CLINIQUE MILD CLARIFYING LOTION FOR DELICATE SKIN

I have noticed some of the earlier reviews here seem to be directed at the Clarifying Lotion 1, which contains alcohol.

This version does NOT contain alcohol, irritants, scent and is NOT drying. It deserves 5 stars allround.

It contains salicylic acid, aloe, millet glycoprotein, light moisture binding agents, and soothing agents.

The product has a toner-lotion consistency that absorbs well (just careful not to pour too much onto the cotton pad or spill any), removes cleanser/makeup residue, skin feels clean, refreshed, soothed, hydrated, smooth and silky.

I have combination skin prone to blackheads and cystic blemishes that is also severely dehydrated. This version of Clinique's chemical exfoliators works best for my skin type as it does not cause problems, strip or irritate.

seems to work ok

i've used different clinique clarifying lotions before and found this one to be less harsh in terms of the feel and the smell but not sure if it's really working as well as the other ones? someone told me it contains aloe vera and so far i haven't had a reaction to it so hopefully it's working

Chemical Exfoliation

I'm in love with this multi-use product as it tones, lightly hydrates, mildly exfoliates and removes the last traces of makeup after cleansing. The reason I bought the Mild version is that it does not contain any skin-damaging alcohol. I have combination breakout prone skin so I need a salycilic acid exfoliant to help deeply clean my pores aswell as smooth and freshen my skin texture and this is an easy way to incorporate a BHA product whilst minimizing the number of products I need to use. Any skin type can definitely use this even though it's meant for dry skin as it sinks in leaving no residue. Feels like nothing on. It's very reasonably priced and the bottle is gorgeous to, looks great on my vanity ;)

Clinique Clarifying Lotion Mild

I have been using the lotion for about 2 months now i don't seem to see any change wether i use it or not... It's probably not worth trying.

It's a little too mild

I found this lotion to be a little too mild and not that effective at picking up anything my cleanser has missed. It also sits on top of the skin a little too long, reducing its ability to prepare you for moisturisation if you're in a bit of a hurry (which I am every morning!). I prefer instead Clinique Clarifying Moisture Lotion - its very mild but absorbs quickly and picks up any left over makeup.

Effective product ****

My favourite item in the 3 step process. I have combination skin and I find it's the only toner I have used on my T-zone without making it oily after moisturising. After a few weeks I could see my blemishes had reduced and I'd stopped breaking out. If I did break out, my pimples were smaller and dried out faster. The only fault I can find is the bottle opening is too large - I usually finish this product before the other 2 steps because I end up pouring too much onto my cotton wool. (perhaps Clinique can put a dripolator cap over it?)

Too drying for me

My skin is somewhat sensitive. I found that using this clarifying lotion twice a day as suggested makes my skin too dry, although it does a good job of getting the dirt off it. It smells like it might have witch hazel in it, which I find very drying.

not worth the money

have tried it does not work, the whole range, and the cleanser is so strong it strips paint off the wall, do not recommend.

not worth it

i would not use clinique products i did try the was and makes my face really dry, and used the moisteriser, made it worse, and the cleanser i did not try, but a friend used it on her wall, dont know why she did, but anyway it STRIPS THE PAINT OFF HER WALL, i would not let that touch me skin, do not recommend at all.

Not for sensitive skin

I suffer from sensitive skin so I thought this product would be fine to use. Unfortunately it was too harsh and dried my skin out immediately. very disappointed.

Look for alternative

I have quite sensitive skin, so this was too harsh for my skin, however after talking to a clinique counter manager they recommended the number one exfoliator or the clarifying moisture lotion, and I immediately saw the difference. Have been using it since.

Clarifing lotion mild

This is essential in the 3 -step process. I couldn't live without this. It doesn't irritate or sting like some others I have tried. Takes off the dead skin and grime, so my skin feels so fresh and clean ready for moisturising. Well worth trying if you want great skin.
