Not for me

I didn't like the residue or feeling like something was sitting on my skin following cleansing with this product. It did not properly remove my makeup and I had to over compensate by using it multiple times and it felt gluggy on my skin. I was left disappointed. I should state that there was no irritation from this product, it simply did not suit my combination/sensitive skin type.

Disappointed.

Has good ingredients but it is not an efficient facial cleanser as it still leaves residue makeup on the skin after a single use. It's very expensive and I wouldn't buy it again as there are much better cleansers on the market and at much more reasonable prices.

Love it!

The best cleanser I've used, removes my make up and leaves me feeling nice and fresh. I usually go for a foaming cleanser, but this cream cleanser is wonderful. I use this night and day.

Had better.

To remove make-up you must apply to a DRY face and then wash off.
Wasn't using it properly at first so was very dissapointed when it didn't take off anything. After applying to a dry face and washing off i found that it did do a good job at removing my foundation etc, but i use an eye make-up remover as i find it gets too messy if i try to take off my eye makeup with it as well.
Nice gentle cleanser, but i do prefer foaming ones.

Great Cleansing

Dr LeWinn's Gentle Facial Cleanser is great for deep down grime even though it is a gentle formula. As usual Dr LeWinn's formula has come through. Highly recommendable product only downside is the price. I have only had one bottle because of my beauty budget. Such is life, hints at Mother's day, birthday's and xmas always a good idea.

Dissapointing buy.

I was really excited to try this cleanser mainly because it is gentle and contained products I like. When I tried it on my skin for the first time I was disappointed, it didn't lather at all because the product had such a runny consistency and it smelt so bad. Yes it is true to it's words about being a gentle cleanser but in saying that it doesn't cleanse the skin that well at all. It is good for just wanting a quick refreshment though.

Great for removing makeup

This product removes makeup very effectively and soothes dry or eczema skin. I didn't like the smell, though - it was quite oily in smell. The texture is nice and smooth and it feels great on eczema or if you're having a day with dry skin. Safe and not irritating on the eyes - I have used it many times to remove make up, but I would still follow with another cleanser to clean my face more effectively. Overall, I found this product soothing for my skin, but not terribly effective at actually cleansing it.

Not sure

I am just starting to use Dr Lewinns products, and most of them I am liking, but I am not sure about this one. My first try was "Oh no, not a cream cleanser. I should have known better". But then each time, I used it I liked it a little more and it certainly is gentle, and not irritating to my sensitive skin.

Great product!

I wasn't sure I'd like this at first because normally cream cleansers do nothing for my acne-prone skin, but I found this one to be quite good. It doesn't leave my skin feeling clogged like others. I use it in the morning, rather than at night, as I don't think it would make a good night cleanser. I like it because it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean before moisturising.

Dishing out the Dirt on this Cleanser

This product fell far beyond expectation.It does not do as the product claims – it doesn’t cleanse well, and it does not remove makeup. It didn’t do anything in terms of cleansing my skin and removing dirt, and because of these reasons, I have given it a low rating of 2 stars. I have combination skin and do use long wearing foundation but I still feel that at $35 it should have performed better.

Leaves skin a little oily

I prefer cleansers that leave your skin feeling very clean. This product is ok for the morning, but i didn't find it removed makeup completely, so i did not use at night. Leaves skin a little oily, but not so bad if you use a good toner after.

Dr LeWinn Cleanser

Nice cleanser, suitable for my slightly dry and sensitive skin. Left my skin feeling clean and fresh. Didn’t manage to clean away all my make-up. Wasn’t left with any residue. Wasn’t as impressed with the cleanser as with other products I have tried by Doctor LeWinn. Would prefer to use other cleansers over this one. Didn’t see any miraculous results.

Good gentle 'light weight' cleanser

I do love using this cleanser when I feel like my skin needs some pampering as it leaves my face so soft and supple. However, if I have been wearing heavy/longlasting make up I just don't feel like it is really up for the job and end up using make up removing face wipes instead (different brand).

Dont like this .

This would be the only product out of the few that i have tried that i dont like at all !!! It made my skin feel greasy left like a film on my face ewwwww ... Made my skin break out as well !!

Disappointed with it

I got it for free so thought I'd give it a go, used it for a while but had to stop because it just wasn't cleaning my face well at all! It claims to remove makeup but it didn't do anything like that at all. The consistency was a bit too creamy and just didn't feel nice on face/hands. I decided to give it to my mum and she said the same thing, it wasn't working for her at all. So it was returned to me and it just sits under the sink because no one wants to use it...Lucky I didn't pay for it!

smelly

Im a real lover of Dr Lewinns products but this one im not quite sure. Its a very creamy cleanser with a horrid smell if im going to put something near my nose i want it to smell ok. While it did clean my skin ok i always feel that cream cleansers dont work as good as lathering ones as they always feel slippery. Over all if there was nothing else available at time of purchase i would buy again.

Great morning cleanser

I bought this to try out as I bought the gentle face polishing gel which I loved, and also the colder weather tends to dry out my skin. The texture is like a creamy lotion so it feels quite soothing when you massage it my skin. The smell is ok, I don't think its fragranced but it has the smell from the aromatherapy extracts which smells a little like wet tree bark but doesn't bother me at all. Cleansing-wise its very hydrating - I have to use warm water because I think if I used cold there would be a bit of product residue on my face. Also it doesnt really work as a make up remover. It didn't really remove all my foundation, and I just couldn't remove any mascara with this at all, but as a morning cleanser its really good. Very gentle, as it says and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and very soft.

excellent

I have been using this in conjunction with the puressence day & night fluid and have had excellent results. The cleanser is excellent for removing make up and always leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. This is by far one of the best cleansers I have ever used.

Love Dr Lewinn

I love all Dr Lewinns product and this one is just great too. Not too heavy yet still gets the makeup off without a lot of scrubbing.

not that cleansing

I found that this cleanser was too gentle - I would still have makeup on my face (particularly eyeliner) and my face didn't feel very fresh or clean. It did leave my skin quite soft though.

Fresh and clean

I did like the smell of this product and it felt great on my face, nice and creamy, gentle but deep cleansing. Its reasonable value for money. I used toner and serums and moisturisers after, and all went on nicely.

Gentle Facial Cleanser

I was interested in trying this cleanser but was a bit skeptical beacuse I could not find a list of ingredients anywhere. I checked the Dr Lewinns webite and it only lists the key ingredients which leaves me feeling like there must be something to hide if they can't list them all. Also why is there no ingredient list on the product itself? Anyway down to the nitty gritty, the cleansing part. I am not that fussed with the overall results of this clenser, it just didn't leave my face feeling that clean. It also left my face with an oily residue which I would rather avoid as my skin is oily enough as it is. I also had to cleanse twice which I normally do not do, as it didn't remove all of my stubborn makeup. At the end of the day I probably wouldn't bother re-purchasing this cleanser as I was not satisfied with the results and I can definately find a cheaper one that will do the job better than this one will.

Usually a huge fan but...

Love all other products from DL - but this one is ho-hum. The smell is a bit weird and it doesn't do the best job of taking off eye-makeup (although it says it will)

Dr Le Winns Facial Cleanser

I usually love Dr Le Winns products. I always buy the promo packs that come out. But this cleanser does'nt lather and when you tone your face excess makeup still comes off on the cotton wool. You pay a lot for a Dr Le Winns product so I think you should expect a lot.

Gentle Facial Cleanser

At first I was rather keen to try this product as anything with yummy natural ingredients really catches my interest and this one with Aloe Vera Gel, apricot, wheatgerm, almond & avocado oils was no exception. Unfortunately I found this cleanser far too heavy and emollient for my combination skin. It smelled wonderful and felt very nourishing whilst I was using it but it was very hard to rinse or towel off and because of this it didn't leave my skin feeling as clean as I would have liked. I've used other cream cleansers before which I have loved but this one would be better for drier more mature skin types who don't mind the residue it leaves behind. The pros with this is that it is mostly natural ingredients and contains beneficial anti-ageing ingredients such as Vitamin A & E and is an Australian brand, the cons are that I don't believe it's suitable for all skin types as it claims on the packaging and the RRP price of $32.95 may be a little steep for such basic, fairly inexpensive ingredients. On the plus side, my husband who has a dry, sensitive skin type really like this cleanser so I'm satisified it's getting put to good use with him!!

Dr.LeWinns Facial Cleanser

I really liked the smell of this product and the way it made my skin feel, however, it didn't really help with acne or anything. I would of preferred it lathered also, as I cleanse in the shower it sort of went to a milk and was hard to use

Middle of the road

I used this in conjunction with the Dr LeWinn's toner, and although I have no complaints about the products, I found they didn't get the results I wanted, particularly around my oil t-zone and enlarged pores. Glycolic still seems to be the way to go...

Does the job

I usually love Dr Lewinns products, but this one I thought could be better. I usually like cleansers with a bit of lather, which this one doesn't have. Doesn't leave my skin feeling especially soft or nice. However, still cleanses well, and is worth using.
