a gang of super cool stylists (like Rachel Zoe) and makeup artists (like Rae Morris).

I have never been into gangs, lol, I would rather be an individual with my own hot style, lol.

Ohh BO you've hit the nail on the head for me - I want to be part of the Rachel Zoe crew too! Love her style, love her work, love her book, love her show - and she seems really nice and down to earth too! Plus her wardrobe is AMAZING and if I was friends with her I could borrow heaps of stuff! :)

I have never been a gang person and plus I like the friends I have now and will continue to make in my life. Though I have never referred them to as gangs. Now as far as what would I like to look like in the model gang actor type thing. Agnes personally I don't get the hype yet she is in all my fashion and beauty magazines. I look at make-up on some of the girls and their clothes on the runway. Name me 5 right now that you could wear down the shops. Also I then go oh she has brunette hair and she has hazel eyes then I think there is no way I could pull that off during the day time or without some serious help from a make-up artist. So I will stick to stumbling around and feeling like I am 16 again and trying to work out what suits me it's just a shame things have drooped since I was 16, the eye lids ladies, I was talking about the eye lids.
Though on another note if William peterson was to knock on the door I would be shoving hubby out the back window while I let my new husband in. Yeah I would definately join his gang. hubbah hubbah!

i actually hadn't thought of being in a gang- sounds so juvenile to me (this is me talking, who is 17 and still likes cartoons). i think i'm too immature for gangs! but i have my own sense of self, i don't need a gang to be cool lol.

Looks like Alice has a good makeup artist judging by the sun damage on her arms and the marked difference in colour between her face and arms, this girl needs some spf 30 plus!!
