A little too oily and no SPF

I used to use this moisturiser years ago when it contained SPF 25. My skin then used to really glow and people commented on how lovely my skin was. Sorry to say nowadays there is something lacking in the formula and no SPF for a day cream. Let's face it we pay enough for it so why then pay for an SPF cream as well. It still has some good ingredients but it doesn't perform like it used to.

Too Heavy

I received this as a gift, I don't really go much on it as it's too heavy for my skin and I feel as though my skin can't breathe. It's such a shame though as I love the other products. The smell isn't very nice also.

Simply the Best

Have used this product for some time. Did have dry skin like cracked crazed old china but this fabulous product has solved all my facial skin problems.

mum loves this..

Not for me as i find it a bit too heavy and i don't like the smell.
But my mum loves it and she has been using it for years.
Make sure you wear sunscreen all the time if you go out in the sun whilst using this moisturiser , as it has the highest dose of vitamin A you can get without a prescription so your more likely to get burnt and it desfeats the purpose of moisturising because the sun is the biggest wrinkle giver of all :)

great

i used this product last year and i really liked it. i used it daily on my dry skin and it absorbed quickly. made my skin so soft and smooth. i will repurchase this again

Too Greasy

Used this cream twice now just to try it again after a few years and had the same result- too greasy and leaves a residue, especially on the neck- it kind of peels. If i put powder foundation on top of this it doesnt sit on top well at all. Smell is also quite off.

FANTASTIC !!

I have been using this cream for yars, I first bought it off an infomercial when i was in my 20's. I'm now in my 40's and can't believe how good my skin is, I have very few wrinkes and it has nothing to do with genes or lifestyle as my sisters all look older than me. I am convinced it is Dr LeWinn's. It is a rich luxurious cream that absorbs very well and leaves no residue on my skin, it has a natural SPF and a non perfumed scent. A tad expensive but lasts for ages. I love it!!

Too heavy

I have used several sample sized pots of this cream. I found it extremely heavy and didn't like the smell much. This may just be because I have combination skin, but it was far too rich for my use. It worked well when my skin was very dry from the cold, but otherwise not suitable for my skin type. It was also okay on my neck as a night cream, but I would not wear this during the day as it felt too sticky and heavy with lots of residue for day use.

Excellent

I have used this product for years. It is the best moisturiser. It sinks right in, leaves skin feeling so nourished and soft and my skin in general looks great. I have tried moisturisers more expensive than this but not as good. I love it!

Great value

I started using Dr Lewinn when my Mum gave me a pack for Xmas - I love their products! This cream has a nice consistency and rubs in well with no white streaks. It's slightly oily on my skin (which is oily anyway) but it's not unpleasant and should be fantastic in Winter, as my skin gets a little dry then. You get a LOT of product for the price, so if you want value, this is perfect.

Too harsh for my skin

I have found this moisturiser to be way to harsh and heavy on my skin. I have used other products in this range too but have found the same thing. I have slightly sensitive skin, so it wasn't a good fit for me. I think there are other brands for the same price that work better for me.

free sample

I received this as a free sample, was so impressed I went and bought it. Bit shocked at the price at first, but I put it on my 'want from Christmas List" and received a jar from the kids for Christmas. This will last me a few months. It pumped up my skin and it also a great moisturiser to use under make-up. I have sensitive skin and had no reaction as others have stated.

Light but effective daily moisturiser

I used to use this moisturiser all the time, and have only recently gotten back into it. I really liked it back then, and still do now! It's light, but keeps my skin feeling soft all day!

It loses a star, for me, because it's kind of pricey... and also because it has a weird smell. I don't really care about the scent of things, but this one isn't appealing at all.

Great day moisturiser

I first received a sample of this moisturiser and now I buy it and use it daily along with the Firming Eye Cream. Makes my skin so soft and is not greasy. Suits my skin perfectly.

Use it everyday its fabulous !

I have been using this moisturizer for 3yrs now , its fantastic alot of people have said im looking younger , it makes my skin feel very soft .

day cream

I am trying a few different products so went to the chemist and asked about Dr lewin products and the assistant gave me samples to try. This moisturiser felt good the first day but after a week it is too oily for my skin, just sits on top and doesnt absorb. I think it would be better to use during winter when my skin is less oily. Not too crazy about the smell

Smooth skin

My skin absorbed this cream straight away and didn't leave an oily residue. It felt nice and makeup went on smoothly afterwards. I felt it working, and my skin felt nourished, protected and hydrated.

moisturiser

Dr Lewinns is one of my favourite brands. I love their R4 range and their exfoliants. This moisturiser though left a lot to be desired. My skin is dry and ageing and I really need a rich emollient cream to quench my skin. It would be suitable for oily skin types or younger skin that does not require much moisture.

Smooths the wrinkles

After 15 years of using the same product, I received a sample pot of the Day cream and cannot believe the difference it makes on the face and neck. I live in the tropical north, so it will be interesting to see if it copes with summer humidity, but it does feel good. Plumps up the skin and looks healthy and glowing.

Not bad.

This moisturiser is great for me in winter when my skin is drier. In summer months it tends to be too greasy for me. It is a huge tub and as I only used it in winter & I still had a LOT left over. Would probably do for a couple of winters but I wonder about the packaging though. Most products with Retinol come in pump packs or measured tubes to stop the product from degrading and becoming useless. Scent and texture of cream are nice but it is not one that I would buy again due to the packaging and that I can only use it in winter.

way too heavy for me

as a day cream this was too heavy for my skin - it always left it with a kind of oil slick look. it is very think in consistency so i found that it made a better night cream

Good product

HUGE tub! Will last for ages. Skin feels comfortable after use, never dry. Good everyday cream and good value. Not a wonder product, but can't flaw it.

I love Dr Lewinns but found this day cream too oily for my skin. I couldnt get it to absorb into my skin to put makeup over the top.

Dr LeWinn's Day Cream Moisturiser

I won this product in a competition. It seems to plump up my skin, but I can't use it every day as I get a reaction to it. However, once every two days (alternating with a very plain generic moisturiser) does the trick. My skin seems smoother and shinier, and I'm sure it's the Dr LeWinn's doing the good work.

The best!

This is one of my favorite moisturisers. It's great for dry, flaky skin. It's super moisturising and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It is expensive, but a jar lasts about 6 months, so in my opinion it's pretty good value.
