It’s a ‘blah’ kind of day

I woke up this morning feeling a little ‘blah’. Well, a lot blah really – and unfortunately, my face decided that instead of working its hardest to fight against it, it was just going to pack it in and let all traces of tiredness shine right on through.
I was up against the following: dark ringed, puffy and blood-shot eyes; blotchy, dull and flaky skin; chapped lips, and to top it all off, majorly sore neck and shoulder muscles. It’s a wonder I made it out of the house and in to work at all in that state!
So now that I’m at work, I’ve decided that the only way to through the morning (the entire day is a whole other challenge) is to arm myself with some fast-working, quick-fixing beauty solutions. Here’s what I’ve come up with:
To combat my poor puffy peepers: A’Kin White Tea & Cornflower, Soothing & Relaxing Eye Day Gel, followed by Estée Lauder Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator.
To combat my lackluster complexion: Juice Organics Brightening Moisturiser, followed by Clinique Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator.
To combat my dry lips: Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup Sugar and Butter Lip Duo.
To combat my aching muscles: GOANNA Heat Cream.

Do you ever have days where you just feel really ‘blah’? What are your quick pick-me-ups?

Akin eye gel is amazing! I love The Purist Companys' whole range especially their Sandalwood & Neroli, Pure Facial Cleansing Gel which is gentle and smells divine.Currently using Alchemy hair products also.
Love the products for the excellent quality and value for money but what initially attracted me was their use of natural ingredients, beautiful fragrances, vegan friendly and the fact the products are made in Oz....what more can you ask for.
I'd love to work for the company because I believe so strongly in their ethics!

Today is my blah day. I'll be adding some shimmer to my eyelids to make me look more awake, and a pink blush and highlight on my cheekbones as it makes me feel prettier. As for my headache, only Nurofen is going to help that. :o/

Ahhh that's about me every morning Deb. So It's off to the shower, then cleanser, toner, moisturise and reaches for my Garnier Roll-On concealer....wow that surely does make your eyes look as if they have come alive. Head for a cuppa then reaches for the tens machine.
Likes the idea of the Clinique Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator though.

Definitely having a blah kind of day today! Was getting used to this sunshine and now it's dark, wet and miserable outside. I've tried heaps of products in the Akin/Alchemy range but haven't tried this eye gel as yet. I'm after a new eye cream atm and this might be exactly what I need! Think I might make myself a cup of tea and pop on a face mask and try and feel a little less blah. Hope you're feeling less blah Deb. Those products sound like they would of done the trick :)

I find that Clarins Beauty Flash can help me fake a bit of radiance, and an eyelash curler can make my eyes look like they are awake, even if I'm having trouble keeping them open!

My blah days are when I have to get up early, I'm NOT a morning person lol :) I don't really have a pick me up product, i just try to make myself look less dead with the help of makeup of course but that's about it!!

A quick pick-me-up on the blah days (or any day for that matter!) is to cleanse my face and eat breakky (usually with a cup of tea). Brushing my hair and squirting it with water also quickly 'does' my hair until I can grab more time to do it properly. I feel awful if I haven't 'done' my brows too - so that's a pretty quick pic-me-up as well, even if I don't have any other make-up on.

Yep I get it heaps especially when Im indoors and in front of the comp for most hours. If im not wearing makeup a splash of water will do the trick. When Im wearing makeup then its abit of powder, blush and shimmer. I also get the circulation going by pulling funny faces lol I dont think you want to do that in the office hehe

when i wake up with puffy eyes, which happens a lot, i put a couple of tea spoons in the freezer for a couple of minutes, then place the back of the spoons on my eyes, it helps the puffiness to ease.
I also use the Goanna cream for pains and aches, i think it's one of the best creams around.

A spritz of a hydrating facial mist always lifts the senses and leaves my face cool and refreshed. It also delivers extra nourishment to salvage dull, dehydrated skin, especially if you have been in the air conditioning. I also like to keep an eye cream in the fridge as it is a nice soothing boost to puffy, tired eyes and is a great way to mask signs of a late night or two, lol.

Blah days are all to common, love your suggestions here the Akin eye gel sounds lovely! My pick me up is mental... I just get up work through what I have to have done and try to stay focused, that way as step by step everything is done I feel like I have accomplished great things even in my blah state, lol. GIves the energy to keep on going! I agree with Mel a spritz is always nice I also love a great moisturiser and some essential oils to lift my looks and spirits :)
