9 budget beauty buys you didn’t know you needed

Confession: When it comes to beauty buys, I can be a little stingy. (And if you are too, you might want to check out the top 200 beauty products under $20)

With the exception of my beloved NARS Bronzer, I don’t often splurge on products. After all, I’m no millionaire.

But that doesn’t mean I can’t look like a million dollars. When it comes to value for money, these babies take the cake…

1. Colour by TBN Moisturising Lipstick

For just $3.50, this lipstick delivers aloe vera and vitamin E to moisturise the lips while providing lightweight, smooth colour. Deeeluxe.

2. Mode Nail Colour

These quick-drying polishes are one of my biggest budget beauty go-tos. They’re available in 66 amazing shades (and for a ridiculously-priced $2.45 each).

3. The Body Shop Scents Of The World Perfume Oil

A drop or two of this affordable perfume oil is all you need to smell scent-sational (think romantic and fruity notes of Fuji apple and Chinese magnolia). It’s also alcohol-free for those with sensitive skin.

5. Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion

Formulated to relieve and protect itchy, dry skin, this soothing lotion is the perfect post-shower pick-me-up. It also costs just $13.00. #Winning.

6. 1000 Hour Self Tan Applicator Mitt

If you’re serious about self tan, you know your trusty mitt is essential for a streak-free finish. This one’s machine washable, so you can use it over and over!

7. Wet Ones ® Be Fresh Original Value Bulk Pack

Designed for use on the hands and body, these antibacterial wipes are an everyday staple. Plus, you get 80 in a pack (which means one pack will last you almost three months!)

8. Hollywood Feet™ Secret Gel Heel Cushions

Love your sky-high stilettos? For just $6.95 a pair, these clear, discreet cushions will help relieve any discomfort caused. They’re also lightly scented with lavender (love).

9. Vaseline Petroleum Jelly

When it comes to multitasking, Vaseline really takes the cake. For just $2.73 for 50g, it soothes nappy rash, chaffing, sore lips and minor burns. It can also be used for these eight other things.

Do you swear by any of these budget beauty buys? What’s your all-time favourite affordable beauty product?
