Fine lines and large pores and wrinkles – oh my! If this somewhat terrifying trifecta is getting a bit too close for comfort then no, it’s not time to book an appointment with the cosmetic surgeon on the corner of Forever Young Crescent and Say Goodbye To Your Expressions Street. Especially not if you’re wanting to head down the path of more naturals and less nasties.

So that being said, let me tell you a bit about a brand called Puretopia. The company is Australian made and owned, and its products are packed full of hard-working, active natural ingredients that help to deliver essential nutrients to the skin and hair – without the use of synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulfates, artificial colours, phthalates, propylene glycol, DEA, TEA or silicones.

Which means you can look and feel your best, and age in the most graceful way possible, safe in the knowledge that you’re not putting any nasties in your body.

One fab age-fighting product in the Puretopia range is its Pure Nutrition Anti-Oxidant & Omega Oils Essential Facial Serum. It may be a bit of a mouthful by name, but by nature it couldn’t make anti-ageing any easier. It’s formulated with top of the line naturally active ingredients such as Arctic berries and argan oil, as well as a multitude of vitamins and antioxidants to help minimise any pre-existing signs of ageing, and prevent against future damage.

Plus it comes complete with a stainless steel tri-roller massaging applicator (hello quick and easy application!) that helps to cool and energise your skin, while ensuring that all the active goodies are well absorbed.

WIN! Sound like something you want to get your hands on? We’ve got 25 Puretopia Pure Nutrition Anti-Oxidant & Omega Oils Essential Facial Serum to give away! But that’s not all – you could also win one of five Puretopia prize packs each containing a Pure Nutrition Anti-Oxidant & Omega Oils Essential Facial Serum, an Instant Moisture Skin Quenching Protecting Daily Face Moisturiser SPF 15, a Soft & Smooth Hydrating & Skin Plumping Body Lotion, and a Whisk Away Rehydrating & Moisturising Creamy Face Cleanser.

For your chance to win, simply tell us in the comments section of this blog, why you want a skin care regimen that’s more natural and less nasty.

Competition ends midnight Friday 14th October 2011.

because i think it pays off in the long run.. nasty chemicals in products may make me look younger now, but they will definately affect my skin in the long run, in a bad way.. natural products should be everyones #1 choice!

Because skin care is my main concern as I tend to have reddish skin and need quality products that can help the texture and give me great results.

For so many years I have been a slave to botox and the many harsh chemicals in products that promise miracles and really all I need is results, I have found that the natural ingredients that are taking the world by storm are really amazing and are giving incredible results. I'd rather tell people that I'm using natural, innovative products that don't cause damage than to say I'm using Botox which sounds really nasty and is truly nasty!

This is My skin. Its a living and breathing thing so stands to reason that its best to use natural products on it. It times your skin can be very forgiving but it needs to last you a lifetime and I want mine to look its best for as long as possible. Natural is the way to go for me.

i think its incredibly important to using natural products not only for our skin but for the environment. i've seen and heard of beauty products lifting polished floors and things and think how can that be safe on our faces

Skin is pure and natural so why would you put something chemical and unnatural on it? There are enough chemical environmental aggressors out there!

I want to preserve what my hair has. I don't want the condition to deteriorate so easy and non-harsh is definitely the way to go.

I deal with the public everyday so I need to look my best. I don't always feel my best so having a good skin care regime is essential. I will definitley look into these products.

I was recently given a brand to try for a 2 week period off a friend who was selling it and wanted another opinion - i winced whenever i tried it - but i persevered and by the end of it i was somewhat pleased with the results - but the smell - OMG it smelt like a chemical plant stuck in a bottle ..it smelt so opposite to the natural products i was used to that i gave the product back even after being told i could keep it - natural products are gentle, soft and smell so wonderful it just takes you away from the world for a second and you feel like you are picking flowers and tiptoe-ing through tulips - the benefits of natural over chemical is just too obvious .... if you stick unnatural stuff on your skin then i feel you will have an unnatural outcome eventually - i say GO MUMMA NATURE ...........

As my skin is changing due to ageing (not the best part of getting older I must admit), I have become more aware of the great benefits natural ingredients provide especially as more and more companies are using these wonderful ingredients. Nasty ingredients are not required any more so a more natural skincare regime is the way to go for me.

If you are applying something to your skin twice daily you dont want all the nasty ingredients like parabens, petrochemicals, sulfates etc accumulating in or damaging your skin when you apply it. You only want positive effects from your skin care not short term niceness long time damage and dryness.
Im going to look after my skin well now and reap the benefits in all the long years i have ahead of me.

Too much of anything can be bad for you. Its the same with makeup - a natural alternative would be great!

Natural skin care is a better choice because at least you know what you are putting into your body. Natural skincare is much healthier for your skin and causes less breakouts and irritations. Chemicals in products cause damage too your skin and health. You wouldn't eat chemicals would you? So why put them on your skin.

Its good for the environment and for me,

I want my skin to be as healthy as possible because it's the biggest body organ, and dont want to use products with nasty chemicals.

I want my skin to glow and look naturally beautiful, harsh chemicals go against this, so natural skincare is really the way to go.

Because the nasties seem to make my skin react badly!! and I find putting chemicals on my skin could only do damage! I dont see how alcohol and things is bad for our insides but ok in skin care regimes doesnt seem to quiet add up to me!

I would prefer the nasty chemicals to NOT soak into my blood stream!

Why have short term results and have chemicals circulating my body when I can benefit from the long term effects of less nasty, natural skincare which doesn't cause harm to me? Obviously natural is the way everyone should go :)

To be honest, skin care ingredients that sound like they came out of the Nutty Professor's lab are best avoided in my opinion! So an anti-aging skin care range lilke Puretopia without all the usual suspects is one that sounds perfect for my sensitive and I admit it, wimpy skin. Natural beats nasty any day!

I will be 50 next year and so far my skin has been burnt, scrubbed, bleached, tanned, plucked, tweezed, squeezed, scratched, neglected, sun-protected, ignored, restored, hydrated, peeled.... ENOUGH!! Time to give my poor skin a rest and a treat - mother nature always gets it right and it is never too late to go back to nature and let it work its magic!

I think the key to natural beauty is in that sentence NATURAL, skin loves to be pampered without chemicals.

The more natural of anything is better I think because the less toxins or contaminants that our bodies have to rid themselves of, the stronger our natural immunities are and so the stronger our bodies are in general. Even when it comes down to beauty care products I think it's beneficial for our bodies to be in contact with more of 'what's meant to be' than 'what's not meant to be'.
