10 of the best: pretty penny savers

If there’s one bit of advice from my mum that I’ll never forget, it’s that you don’t have to spend a fortune to look like a million dollars. Of course splurging with big name brands is always fun, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get the best results.
With everyone pulling the purse strings a little bit tighter this year, it makes sense to get up close and personal with a few pretty penny-saving products that will make you feel beautiful, without breaking the bank…

SAX Brush Set
Complete your brush kit with no more than a $20 note – and get change! This fabulous three-piece brush pack includes a Powder Brush, Blush Brush, and Eyeshadow Brush and is all you need to create a myriad of marvellous make-up looks. The sturdy brushes will help you to apply your make-up effortlessly and last for ages!

These look great - love the packaging! My fave is my angled eyeliner brush - gives me perfect control over eyeliner thickness and intensity, pushes the liner or shadow right to the base of the lashes, and I also use it for applying shadow on my lids precisely where I want it. I have two (Mac and Eco Tools) both equally effective and as fresh as they day I bought them :-)

I'm never sure if cheaper brushes are worth buying - I'm worried they're going to break quickly and be bad quality, but then I'm too much of a cheapo to buy expensive brushes :S ahh the dilemma!

I think there might be a glitch. Whenever I click on "Next" I'm redirected here: http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/skin-care/cleansers-washes

My fav brush is a tie between a massive powder brush and a Bobbi Brown brush for gel eyeliner.

Glitch.
Also, my last single brush (kabuki) cost me $20, and I thought that was cheap.

I have never paid enough attention to the brushes that I use, with all your wonderful articles I think I am going to have to start paying a lot of attention, as they are specific to whatever job is at hand. I just used to use the same brush for everything except foundation, in which case I use my fingers. My bad....

I love the Nude By Nature brush, it is thick , soft and picks up the product really well. It makes the blending very easy.
