impressed

I have been using this product for about 3-4 weeks now and it has really helped to improve the appearance of my skin. recently I started to break out in a lot of pimples out of nowhere so I decided to give this product a go.

After using this product for a week i noticed that i had stopped breaking out as much, so I was super happy. now after using it for 3-4 weeks my skin is hardly breaking out at all just the occasional odd blemish.

The product is like a green pearl type colour and when you squeeze it from the tube it looks quite thick but when you apply it to damp skin it spread out very easy and become very light on the skin. you only need to use a small amount of this product as I found it is very effective and cleans skin well.

I found the scent to be a little bit minty and chemical mixed together. the scent is pleasant but not the best smelling face wash i have used.

overall i was very impressed with this face wash and I will use it again.

not the best

I've been using this for a couple of months and in the beginning it was fine. I wouldn't say it reduced my acne considerably as I saw little difference but I can say that it my breakouts aren't as bad as they used to be. On the descriptions it's supposed to penetrates deep into the pore to unclog.. Well it didn't for me. My pores were still clogged, parts of my face particularly the areas with spots were a little red, and my face was oily within 15mins after using this product. I usually use this in the morning and I've noticed that my temples and cheek bone area felt really dry and irritated when using this cleanser just recently and this never use to happen. I'm not sure if this is what's causing the dryness but I'm sure that I won't be repurchasing this. One good point about this product was it's creamy consistency as most standard cleansers come in a foaming lather. Not happy

When I first used this product it felt nice and soft on my skin and my face looked clearer after I used it. However after about 10 washes my skin started to get worse and it was burning my blemishes and they were getting tender and sore so I stopped using it and my face is slowly getting better. So I would say this isn't for everybody

Disappointed

I have a lot of clogged pores, and nothing seems to work. Regular exfoliation and masks help, but really slowly. I was super excited to try this out, but after about 2 months of regular usage, my skin is the same. No new breakouts, but pores are still clogged, and skin still bumpy.

Drying for my skin

This cleanser does clean my skin very well, but it is way to drying on my skin. It did see some of my pimples reduced, however i can't stand how tight it makes my skin. Probably won't repurchase.

LOVE!!

I have been using this product morning and night for about 5 months now. Usually my skin gets used to a face wash and it doesn't work as well as when I first got it but with this one my skin laps it up. I have combination skin which is quite oily and find this product gets rid of all the oil and it isn't nearly as bad throughout the day.

this scrub was a bit rough for my skin. it also smelled like chemicals... personally i think my skin might be sensitive, so i will be switching to a gentle product which can still battle my acne. overall, it seemed to do the job, but it was too harsh on my skin.

My boyfriends HG acne cream cleanser wash

The neautrogena stress control cream cleanser is a great product for those who are realizing that there skin is oily and are prone to acne break outs.

The cleanser states that it is infused with the combination of green tea and cucumber which gives it a very nice scent! It has a lovely smooth cream consistency and therefore it doesn't foam like regular cleansers. It rinses off easily with water without leaving any residue.

This does not break my boyfriend out even more and I have been told that it stops him from breaking out and redness is reduced!

Not sure about this one

While I quite like a few things about this cleanser, there are also some things I really don't like.
Likes: Creamy, non-drying, removes makeup well.
Dislikes: Menthol tingle, packaging that catches and holds shower water, very thick texture.

Menthol is an irritant to skin, so I'm not sure why this is in there except to give the user the tingly feeling that their cleanser is "working". I'm really not a fan of the plastic cap - the flip-top is great, but the section that attaches the cap assembly to the tube catches water in the shower and that can lead to moulds/funguses breeding in the packaging, which is obviously highly undesirable! The last thing is the seriously thick texture. I have to rub the cream vigorously between my palms to warm it up and loosen the cream up enough to spread it over my face.

I don't believe this cleanser has done anything to reduce my breakouts, nor is it on the skin long enough to fulfill its claims of AHA exfoliation, but it's an okay cleanser. I probably won't repurchase.

Tried and trusted

For an acne clearing wash I am impressed by how quickly it controls the blemishes. Even though I have a normally dry/sensitive complexion I still seem to get the chin acne to my total horror as I didn't even have this as a teenager! The formula is gentle enough for me to use on my blemished areas without going red. The creamy lather is soothing really, it smells refreshing and feels cool after I wash it off, great for a morning pick-me-up and at the end of the day it takes my make-up off beautifully. My teenage sisters have used this also and love it, they have a more combination skin with a few blemishes, but being a teen it's all about having clear skin and they will do anything to fight it. The Neutrogena brand is well loved and trusted and I can say this product really works.

Glosscars 11 best cleanser

I have been using this product daily for about 8-9 months now and my first tube only just ran out a few weeks ago! The first thing the comes to mind about this wash is how very easy it is to dispense exactly how much you want as it comes in a neat flip top container and the cream has a nice thick texture so it doesn't run out everywhere. It also makes spreading it all over your face quite an easy job. The first few times I used it I didn't really like the scent as it is quite strong, though it is off green tea and cucumber so it isn’t a bad scent, but I got used to it after a few days anyway and now it doesn’t bother me at all. I never had a major problem with acne before I used this, only a few pimples here and there but it seems to have cleared even those! Since I have been using it I have hardly had a pimple which suggests to me it is doing a pretty good job. What I also love about it is it makes my skin look very clear, fresh and it is not drying which is great. It also seemed to make my skin glow after use. After long term use of this product I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin which I attribute mainly to the daily use of this wash.
The only negative aspect of this power cream was is that it contains AHA which can increase your skins sensitivity to the sun and possibility sunburn but I wear moisturiser containing sunscreen on my face everyday anyway . I think as long as you are aware of that though and take precautions such as sunscreen then this is a great product and it works well. The only other negative thing is once you get towards the end of the product its really hard to get the last bit out, I think its because of the large size of the lid. But not too much goes to waste in there and the tube does last quite a long time as only a small amount is needed daily. I would buy this product again, I think for the quality of the product and how long it lasts the price is very reasonable. It is one of the best cleansers I have used.

Effective and budget friendly

The microbeads are gentle on the face and it's mild enough to be used every few days. Although it's gentle, it's surprisingly effective in giving may face a deep cleanse. Left my skin tingling with a fresh feeling.
The foaming effectiveness is quite poor as I usually prefer a cleanser that I can work into a lather.
My skin was noticeably clearer after about a week.
The scent is fair - being green tea it lacks that wow factor.

Glosscars 2011

This Neutrogena cream cleanser comes in an easy to use flip-top squeeze bottle to deliver the desired amount of product. Only a small amount is needed to sufficently cover the entire face area. The cleanser is infused with the combination of green tea and cucumber which gives it such an energizing and fresh sublte fragrance which makes me look forward to applying it everyday. This cleanser gives me peace of mind as it is oil free so I know it wont clog my pores, it contains salicylic acid to unclog congested pores and remove all traces of oil and built up dirt and it also acts to gently exfoliate the skin. The Neutrogena cleanser is also infused with its microclear technology which is proven to aid in unclogging congested pores which is a great addition.

It has a lovely smooth cream consistency and therefore it dosen't foam like regular cleansers, it almost seems to absorb and create a light film on the skin. It rinses off easily with water without leaving any residue. After application time and time again, my skin is left feeling clean, refreshed and silky smooth and it has a lovely glowy appearance to it. Another bonus is that it actually removes traces of my makeup, although I recommend avoiding the delicate eye area. I clearly noticed at the begining weeks of using this product that my skin had improved. My pimples had subsided with the aid of the cleanser and were no longer red, they seemed to diminish over a few days of use. I have been using this cleanser for weeks now and I have not experienced any new pimples or breakouts whilst using this cleanser, which proves to me that this cleanser is really getting into my pores and combating pimple causing dirt, oil and bacteria.

With the Neutrogena cleanser, my skin was perfectly balanced, no dryness or irritation was experienced as I believe the cleanser contains the perfect amount of salicylic acid of 2%. You get a huge quantity of 177mL for under $15 which is very cost efficent. An overall great cleanser that I will continue to use.

One stress down

Not too long back my skin was having a schizophrenic moment. We've all had them, your skin doesn't know if it wants to break out into pimples, be really greasy or be dry so it decides to be all three. Needless to say I was stressing out and nothing in my skincare arsenal was making a difference. Then I saw the add for this cleanser a light went on in my brain. Couldn't hurt right? So when I went to the supermarket I picked up a tube and hoped for the best...

This cleanser is a lot like their Deep Clean Cream cleanser (which I was already a fan of) except the colour is a light green and has some extra goodies in the formula like cucumber and green tea. It provides the same tingling sensation Deep Clean does thanks to the salicylic acid which helps to rid pores of bacteria and renew skin cells.

After a day of using this cleanser I noticed a difference, my pimples didn't look so red and sore, my t-zone was less shiny and the dry skin in my cheeks and jawline wasn't as noticeable. With continued use my skin was clear, even and healthy. There was definitely one less stress in my life.

this is definitely the worst product i've ever used. not because it didnt really clear my acne up or because it left my skin quite dry but because it gave me an allergic reaction. Amazing!

I love this wash! It makes my skin so gorgeously soft after I use it and it works really well. I don't think I've had a proper big pimple since I started using this product, and my nose which is usually slightly bumpy is really smooth as well. I've never tried a cream cleanser before, but I actually really like it because it doesn't dry out my skin at all and it feels so soft and moisturising. currently using this product morning and night. i think it is a great product just not THE BEST. It doesn't leave a thick residue on your skin after you wash which is great. doesn't lather well but does clean your skin well. Would recommend for those who have mild acne with dry to combined skin, not particularly oily. My skin is very very oily, within 3 hours my skin is really oily. Good but not great

In all fairness, I love neutrogena. But this face wash doesn't quite live up to what I want in a face wash.
I like that it is gentle and my face feels clean but not tight.
I don't like that it doesn't remove all my makeup. Also, I'm not sure that the BHAs are doing anything useful - cause I'm washing them all off pretty quickly.

My friends daughter raved about this product so I thought about giving it a try. I use it twice a week and its been a month and guess wot? No pimples this month around, my skin has felt smoother and no lumps to be seem, could it be that a face scrub at a bargain price actually be working for somone in their 30s? Time will tell

I've only been using this cleanser for a week, so it's difficult to tell yet whether or not it will help to clear my persistent mild acne. It does look a little better, though I think the cleanser may be helping to bring out a few pimples that were lurking beneath the surface. Having said that, it's a lovely product. A little goes a long way, the smell and texture are very pleasant, and it's very gentle on skin. I am particularly loving the cream consistency for winter, as my skin can dry out in patches at times while remaining oily and spotty in others, and this cleanser doesn't dry my skin at all.

Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wah

I honestly think this is the Deep Clean Cream Cleanser's sister, in the way that it is creamy and doesn't strip the skin and make it all red, while still getting to the problem areas and treating them accordingly. An honest, hard working product that did give me results and made the skin feel comfortably elastic and fresh after use. I really liked the green tea ingredient too, as sometimes ethanol-smelling cleansers (which are still great) can be a bit stiffling to the nose when used frequently. All round, it's a great buy that I could come back to when most needing it (meaning once a month!) without shocking the skin into the usual harsh acne treating product because the cream. This deserves a five star for versatility

Neutrogena : Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash

For the size of this product, it is generous and fantastic value. Most importantly it works ! Like the scrub, you do not need to apply heaps to cleanse your face. The cleanser has a very pleasant smell and leaves me face refreshed and squeaky clean- perfect for the morning skin care routine. I noticed i didn't have to double cleanse like I normally have to, it takes all the oily residue and gunk with ease. I found after 3 weeks, my skin looking radiant, clean and my pimples gone or if they were large ones A LOT smaller !

Not a fan

This seemed the same formula as the scrub only without the exfoliating beads. The cream didn't lather at all, and didn't seem to break down. It was really hard to rinse off. I didn't find that it cleaned my skin effectively, even when I washed once with this and once with the scrub. I didn't notice any reduction in acne or any improvements to my skin at all using this daily for a week. It didn't seem to get all my makeup off either. I would recommend to someone who doesn't wear make up and doesn't like foamy cleansers. I probably wouldn't buy this product.

Trial Team Review

I suffer from daily acne everyday and I have acne-prone/combination skin. I was given this Neutrogena Power-Clear Scrub alongside with the Neutrogena Power-Cream wash early March. I have acne on my forehead, cheeks and jaw line, I was quite skeptical that it would control acne and dry out my skin.

A cream cleanser is something I haven’t tried before in the past, but it really changed what I thought about them. The cream cleanser‘s consistency is really creamy that easily glided around my face and what’s different about this product is that it does not foam up rather coat the skin.
The result? After every wash my skin felt visibly smooth and soft, it did not dry out my skin and it was easy to use. It was very refreshing and cooling after every use because it is infused with soothing ingredients of green tea and cucumber that helps soften my skin.

The product comes in a handy tube that contains 177mL with a flip cap that will last for a long time – and is cheap and affordable! It contains 2% salicylic acid that unclogs congested pores but the downside of this; it causes the skin to become more susceptible to the sun by 50% so I recommend using a sunscreen.
Overall my skin improved a lot and I had less acne around my problem areas. I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to people who suffer from acne. 5/5!

Active Control

I used this at the same time as the Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub. In the first week I was actually quite alarmed when I suddenly found my skin breaking out all over. I decided that it was because I suddenly changed my skin care routine. The formula does use active ingredients so I thought it best to try one at a time. I started out with just this first because it was more gentle on my skin. My break outs were initially irritated when I used the Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub, so this was the better alternative. The formula was very gentle on my skin, although I didn’t particularly like the smell of the wash. As my break outs started to ease, I started using the Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub as well. After a few days I started to think that this wash didn’t provided any additional benefit to the scrub, so I gradually phased this out rather than to use both. I think it depends on an individual’s skin care routine which one you choose. This one is more gentle on skin, it recommends you use twice a day, however my lifestyle is more oriented to a once-a-day skin care routine. I’ve been sharing these two with my sister, and she prefers this to the scrub, so it all comes down to your own personal preference.

glowing clear skin

The first thing i notice about this is it is very easy to dispense exactly how much you want. The cream has a nice texture, its quite thick so its easy to spread all over your face. The first few time i used it i didn't really like the scent as it is quite strong, though it is off green tea and cucumber so it isnt a bad scent, but i got used to it after a few days anyway. I never had a major problem with acne before, only a few pimples here and there but it seems to have cleared even those! Since i have been using it i have hardly had a pimple. It also makes my skin look very clear and fresh and it is not drying which is great. It also seemed to make my skin glow after use. The only negative aspect of this power cream was is that it contains AHA which can increase your skins sensitivity to the sun and possibility sunburn but i wear moisturiser containing sunscreen on my face everyday anyway. I think as long as you are aware of that though and take precautions such as sunscreen then this is a great product and it works well. For the price it is well worth a try, and you only need to use the smallest amount so it lasts a while.

Not for me

At first I really liked this but now that i've tried it for about a month and not just a few days I feel that I was wrong. This works well for about a week but after more use it tends to dry out the skin and only leads to more breakouts. This product works better if you have oily and more acne prone not for the occassional blemish skin types. This product has proved to be much too harsh and abrasive for my sensitive skin. I would use this after wearing makeup all night to make my skin really clean but not daily.

Love!

I've been a big fan of Neutrogena skin care products for a while...and for good reason. It seems like they can do no wrong with their face washes. While I never used to be a fan of non-foamy face cleansers, I'm converted after using the Acne Stress Control. My face felt fresh and clean afterwards...and it didn't take long for me to notice how soft and smooth my skin became (and less break outs!).Also, you don't need to use much of the wash, so it'll last ages - another plus. A great product!

Neutrogena's effective cleanser

This Neutrogena cream cleanser comes in an easy to use flip-top squeeze bottle to deliver the desired amount of product. Only a small amount is needed to sufficently cover the entire face area. The first thing that caught my attention about the cleanser is how fantastic it smells.

Application is a breeze. I squeeze a small amount of the product onto my fingertips, rub the cleanser between my hands and then massage it lightly into my skin, concentrating especially on my pimple prone areas and t-zone. Also while using this cleanser, my skin never experiences excess oil or a shiny t-zone,all of those nasties seem to be eliminated.

As with any cleanser that contains salicylic acid, I am always slightly skeptical that it will dry out my skin or leave it feeling stripped, as I find it difficult to find a cleanser that manages to balance my combination skin perfectly, usually I am left with dry patches on my cheeks and forehead. This was never a problem with the Neutrogena cleanser, my skin was perfectly balanced, no dryness or irritation was experienced as I believe the cleanser contains the perfect amount of salicylic acid of 2%. You get a huge quantity of 177mL for under $15 which is very cost efficent. For people with dry skin, I would recommend trying to use the cleanser day and night as it is so gentle on the skin and hydrating, however if you experience dryness cutting the usage to once a day should work great. Also the cleanser contains an AHA which can increase the skins sensitivity to sunburn, so I would recommend using a sunscreen daily. I would recommend this product to anyone experiencing pimples or blemishes as it is very gentle compared to other acne products on the market which contain very strong and harsh ingredients which can be detrimental to the skin. Just because it is marketed as an acne product, I have found that there is no reason why it wont be suitable for the people experiencing a few pimples or hormonal breakouts. An overall great cleanser.

Power Cream Wash

This little beauty simply did the same acne clearing job as the Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, but with a foam that was still creamy so i knew it wasn;t as drying as the usual full blast drying foam many brands have in their products. I really enjoy neutrogena's cleansers for this reason. My skin was left tingly and still taking grease and make-up away, but the cream ensured my skin was still comfortably dry, with a bit of moisture left. I think this is a great version of the Deep Clean Cream Cleanser for sticky hot days.

Great for all skin types!

This pimple-clearing cream cleanser by Neutrogena is excellent. The creamy texture is not only suitable for dry skin, but for oily skin,too- a hydrating and very nice change from the usual oil-stripping gel cleansers. I really liked the scent of this; a fresh, invograting cucumber and green tea fragrance. The creamy consistency was made for my oily skin as it left no film whatsover and not only washed away impurities but it hydrated and moisturised at the same time. I love how i had a very nice glow after every wash, partly because of the exfoliating and illumintaing glycolic acid properties However, as nice as this cleanser was, I didn't really notice any dramatic differences in my pimple sizes (well, i do have quite a lot of pimples, so thats the only reason im taking a heart off), but I did notice a reduction in redness and dry patches on my skin.
Thanks to Beautyheaven for letting me trial this gem :)

Acne wash that's not drying???

I always have the problem of having quite normal to slightly oily skin but I still get break outs. The biggest issue I find is I will switch to a acne style product and it will turn my skin super patchy and dry, not with this. I have been using this product almost every day, twice a day and my skin has not been dry once. My skin looks a lot clearer than it did, and although I did get a few deep pimples this week they went away faster than usual. I think that this product is not as drying because it is a cream and feels quite thick. I even used this product a few times like a mask which worked great (just dont get it near your eyes as the fumes sting a little). Overall this is a fantastic product at a great price and I hope with continued used my skin will get even better.

Power-Cream Wash

I found this product to be a lot less harsh compared to acne treatment products I've tried in the past. It did a good job at cleansing, exfoliating & clearing the skin, although it felt refreshing I did find my skin looked slightly pink after use. Whilst I couldn't use this product everyday it is gentle enough to be used on my sensitive skin weekly without irritation.

One of the Best Neutrogena Cleanser yet

I absolutely love this product! I was so happy I came across it weeks ago (from today). It's so affordable for me and gives me wonders. There are two active ingredients that I always look out for. That is AHAs and BHAs aka glycolic and salicylic acid, also butylene glycol. These two main ingredients helps my skin to renew itself as well as fighting breakouts and deeply cleanse my pores of all the build-up from day and night..
I notice my skin has reduced in blackheads dramatically, my occassional breakouts are much smaller and less, and my skin is left glowing much more than it used to be.
The cucumber and green tea does not irritate my sensitive skin and leaves it soft and clean without the tightness feeling.

I would find this product suitable for anyone who gets occasional breakouts, or steadily achieving glowy skin and very suitable for sensitive skin (it doesn't treat rosacea/redness even due to the soothing ingredients)
*Tip: I use it as a quick and substitute 'face mask'. Apply all over face and massage deeply. Then rinse off and your skin is extra clean, extra glowing and it's just a few steps towards better skin!
