Be cool

How to stay cool when it's 782 degrees outside: that is the question. Yep, this one's for you Victorian and South Australian ladies who must be hot, hot, hot. Not to mention fed up, fed up, fed up.
I feel for you girls, I really do. One day at nearly forty degree heat last Saturday saw all my glamour and modesty slip away quicker than Posh's puppy fat. So I don’t want you girls to suffer the same fate. Be sure to snap up these cool cats as the heatwave continues:
Biore Rejuvenate Cooling Eye Gel – this supermarket sweetie is made with a unique moisture matrix that holds up to three times its weight in water. So skin will be kept hydrated, despite the killer temps.
Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skincare Sulfur Cooling Masque – this pot will get you through the balmy evenings, trust me. The potent, medication masque, designed to exfoliate dead skin cells, cleanses clogged pores, reduces oiliness and dries blemishes. Because sadly, no matter the temperature, shiny skin is never going to be en vogue.
Matrix Biolage Scalptherapie Cooling Mint Shampoo – the minty fresh shampoo, that contains kola nut, cleanses the scalp while the refreshing scent distracts you from external worries, like say, the fact that your skin is melting.
Dove Go Fresh Cool Body Wash – this light, cooling formula with the gorgeous scent of waterlily and fresh mint is a shower staple in times of hotness.
And last, but by no means least, do not be without a refreshing facial mist. Avène Thermal Spring Water and Be Genki Serenity Face Mist are always close at hand for me.

What are your top tips for staying unruffled by the heat?

This is definately an article I can relate to!! I'm melting down here in Melbourne!!! It's certainly a scorcher today and for the next couple of days. I feel for those who suffer this heat on a regular basis! I love summer but bring on the cold weather!! I'm drinking loads of water, spritzing my face and body with my A'kin rosewater mist. The Dove bodywash is a great bargain. Smells so refreshing and doesn't dry out the skin :)

Thank God for airconditioning, but even that is working at its limit! I also have a face mist spray on hand (although haven't tried Avene's one yet) . Can't wait for the temperatures to drop again. By the way, gorgeous picture of Marilyn.

I really feel for people that can't take the heat , these lovely things should help cool you down !! If you have a refrigerator /freezer at work or home try putting a damp face washer in a plastic bag in it you will find it cooling and as an extra touch add a light spray of your fav perfume .Keep cool!!!!

It is so hot here in Melbourne and the cool change wont come until sunday. Thank god for aircon at work. I am not looking forward to leaving the office though, it will be scorching when I finish and I have to catch public transport home. So I will have walk out into the heat and sun. I hope I don't get sunburnt. I am constantly drinking water to keep up my fluid levels. My hair also dosen't cope well with the heat and become extra dry and frizzy. So I will need a moisturising product to rehydrate my hair.

About 5 showers a day and staying indoors would be how I'd deal with the heatwave you southern gals are facing. I do feel for you, we had a week for low to mid 30s last week here in Sydney and I was already complaining about that!

Excellent tips for the heat, Thanks BH :) Loving the thought of the Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skincare Sulfur Cooling Masque - could do with that myself!! I'm in Brisbane and it's not too bad here, compared to Melbourne it sounds like paradise. Hope the Victorian heat-wave ends soon - you poor beauties!! Stay cool xoxoxo

there is nothing like a zooper dooper ice block on a stinking hot day. takes me back to being about 4. good times.
remember to stay hydrated ladies, i have been having Hydralite drink and ice blocks from the chemist (been sick and soooooooooooo humid). dehydration wreaks havoc on the skin.

Love the sound of that new biore eye cream? I was just thinking my current trilogy one is running out, and what to get next. I'm always on the lookout for a good hydrating formula.
I'm battling this horrible heat too - I agree with all the suggestions - it's all about hydration. Planning to hit the beach this evening after work too!

The mint shampoo and eye cream sounds divine!! Air-con and swimming are my tips for staying cool. I also freshen up with a squirt of toner.

And I thought it was hot in Southern India!!! Looks like I got back just in time to be proven wrong!
My tips are to wear loose fitting, light weight, natural fibre clothing (so it breathes & air can circulate around your bod)
A face mist kept in the fridge is a must, I love rose water, smells so yummy.
Lot's of water, and a sachet of Hydralyte, I am convinced this stuff could revive anything!
And if you don't have ac, a damp (then slightly frozen) towel draped over your fan & and perhaps an ice pack.
Here's hoping we don't melt away before Sunday!

I really feel for everyone in the heat wave. The Dove body wash sounds like a good one. Also put your toner, moisturiser & eye cream in the fridge. An oldy but a goody.
