The Classic Scrub that works

I've been using this ever since I was 5, I would sneak a dollop from the bathroom cabinet. It has worked so well as the grains are not too fine and not too harsh, leaving the skin perfectly exfoliated. It smells delicious and just like apricots. It lathers well so a little goes a long way making the product very good value for money. On the "blemish control" side it does fight blemishes however be sure to use it only once or twice a week as it can be very drying, stripping skin of natural oils.

Love!

I have been using this scrub since i was 11! It has kept my skin clean & fresh for years! Granted that it can be harsh on the skin f you scrub to hard its still a great product, I found that if you use a small amount and rub very gently in circular motions and splash with cold water its perfect!

fantastic

this is a great product, if you use in moderation, i suggest using this every other day or even once a week depending on your skin type. it worked well for me so i im able to use it every second day, it leaves my skin so smooth and visibly it reduced my pores. and also it smells great!

Way too harsh - absolutely terrible product

This scrub is honestly one of the most harshest roughest facial scrubs I have ever come across in my life. Bits of nut shells for exfoliation? i was shocked. I even tried it a few times to be sure, I tried using it as lightly and gentle as I could. but the texture is SO rough and it leaves your skin red raw. It even felt like it was going to cause abrasions or bleeding on my skin. I don't know how this scrub made it into a bottle for a facial product. I threw this out because it was that bad. The texture and consistency of it was jsut ridiculous, it was literally so rough and harsh that it was acutally PAINFUL to use.

Good exfoliant, albeit slightly harsh

Quite effective for exfoliation, I use it around 2 times a week since I think it's a bit harsh for daily use! The claims about blemish control is a bit dubious, since it's only staying on your skin for a few moments - but this product is quite decent for exfoliation. Smell is also very nice.

Great scrub

This is a really great all round exfoliator with a subtle apricot scent and creamy texture. While it helps maintain fresher and clearer looking skin it may be a little harsh for every day use. A suggestion that is may be better suited for people with less sensitive skin as it can be quite abrasive.

Great Exfoliator but abit drying

The scrub is a grainy (sand like) creamy which is great for exfoliating. This scrub is great for removing dead skin and blackheads but it is very drying and harsh when used too frequently.

Found it best when used once or twice a week and moisturising is a must.
But as for me, my skin is sensitive and easily breakouts so i found it best to use it once a week, gently and not scrub too hard.

One of my favourite facial scrubs!

This is truely a great facial scrub! If you up for trying something knew this is a great product to try! Makes my skin feel so fresh and clean, really does give it a good scrub down. Have tried all the st.ives facial scrubs, this one is by far the best!

Softer and smoother skin

I've heard a lot about this scrub before i finally bought it, and i must say it is the perfect product to add to your skincare routine. Using 1-3 times a week will give you fresher, brigher skin! The smell is very pleasant, and it exfoliates very well. However, just be very gentle when exfoliating because it can be a tad harsh for sensitive skin. Exfoliate by scrubbing in a light circular motion and do not add any pressure.
Overall a great product, will repurchase!

A Bargain

I've just come back to this facial scrub and I'm wondering why I ever stopped using it.
I immediately noticed the difference to my skin.
The fine granuals in the scrub are gentle and it foams up easily.
I use it a couple of times a week and its done my skin the world of good. Love that clean, feeling you get after using it.
The smell is not to over powering either just a hint of the apricot.
What I also like is that its cheap so doesn't hurt my beauty budget.

Awesome if you don't use it too much

I find that my normal-combo (oilier T-zone) skin can only handle this product once a week (occasionally twice, but not consistently), because otherwise I just start breaking out and my skin gets worse. However, it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and it does work at keeping your skin in good condition. I just cant do 3 times a week like it instructs. :P

Better than the original

I have used the original formulation of this product for years and found myself trying this out when my skin was behaving particlarly badly. The scrub helps to clear blocked pores meaning I get less breakouts and existing pimples start to disappear after use.

My HG Exfoliator

This product is amazing at getting rid of my blackheads and clearing dead skin cells.
The size of the bottle is very generous and since it is recommended to use once a week, I find that this lasts me for almost a year!
I love the smell of this product and the fact that it contains natural ingredients is a major plus for me
Definitely have recommended it to a lot of my friends and I have only heard of positive remarks! Well done st. ives

BIB – Bye bye blackheads…

Delighted to see two of St. Ives scrubs nominated this year. This one is my weapon against blackheads. My face is 56 years old, and from time to time I still suffer from the dreaded black spots – so I trot out my blemish fighting scrub a couple of times a week for a month, and send them packing. I think it’s the salicylic acid that does the trick, and yet this scrub doesn’t make my skin dry or upset the natural ph balance. Love the apricot fragrance and how smooth it makes my face feel, and considering this is what I would call a treatment product, the price is excellent.

Effective but harsh

I cannot help but like this scrub.

Bottom line - it works. Very well.

The issue? It's probably too harsh. It's full of ground up apricot shells. While I undserstand the appeal of a scrubby scrub, my skin reacts better and looks younger from a more gentle scrub, one with moisture added.

This one is very well suited to hands and feet.

Amazing! If i ever have a break out it instantly dries out the blemish. Is probably the harsest out of the various types of scrubs St Ives sell but I love it.

Good if you wear make up all day or have had a sweaty gym sess. Cleans off any build up of make up or moisturiser from the night before. Skin is soft and keeps pimples away.

I love you but I hate you.

I highly enjoy this scrub as it has a lovely Apricot scent to it and is a very good exfoliator that leaves the skin clean and soft, given you use it sparingly and very occasionally. It is a little too harsh for my sensitive skin and the beads are a little too big for my liking -- I prefer a face scrub with smaller beads in it. But it works wonders as a body scrub!

I used to love you..

I used to love this product in till i heard its actually so BAD for your skin and it is only a temp hide away for blemishes.

amazing product!

Smells so nice and easy to use. Easy to scrub onto the face in the shower and easy to wash off. My skin was feeling so dry because of winter but after using it 3 times a week so far, my skin is so soft.

A little rough

I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I found this exfoliator to be a little rough. I would not recommend using this often. However, it does do a good job and smells really nice.

Amazing!

After using many types of differnt face washes for my pimples I thought Clearasil was working. But a friend told me its not really good for your face and it was why my face was so dry.
She told me to use this, and thats all I use now!
My face isnt dry and my pimples are actually gone!
I use it about 3 times a week, and you dont need to use that much so it lasts so long!

Gotta Love St Ives!!

I do love this scrub!!
It has a nice, sheer scent to it. It comes out of the tube as quite a grainy, orangey paste. Although, I do think that the beads in it may be just a little bit too big. It's got a lovely consistency and it's very easy to dispense of the product.
In terms of blemish eliminating, it could have done better. I found that it didn't really decrease my spots, but it did leave my skin incredibly soft which was delightful. I use it about 3 times a week and that seems to work wonderfully.
Overall, it isn't my favourite scrub, but still is great for the price!! (:

One of the best products for Acne control on the market!

Use only once a week and don't scrub too hard as you will leave abrasions on your skin. Make sure you slather lots of your favourite moisturiser (for sensitive skin) on afterwards.

Awesome!

I reckon this scrub is great if you DON'T use it regularly for your face. I mostly used it to ex-foliate my hands, feet and body and it works GREAT! Leaves my skin feeling smooth and softer.

However, I found that if I use it on my face everyday, it started to dry out my skin. So now I use it when my face is really grimey and oily--it's brilliant!

Very scrubby

This smellls nice and exfoliates well but it's really harsh on my skin. You can feel all the walnut shells and other exfoliants and they are really big. I would prefer a scrub that had more smaller beads in it. Great as a body scrub though... :)

exfoliating ESSENTIAL

I use this product 4 times a week, it has a very fresh pleasant scent so it is always a joy to use. After trying many different facial scrubs to help remedy my frequent breakouts, I bought this scrub 3 years ago and have been using it ever since. It has helped improve my skin texture and clarity because it does a great job of cleaning out pores. Alongside the scrub, I also use cleanser and acne cream.
I have normal skin but sometimes I find it a bit too harsh in winter when my face can be really sensitive. For those with sensitive skin, you just have to scrub more gently. Also, the product is really helpful for those emergencies when you need to remove fake tan so be warned- a little goes a long way, it can be quite gritty and can cause redness if you scrub too hard! It is non-drying though, non-sticky and easy to wash off and leaves skin super soft and refreshed.

top stuff

Favourite scrub

I use this product a few times a week, to help clean and revitalise my skin. I target the areas on my face and neck that need the most attention, rather than using it as an all-over scrub. It smells pleasant, and isn't harsh on the skin. Really good product.

Like a baby's bottom

As you can see from the title, after using this my skin feels SO soft and like a baby's bottom! It smells like apricots - so natural and no chemically smell. It is a little b9it too harsh for my skin but what i do is while using a gentle hand i exfoliate my skin and every so often i would add a bit more water to my fingers. I find this doesn't make it too harsh. As for clearing up my acne, i don't see much of a difference unfortunately but it does clean my pores very well and there is SO much product in one bottle! I recommend it for people with milder acne as for people with raging acne it will anger your pimples more and cause redness.

Beautiful scent, too harsh/irritating for sensitive skin

I was initially drawn to this product by its amazing herbal scent - it really is lovely! Unfortunately after only one application of this product my skin became so red and irritated and felt like it was burning for several hours. I found the granules too big and harsh for my sensitive skin and will never use this again on my face - might test it as a body exfoliator or give it away. Very disappointing.

Great!

When i first started using it mu skin cleared up in under a week! But that was because i was using it every day, i realized i as probably doing my skin because its a harsh exfoliant, so now i use it less frequently but every time i use it my skin fees and looks so clean i love the days i use it becuase my skin just looks breat after i use it!

Refreshing & Smell's lovely!!!

I have quite bad black heads of and on and as soon as I started using this product every time I shower and find it quite refreshing and It hepls keep me from having horrable break out's and helps my oily skin settle down quite abit. I feel the apricot beads are very affective and breakdown great to give me a clean and smooth face and love the smell totaly.

Love this Scrub

I love this scrub, I have quite sensitve skin, but dont find this too harsh at all, in fact if i dont use it every day, my skin just doesn't feel clean. Reduces blackheads, exfoliates your skin leaving it super soft. I also use this product on my body, I suffer from Keratosis Pilaris and find this helps reduce the bumps.

Way too harsh - ok as a body scrub

My face gets quite oily if I haven't washed it once a day yet this scrub still managed to make my skin really dry are using it 2 -3 times a week. After about 3 weeks of putting up with it, I had to retire this and now only use it once a month on my feet (and then throughly moisturise them). It's way too harsh. The exfoliating bits are really rough, it does not feel nice on your face at all. I've since found much gentler natural exfoliants to use on my face (with much smaller bits of walnut).

very harsh!

I had high hopes for this scrub, but was disappointed. This was very harsh, especially the apricot pieces. Definitely not for sensitive skin, and I wouldn't want to use it as a daily cleanser! I've started using it once a week, but even then it still seems to dry out my skin and make it blemish-prone. Not for me.

Skin so smooth afterwards

When you first apply this product it feels a bit harsh on your skin but just gentally scrub your face with it and it will leave your skin feeling I indredibly smooth afterwards.

Love it

It might feel a little rough the first time (what doesn't?) but this product is really great. It uses natural products and deeply exfoliates the skin leaving it soft and smooth. Very good at reducing oil, too.

I have been using St Ives scrubs for a few years now. It has a light and fresh scent, and i love the exfoliants. Just make your your gentle when exfoliating and don't scrub the bajeebahs out of your skin. If you find this scrub a bit too harsh, i do remember using the scrub for 'sensitive' skin i think and that one had microbeads as the exfoliant.

It really works for me!

i only bought this the other day, and it brought up my existing blemishes drawing out the oil and junk, and now they are going away!!

awesome product

it smells great, leaves my skin soft and i didnt find the scrub too harsh. recently i found out that i had sensitive skin and when i used to use the scrub it seemed alright, it didnt really get rid of acne but it did remove a lot of the oil from my skin.

Apricot Scrub

I bought this product because i really love St Ives and i have pimples. BUT i was very dissapointed beacuse its more of a scrub and i noticed that it just made my pimples even worse.

Great scrub

Value for money

I think for less than $10 this is the best scrub. It doesn't make your skin dry but at the same time sucks up all the extra oil and gives you a clean, clear and fresh looking face.

4 and a half to be exact :)

I love this scrub. The only problem is i'm not very consistent to my beauty routine so if i skip a day, pimples will come back. I don't think it is doing anything to my blackheads but it is a little drying (not sure if this is due to St Ives or Garnier Toner).

great product

this is definitely a necessity in my skin care routine as i love the feel it gives after you use it. the grains are just harsh enough to make it feel like your skin is getting a good exfoliation and it smells great too.

Rough and tough does the trick!

Loveeee this! It's rough on skin as it has what feels like sand in it, but it really does the job for people with oily skin like myself

Rough with great results

This has tough granuals that dig deep into the pores removing the yucky blemishes and also removes the dead skin to leave fresh clean skin. This is a great product in its price range. My sister tried this who has sensitive skin and she was left with blisters. She didn't scrub overly hard. So be careful!

great for low cost scrub

this was a yummy smelling scrub that worked really well. but dont over use this one as it can strip away all good oils to. great for body scrub i need something a little less course for my face.

Great Scrub

I love everything about this scrub! It smells amazing, has convenient packaging and it works. I have been using this for a few weeks after trying a sample from a magazine and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that the grains would be to harsh on my skin but rather they leave it feeling really smooth. I have been using this a few times a week and I think it is really helping the congestion around my jaw line. Great price and nice big bottle.

AMAZING PRODUCT

Twice a week I hop in the spa after applying this to my face. I leave it on for about twenty minutes. I know that in the instructions you're not supposed to use it this way, but my mother has been doing this for months now and I've seen an amazing change in her skin. I started this routine a few months back and it leaves my skin supple, soft and feeling refreshed. I love the smell and I love that it doesn't feel uncomfortable on my skin. Combined with my usual skincare routine, this stuff is a life-saver if I'm battling it out with blackheads.

Soft Smooth Skin

This is definatley one of the better facial scrubs on the market, leaves skin feeling silky soft and smooth. Not for sensitive skin however, as it is quite rough on the skin but really good for those with oily skin.

Still my favourite

I use this scrub all the time as it leaves my skin feeling baby soft! This may be because of the slightly larger (than I find usual) exfoliating particles. Even though it can be a bit harsh on my skin at times, in the end, the results are amazing. It is also very reasonably priced at less than $10, and I only need to use very small amounts each time.

Best scrub i have ever used!

So this scrub it quite abrasive, so i do not recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin. But this scrub is the first scrub was able to remove some blacheads successfully. The smell is always really awakening and the beads actually feel like they are clearing out every pore on the skin.

Smooth!

I love this product, not only has it helped with the scarring from pimples I picked at when I was younger, but I believe it has helped to prevent new ones from coming out. My skin feels beautiful again! It also smells great unlike some products you can buy for your skin!

My love

I absolutely love this product. It has done wonders for my skin. I don't recommend using it everyday though. Only when you feel your skin needs a bit of a deep clean, because if you use it everyday your skin can dry up or effected in other ways because it is a scrub so removing all your skins natural nutrients too often isn't too good.

Leaves skin smoother

This worked well as a scrub for my skin, i only used it a few times but it wasnt too harsh or rough on my sensitive skin. Was a little too drying for me, so might be good for oily types.

Awesome product

This product is great for the chest and back area if you have frequent breakouts or are rather oily in those areas. This definitely has improved the imperfections that I have on my chest (clogged pores and tiny blackheads).
It has a lovely smell to it when lathered onto the skin and leaves you feeling fresh and clean.

I love it!

Recently, after years of only getting the odd pimple here and there, I started to break out pretty badly on my forehead. I tried alotttt of things, and nothing worked, but this has been fantastic! When I first used it, I thought it was extremely gritty and that I would be left with flaky dry skin (my skin is already pretty dry), but it didn't irritate me at all. After just a few uses, my skin improved greatly. The pimples I got were much less agressive and now I don't have any! I can only use this product a few times a week, because of my dry skin, but it works! Buy it!!

AMAZING!

my face goes all red after using this.. well not my whole face, but patches :( so i use this on my legs and elsewhere. the smell is very refreshing too, and it uses glacial water or something which is cool :)

Not nice...

I found that the St Ives products due to the apricot ingrediants REALLY irritated my skin. Not recomended for skin that has lots of blemishes as the rough scrub particles in the cleansers can tear the surface of skin and inflame the blemish more...

Cheap and cheerful

This scrub smells great and leaves your skin soft and smooth, The only cons are that it can be a bit sandy and harsh, irritating sensitive skin or causing existing acne/pimples to become more inflamed. As it is cheap I use it on my arms and legs as a body exfolient before shaving or waxing. Plus it leaves you smelling fresh and fruity!

Very Happy

I've been using this product for a few months now, and I've definitely seen an improvement in my skin. I still get pimples and black heads, though mostly they show up 'monthly', but my skin has gotten so much better since I started using this stuff. I've noticed smoothing in the texture of my skin, which is nice, and the pimples that I do get are no where near as bad as they used to be. I'm sure that if I keep using this product my skin will only get better and better.

A god send

My face actually feels exfoliated and clean! It prevents breakouts and doesnt dry out my skin. The exfoliating grains are supposed to be quite harsh according to some websites but my face didnt feel at all uncomfortable after using it.

Hmm

I thought this product would be so good, due to the hundreds of rave reviews on both BH and MUA.
However, when I finally decided to try it (courtesy of my sister) it lacked, very sorely and deeply.
The exfoliation granules are too big and abrasive - so they scratch your face and it REALLY hurts. The cleanser side of it was OK. It removed my makeup and daily dirt and grime from my face, but left a strange film over it - something that toner couldn't get rid of so I actually had to rewash, not worth it in my opinion. I do like the scent tho... hahaha

an old favourite

I've been using St Ives apricot scrubs since i was about 14. I love the smell and the creaminess of them. I use this one once or twice a week and it makes my skin look so fresh and glowy. Also, the salicylic acid helps control my breakouts. I find the grains a bit scratchy but if I use it very gently i get very good results.

Food for your face!

I absolutely adore St Ives products, Especially this facial scrub. I think it's a must have exfoliator for everyone. pretty damn good

I bought this after reading some good reviews and have to say I quite like it! I use it every second day in the shower on my back face and I get a bit of millia on my arms the scrub works well for that as well! I find it very good at leaving you with baby soft skin and really gives you a deep clean. it is a little harsh so I mix it with a bit of my gel cleanser and it works a treat! it cleared a bit of my acne but it wasn't a wonder product I've bought something else now. bottom line good price, lasts ages but It didn't do that little bit extra. You might as well try the travel size!

No more blemishes

I've always loved apricot facial scrubs, and this one is my favourite of all time! It gently sloughs away my old skin cells and clears out my pores, leaving my skin smooth and blemish free. I've had very few breakouts since starting to use this product! It's not too expensive either and goes a long way.

It started off great until..

this scrub really cleared away all my blackheads from my nose, but when it ran out they returned. but on the second bottle the scrub caused a rashlike effect on my cheeks which has never quite healed :( i recomend patch testing for allergic reactions befor use.

BEST SCRUB/FACIAL CLEANER I'VE EVER USED.

This blemish control scrub works VERY WELL , it contains salycic acid which helps fight pimples and acne. Its the best for teens and people with oily or dry skin! My skin feels sooo smooth right away and it looks more radiant!

st ives apricot scrub

very coarse and harsh because its very grainy so its not great for sensitive skin. i wouldnt reccomend it for use everyday but for oily skin it works well, just dont scrub too hard. it smells like apricot and lasts for quite a while. as for blemish control there are probably more effective products with better blemish fighting ingrediients.

Mixed thoughts

I used to use this daily, until i was told the actual grains (or whatever is used as the exfoliant) were probably crused up walnut shells haha, and that they are too harsh to be used daily or at all. The best exfoliants should be very small and soft, otherwise you are shreading up your skin!!

No a big fan!

This product smells ever so lovely! Although i do find the grains to be too rough. I didnt have to rub it too hard and it already irritated my skin.
A friend of mine who has very sensitive team also tried it and felt it was too rough. She's actually completely turned off exfoliation because of this product.
Otherwise, it gives you a clean feeling and your face will smell so good afterwards!

Wonderful exfoliator, creamy and grainy

I used this in conjunction with the blemish fighting cleanser that St Ives does and my skin was so wonderfully clear when I was using them. The grains are from real apricot kernels, which I found really reassuring as I sometimes wonder what is used as the exfoliant in other scrubs. Some people might find it a little harsh, especially if they have sensitive skin, however I really like how you can feel the grains really sloughing off the dead skin. The creamy consistency is nice too. Price is quite good too.

Love it love it love it!!!

Since I bought this scrub and cleanser combo my skin has been as clear as it was when I was 8!! I have had minimal pimples/breakouts in the two weeks i have been using it.. The scrub is a really exfoliating without drying the skin. IT is PH balanced, and isnt tested on animals which is a big selling point. It is super gentle, but great quality at an affordable price.

Not my favourite!

For me, I think the scrubs in this product is too harsh. The beads are quiet big and grainy which makes it tough. It's definitely not something to be used everyday.

However, I must commend the product on its smell. So delicious and lovely! I want to eat my skin after application.

squeaky clean

like everyone here I don't feel like my face is truly clean until i've used this stuff. However I would give caution to anyone with sensitive skin contemplating using this, it's really really gritty and may be a little bit too harsh. I don't have much to compare it to but for a cheap exfoliator for oily/combination skin it's the best in any super market.

I must have really thick skin because despite the other reviews on this product, I didn't think it did a good job exfoliating. My skin felt and looked the same. I prefer the original St. Ives apricot scrub, before they started making different variants, the one that you could use as a foot scrub too. Or maybe I just have really thick skin...

St Ives Apricot Scrub

I have acne prone skin that can get oily on areas, but dry and flaky in others. After using this product my skin feels soft and fresh and most importantly, clean!! Use with St Ives oatmeal and shea butter moisturiser to add extra softness.

My favorite Facial Scrub

I love this exfoliator, it's incredibly well priced and quickly removes the dry flaky parts of my face where I have applied pimple creams religiously.

Looooooove this

This stuff is so good it almost doesn't feel like I've washed my face properly if it's a no-scrub day. Especially awesome after a big night or weekend, it's like it scrubs away any shennanigans and reveals a ready-for-monday you.

Great Product

This Product is perfect for my skin, and helps gets rid of any excess oil or dead skin, which my cleanser misses. Definately a must have in the bathroom! And cheap!

Amazing value

For under $10, this tube is great! You get a lot and it lasted ages. It smells lovely, and worked well into my face. My skin felt softer afterwards and I used it a couple of times a week. I would use this again.

Always a favourite

I've used other facial exfoliators but I always come back to this one. As with other reviews, I don't think overly sensitive/dry skin would particularly benefit from this one (try the more gentle st ives versions) but for my oily skin it's great. It feels smooth and polished without being overdried, and I can use this one to two times a week. Also great on scaly elbows and knees!

Affordable scrub and must-have!

this is great and its so affordable and you can find it at nearly every chemist, priceline and supermarkets. I like how it contains salicylic acid because my skin is quite blemish-prone and i love the refreshing scent. My skin feels extremely soft after i use this and squeaky clean without the tightness. The only drawback with this product arethe granules. They're like chunks of rocks. They are huge and might be abrasive for some which is why i resist myself from using this as a daily cleanser but just as a scrub 3 times a week. This product works and its cheap, what more could you ask for?

good all rounder

This scrub was good when i was a little younger & had more breakout prone skin. it's a little bit too much for my skin now. but was great & exfoliating & keeping skin in great condition to minimise breakouts.

Love it

This product is fantastic although can be a little rough it clears the skin leaving it squeaky clean :) One of the best exfoliators i have ever used, The only thing is you need to put on a good moisturizer after as it can be rather drying, i recommend this to anyone with acne prone skin :)

love it!

i loveeee this scrub! it is abit rough due to the large granules but it does its job well..and leaves my skin beautifully soft and is a great exfoliator to use before applying mineral makeup..it really makes my skin glow,however i only use it once a week due to the harshness.

scrubba dub dub

A mechanical scrub thats perhaps a little harsh for gentle skins types, but i loved it! Simple and pure, it left my skin clear and soft! i woudl definately buy again! also, great to use on body,espeically decollage.

Great mechanical scrub

This is a proper scrub but not harsh. I find it hard to squueze out of the bottle though and it is a bit of an effort to spread if I want to scrub my body. Smells very nice and fresh. I doubt the BHA would do anything though as it is not on skin long enough. Wish it was a bit more liquidy.

Made my skin more oily :-S

I used this product for a couple of weeks and noticed that it was way too rough fo my oily skin. It did leave my skin feeling smooth and had a nice fragrance, but it didnt really 'control' any blemishes, in fact, it made them worse! I think it would be suitable for people with normal non-sensitive skin, but since you can get travel mini's, I wasn't too heartbroken that it wasn't for me.

LOVE

This is the perfect exfoliator for me. I use it 3 times a week (its addictive). It is the perfect texture and it leaves my skin so unimaginably soft. I find i do have to be delicate when scrubbing because it can be a bit rough on my skin. I dont know how i used to live without this

Ive been using this product for a few years now and i find that it compliments my beauty routine well. It is not for people with sensitive skin tho! its quite rough and the granules are like sand. I only use it once a week and whilst it isnt very comfortable to scrub your face with it leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean and once i apply my moisturiser i feel great! Handle with care tho!

Smells Gorgeous

Maybe too much of an exfoliant

I am using this product for the second time, however find that when I start using it again, for the first couple of weeks, I get HUGE blind pimples - I don't know if this is a case of it doing a too good job, but am looking forward to finding something a bit gentler. Might use it as a body exfoliant after reading comments here.

St Ives Apricot Scrub

This is probably the most effective exfoliant I've ever used. It is 'rough' enough to do the job properly and it leaves my skin smooth and conditioned. It doesn't antagonise existing breakouts or any dry, flaky patches on my combination skin. I can't use it more than once a week though because it does stimulate oil production and my forehead in particular looks shiny and greasy. This is great for the face and body, but perhaps not the throat and neck.

Too harsh for the face

This scrub contains very large and rough particles, so it's not great for skin on the face, particularly if it's sensitive. I noticed that it was very abrasive on my face, but I use it as a body scrub in the shower and find that it's great to use on legs.

Great Product

I have been using this for over ten years now and it is an old fav. I have been using a very abrasive product that my dermatologist prescribed for my acne and the scrub is now a bit too intense for my skin. But I still use it on my body and sometimes on my face, to accelerate the pealing process.

Too harsh for anyone's skin.

Unless your skin is made of concrete, in my opinion this is not suitable for many skin types. Besides the smell being nice, the granule's are too rough which can scratch the skin. People with pimples, big NO NO. you don't want the corseness of this product to rupture the skin and interrupt the healing of pimples. That's how scarring can occur.

Works really well

I've been using this scrub for years and I must say nothing gives me a better clean of my face without completely stripping all the moisture. Its smells natural, without the chemical smell I hate. Just don't get the apricot shell (or is it walnut?) bits in your eyes.

A staple for me!

I've been using the blemish control St Ive's recently rather than the invigorating one and I'm loving this one just as much. It's oil-free and whilst the weather is hot here I'm finding this suits me much better! My skin feels fantastic after using it and it's great for any rough skin on my upper arms and chest too!!! Love it!

I've been using this on and off for years and I keep coming back to it. I love the feeling that I've really scrubbed my face, although those with sensitive skin will probably hate it! It's great for clearing out blackheads, especially on/around the nose & chin. This will always have a home in my shower!

Bit harsh

It exfoliates well but is really too harsh for my face. I heard harsh exfoliation on acne-prone skin can irritate and lead to more pimples. But i use this on my back and its good as a body exfoliator as others have said.

Rough, tough and doesnt do anything for my skin!

This peeled and irritated my skin like crazy! The apricot particles were so rough and hurt my skin heaps! It did nothing for my blackheads or pimples, and i would NOT buy it again!!

Average.

While I love the smell of this product and the coarse texture which feels like your really getting a good scrub, I didnt find it did anything for my skin. While it didnt make it worse it didnt make it better either.

Exfoliator

This is a great product if you want to exfoliate. It's a bit harsh so I wouldn't reccomend it for every day use. But once or twice a week leaves the skin feeling nice and refreshed.

The best scrub I've found

I love this scrub. I've been using it for years and it is fantastic. You can really feel it working - sloughing off those dead skin cells & oils and massaging you face as you use it. I used to have a lot of problems with acne but have really noticed the difference this has made. I would definitely recommend it. My sister used to get little bumps on her upper arms which have disappeared since using this scrub.

Blemish control apricot scrub

This scrub doen't foam up! Which is a pain because if it doesn't foam up I have to use a lot so it can cover my whole face. I like the beads though; it exfoliates and gets rid of dead skin cells. I'm currently using them as a foot scrub.

great scrub

I used this product constantly in my youth, but now I would limit it to once a week as an all over scrub, face and body. Also the secret to a GREAT shave, legs, underarm whatever. After shaving, rub in circles over the shaved area, no ingrown hairs and much smoother skin, I guarantee it! Really great for this price, good product.

You get what you pay for...

I love finding value for money products but unfortunately this is a case of getting what you pay for - I felt like my skin was being ripped to shreds and it was sensitive for several days after use. Didn't save money in the end when the product was binned after one use!

I love this as well

As well as the apricot radiance, I love this scrib. What is it about apricot that makes our skins so delicious and refreshed. The scrub is a great way to remove any dead skin cells from the top layers of your skins and should be used once a week. Work perfect with the other St Ives Products

Daily Face Scrub

One of my best friends swears by it, she uses it daily on her very oily and acne-prone skin. The exfoliation helps to control the oiliness and get rid of the old skin.

Roughing it

I agree this product is very scratchy for the face, but i don't think i've found a product around this price range that makes you feel like its really exfoliating. Its best to scrub gently - not rub it on your skin. Great body exfoliator too - packs a punch for its price really.

good value for money

This scrub is very inexpensive and you get quite a lot in the tube. It is very harsh and grainy, and wouldn't be good for sensitive skin so I only use it once a week very lightly. It smells delicious, like apricots. I find it's especially great for clearing blackheads.

Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

I've been a fan of St. Ives Invigorating Scrub for a couple of year, having oily skin I decided to give their Blemish Control Apricot Scrub ago. It was harsh & drying, it had too much salicyclic acid that it hurt my face. I didn't have any blemishes at the time, but it was so harsh it could really hurt & irritate pimples. I would suggest their other scrubs as I have found them every effective in the past.

Silky Smooth...FACE!!

This product is my absolute fave!! I started off with pimples under my skin which kind of just look like small lumps under the skin..(yuk i know). More Like It

I much prefer this product to the Invigorating Scrub as it has salicylic acid to prevent breakouts. It leaves skin feeling fresh but not for everyday use.

Love it!!

Face scrub

This scrub is way to harsh for my face - and I i only use it on my back to it pimple-free, and its great for that, and comes at a great price. My husband loves it though, and uses it 1-2 times per week, to keep especially his nose free from blackheads

I have a tube of this in my shower, I actually don't use it on my face, I use it on my decollage. Its nice and gentle enough to keep this area clean and clear of any blemishes and is especially great during summer when you feel hot and yucky!

Back Scrub

I brought this for my daughter who has a skin problem on her back, great exfoliating action on the back, helps with maintaining and keeping pimples, blackheads at bay. I decided to give this a go for myself on my own my face and with round gentle actions, i found this to be quite rough and scratchy, makes for a great over all body exfoliant.
