This soothing gel mask is rich in collagen, leaving the skin plump, calm and soft. It can also be used as an eye mask to help reduce fine lines and hydrate the skin. Suitable for most skin types, particularly mature or dry skin. Contains native nipan exract, hyaluronic acid, collagen, cucumber extract, aloe vera extract, green tea extract, and vitamins C and E. Pelactiv Collagen Gel Mask does not dry, and can be kept in the fridge and applied cold. Ideal for a pick-me-up before applying make-up.
Cleanse with Pelactiv cleanser, then apply a generous amount of the mask to the face, neck and décolletage, leaving on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool/lukewarm water. Use one to two times a week.

Skin's best friend in winter

When I first tried this mask, I was having a "good skin phase" - you know, when everything seems to be going right and your skin looks amazing? At the time, I didn't see much effect, and pushed it to the back of the cupboard. Well, that was a few months ago. This morning, I woke up to a dry, haggard face with a lot of congestion and some flaky patches. After cleansing and exfoliating in the shower, I applied the fresh-smelling transparent gel to my poor, tired face while I moisturised my body and blow-dried my hair. (I'm mentioning this only because I'm extremely time poor, like most other women, and this proved to me that anyone can fit in a mask, even on a work day.)

The cool, refreshing gel smoothes on very easily, and that's where your effort ends. Do something else for 10-20 mins, then rinse your face with warm water. While it says above that the mask doesn't dry, the water does start to evaporate, leaving a slightly tacky residue that rinses off easily.

The difference in my skin after just 10 minutes was incredible. My fine lines had plumped out, thanks to the hyaluronic acid, and my skin tone had returned to its usual healthy pink instead of exhausted grey. My skin felt incredibly soft, and my makeup sat so well on my face afterwards. The congested areas are still evident, but this particular mask doesn't claim to solve that problem.

I received this mask as a gift and I'm so glad I did, because I wouldn't ever have thought to buy it for my combination skin. While I may not get much use out of it in the warmer months when my skin is oily, right now it's freezing and dry and I can see myself using this at least weekly. If you have dry skin, I highly recommend it.
