Beauty begins with flawless skin

I’ve had days lately (mostly while I was overseas) where my make-up just doesn’t look right. Usually I’m a master with a foundation brush – and can magically hide even the peskiest of pimples without much thought.
But somehow lately, no matter how much of the beige stuff I paint on and no matter how rosy I make my cheeks – my complexion still doesn’t look right.
I put it down to one thing – my skincare regime has basically been thrown out of the window of late. I’ve become lazy, simply grabbing for a face wipe when it comes time to de-make-up.
The madness had to end. So I turned to my latest skin crush, which I discovered in the office, Alex Cosmetic Herbal Aktiv Peel Herbal Beauty Mask. A firming peel-off mask that works to leave skin refreshed, relaced and utterly radiant. I knew I was on the path to a luminous complexion.
Next stop, a brilliant cleanser to leave my face feeling fabulous with each rinse. Enter Dr. Spiller Biocosmetic Hydro Marin Foaming Cleanser – the answer to my previous skin sins. This wonder product helps to strengthen and support the skin’s own systems while providing a deliciously healthy glow to boot. Hurrah!

How’s your skin doing? Any skin saviours you swear by?

My skin is shocking at the moment, I've been sick for the past few days so my beauty routine has gone out the window, and my skin isnt thanking me for it! Pimples galour, redness and dull skin! Worst is my acne marks/scars :( My skin saviours are rose hip oil, which calms my skin and gets rid of the acne scars and my new neutrogena fight and fade gel which is fantastic :D

My skin is looking MUCH better than before as I have had cystic acne =( I am on antibiotics, as well as zinc and fish oil supplements which has been helping fighting my infection and calming the redness.
Im really loving the simplicite rosehip and lavender complexion refiner to help brighten my complexion.

My skin was awful a few weeks ago when I got the Flu and Bronchitis.
For me it's going back to the basics of skin care. Not using too many products at one time.
Once a week the aspirin mask helps clear the skin up giving a healthy complexion.

ive been pretty good with my skin, i take my makeup off first with a wipe or ponds cold cream then cleanse with clinques 3 step, at night i use trilogy rose hip oil, and its pretty simple but it is working great for me. I have also been drinking more teas (roobios and green chai) than coffee lately and the antioxidants in tea might be helping too.

I've been using Simple mousse cleanser religiously until Mum sent me a few Dead Sea soap bars and now I'm converted. I can't rave about it enough :)) My skin hasn't looked this good in years! Not even when I was pregnant... Basically I just use this soap twice a day (it doesn't have any chemicals in it which is awesome!!), then I use Witch hazel as a toner and then Clean&Clear oil free moisturiser at night. If it's day time I use Nivea mattifying moisturiser or Neutrogena oil free moisturiser with SPF.. I try not to use too many products because that makes things a lot worse... Stick to the basics, a bit less make up and it's working miracles!!

Oh and I swear by Simple make up remover too, it removes everything even tough waterproof make up. I try to NEVER be lazy about removing make up so I don't even buy those wipes because they're so tempting!!

I have had the most rubbish skin for the past few months.. initially I blamed it on moving countries to changing climates... I've trialed so many different brands and have finally settled on SK-II and I just love it! it's just perfect on my skin and I am so obsessed with SK-II now! I've never heard of the 2 brands you mention in the article.. I'll have to check them out :-)

Still loving my Esthederm Mattifying Lotion and Pore Minimiser to keep my oily skin on track and help reduce the size of my pores. My favourite cleanser is the ASAP glycolic cleanser wonderful stuff really gets rid of all the gunk from my face, and clears any congestion. Instead of a moisturiser I have been using Medik8 Hydrating serum, wonderful and light on my oily complexion. And saving the best for last my Skinceuticals Clay Mask is amazing as it draws out blackheads almost instantly, and definitely keeps any future ones at bay :)

My skin is breaking out badly due to hormones, but thank god it's not cystic. I have a pimple on my chin, and I never ever breakout on my chin! The only things that are stopping the breakouts from getting any worse are my Lush Saving Face Facial Serum, my St Ives Apricot blemish control scrub and my St Ives Mineral Clay Mask

Cause im pale my skin looks dull really easily if i dont do anything to brighten it a little atleast (plus my skin hates the cold so it makes it worse). Best thing for it is a glycolic acid peel and eventone radiance cream...sadly the eventone cream has been discontinued so when this runs out ill be on the hunt for something else like it :(

Water, water, water, water. My skin looks terrible when I'm dehydrated, and it dries out in Winter. I force myself to drink at least 2 litres of water a day, often more.

I'm guilty of slacking off too. Stumbling in after work, too tired to give my face a good clean. IWhen my skiin breaks out though, I swear by my Mario Badescu skincare. Its a lifesaver

I have blemish-prone skin (I much prefer calling it that than pimply or anything else, I think it's partly psychological :P) and have been using Pro-Activ for a few months now. I have noticed my skin has been a little dry these past few weeks but I think it's the cold weather as we have had a colder than normal August. Either way I am going to keep an eye on it, I think pimples, sorry blemishes, and dry skin would be a terrible combo...

Not so good, as I'm sporting a few spots. : ( I swear by Dermalogica for skin saviours. I’ve been so impressed by their products and have found them to work wonders for my skin. I've just started using a couple of items from their new Clean Start range and am already seeing results. : )

My skin is good just dry all the time and it sure sucks up the moisturiser. Loving the sound of the peel off mask.....they are my favourites.

have terrible skin that has split personalities, it can't decide who or what it wants to be. I actually got a facial yesterday for the first time in years and even the therapist had to admit that my skin has issues. I have some sensitivity and a bit of light rosacea which means I'm pretty pink, not pretty in pink, plus I have combo skin with enlarged pores that tend to get gunked up plus the skin on my nose peels at the slightest bump so as soon as she started with extractions that was it, skin peeling off everywhere. Basically my skin sucks soI'm always on the look out for a miracle product or regime and she suggested some of their Thalgo products which I can get in a small trial pack so I think I'll give them a go, I guess it can't make it much worse.

Oh I do get that at times too, I recently travelled overseas and my skin has gotten better due to the change of season from this dehydrated Australian winter to the tropical Indonesian humid weather. However, now that I'm back in Australia, my skin is playing up again and the normal foundation I normally wear effortlessly has now been stored for another day, my skin just prefers different products each time!! I think I'm still looking for the IT product... but going natural is one thing I'd go for.
