Beautiful Cleanser (Best in Beauty 2012)

This is such a beautiful product to use.It is gentle yet very effective.It leaves my skin lovely & clean without drying or leaving any greasiness behind,just smooth,soft, hydrated skin.
A little goes a long way so it lasts for ages & it smells gorgeous!
I always look forward to using it.:)
It is Australian made and owned & is also on the Cruelty Free list which is always a good thing. I highly recommend this cleanser.

Best in Beauty 2012 - light and luscious at once

I reviewed this product in May when I was super-impressed by the positive impact it had on my skin within a week. Light but non-drying, and creamy to boot, this cleanser and toner not only reduces my morning prep time but leaves me smelling delicious without being overpowering as well. The packaging is classy and understated, and though the price tag is a little high, this beauty is doing the work of two products so it is definitely value for money.

Creamy and gentle but not the best cleanser

I have been using this for 9 days now and this is my opinion on it:
Pros: Great for sensitive skin. It isn't fragranced so nothing to spark off sensitive noses.
Cons: I broke out within a 3 days of starting on this cleanser. It takes about 3 rounds of wiping and reapplication to get all my mineral makeup off. Even after that, more make up was still coming off on my cottons pads when I wiped my face with toner.

I will not be repurchasing.

Soft and silky

I have very sensitive skin that's prone to drying out easily. I've been using the A'kin Rose & Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & Toner for years and don't know how many bottles I've been through. Such a soft and creamy texture with a delicate fragrance, I find myself using more than necessary because it's feels so nice on my face. I use makeup remover first, and then this to cleanse.

I get in my head sometimes that the pricetag is a little high for something I use so much of, so I go and try something different for a while, but then end up straight back here. It's definitely worth it.

Creamy and gentle

This is a beautiful cleanser - it's so creamy and smells beautiful. Unfortunately I don't feel like it did enough to really remove all my make-up, so I have moved on to other cleansers. If you have dry skin and don't wear much make-up, this would be a lovely, nourishing cleanser for you.

A Lovely Cream Cleanser

I received this cleanser as part of a pack so was only a 30ml size.
I really enjoyed using this product as it smells really lovely and natural.
It is a cream cleanser so not foaming at all.
My skin felt clean and lovely and fresh after using this product but with my oily acne prone skin I felt it was not a good choice for me for everyday use.
I liked using it after cleansing with my normal gel cleanser.
Recommend for those with Dry Skin :)

Gentle, nourishing and smells so feminine!

I received this cleanser/toner/deliciousness in a sample subscription box a week ago and I am in love! The scent is beautiful and very feminine and the packaging is elegant. My skin is clearer and softer, and I've seen an improvement in the moisture in my skin when usually in winter my skin becomes very dry. I will definitely be purchasing it, especially as it uses natural ingredients.

Perfect for winter

Having combination skin I find it difficult to find a product that in winter will cleanse my skin without leaving it either extremely dry or oily. This cleanser is working really well and my skin feels really soft and smooth! And as with most of the Akin products the smell is absolutely lovely

Love

This is the best cleanser I have ever used. Gentle, moisturising, smells nice, cleans without stripping and even removes eye make up (may need to use twice for thick mascara). You only need a tiny bit and it leaves my skin so soft. I've tried loads of natural cream cleansers but I always come back to this.

Best smelling cleanser ever!

This is by far my favourite beauty product of all time. If I had to throw away everything else, I would want to keep this. The smell is divine, the cleanser/toner combo is a time saver, the price is affordable, and the way it leaves your skin feeling could not be any better.

Non-Drying, Worth Buying!

What busy girl doesn't love a good multi-tasker? The Rose & Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser and Toner gets rid of the need to apply a toner which to me is gold. You can really smell the rose and geranium which make it quite pleasant to use. It's quite thick when you spread it on but changes to a milk like consistency when water is added and doesn't really foam up. The texture is a little greasy probably because of the Shea Butter but after rinsing off, my skin felt so soft and not dry and taut like it does after using most other cleansers. This is a really great product for dry skin sufferers and was really gentle on my sensitive skin.

Great

As a multi-tasker this is already in my good books. The Rose & Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser and Toner eliminates the need to tone separately so would be great for gals on the go. I like it’s fragrance – you can really smell the rose and geranium. It spreads on like a moisturiser and then when water is added it changes to the consistency of a milk cleanser, not really foaming. You can feel the Shea Butter – it does have a slightly thick, slightly greasy texture but after rinsing what you are left with is skin that is not dry and taut but subtly moisturised.

Smells devine and oh so gentle!

Such a lovely creamy scented hydrating cleanser. I use my normal cleanser and then this one so that my skin feels really lovely and soft. It's very gentle on the skin and doesn't strip the oils from your skin, instead it leaves added moisture. It removes makeup gently.

A bit oily and doesn't remove makeup well

I got a sample of this when I bought another A'kin product a few months ago. I love the way it smells and its creamy texture, but I found it a bit too oily for my oily T-zone and it wasn't great at removing makeup. I also don't like the idea of a toner and cleanser in one because I have yet to find a cleanser that removes all my makeup so I need a separate toner to help get the last vestiges of my makeup off. On the plus side though it was soothing to my very sensitive skin.

Perfect!!

I am in love with all the AKIN products!! and I recently bought the cleanser/toner and was again reminded how much I love their stuff. It got rid of all my makeup...even eye makeup, and I didnt have to rub. The smell divine!

So creamy and nourishing!

This is such a lovely product, it's so rich and creamy and only a tiny amount is needed to create a gorgeous aromatic lather to cleanse my face and neck. I love how smooth and hydrated it makes my skin feel without any tightness or irritation. It was so comforting for my combination/sensitive skin and with such a large bottle, is excellent value for money. I will definitely repurchase this cleanser.

Great for atopic skin!

I have had atopic eczema on my face for nearly a year now and started using this cleanser about 2 months ago. Since then I've noticed my skin is not as red or irritated as other cleansers can make it. Not too greasy for my oily T-zone though!
My eczema is slowly clearing up now!

Good but better for dry skin better

I got this from David Jones gift pack and i knew its not for my skin since it suits more for dry to normal skin while i have combination. But i thought i'd give it a try anyway

So i used this to remove my make up with my cotton pad. It's very rich and creamy and remove make up easily, especially eye make up such as eyeliner. it smells great too!! Even though it says toner too, but i i use toner still and find it cleaner when i use 1 too. recommended more for dry to normal skin. Its too greasy for me.

Creamy to Suit Normal to Dry Sensitive Skin, Remov

This cleanser is quite thick and has a very Rose Geranium smell. Great at getting rid of dirt and makeup by being so creamy but oily skin types might find it a little greasy - shea butter. Bonus is being natural so very mild. The toner (witch hazel) is also quite mild considering it is hidden in the cream, and I used another toner afterwards anyway. But this is very good value if you don't want to buy both and don't want a toner that is drying.

Not sure about the concept but nice cleanser

I was not convinced about this being a toner as well but it certainly makes a nice gentle cleanser. The creamy texture does not leave my skin dry and there was no irritation either. The container is large and you don't need much so it is good value for money as well. I would recommend this one!

Not sure

I only just started using this product and im not too sure. it smells great but i find its creamy texture a bit greasy for my combination skin. I used it last night and this morning my skin has broken out a little bit-not sure if this was the cause. I find i still have to use a toner to get rid of the greasy feeling. Il perserve and see how i go- i think this would be perfect for dry skin.

A'kin: Rose and Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & To

I will happily use this wash on my neck which is dryer, but it is not suitable to use on my face which is prone to acne (although both areas are ultra-sensitive).
I have tried many cream cleansers over the years and will say that this is one of the better ones. It cleans as effectively as you can expect from a gentle cleanser, has a lovely creamy texture and only a moderate amount is needed. I have used several cleansers which require so much product per use that the bottle lasts me 3 weeks at the most! This is not one of those. I would expect it to last 6 weeks to 2 months of cleansing face + neck twice a day with a double cleanse in the evening. It comes in a large well-designed package which minimises wastage. For the amount of product you get the price is reasonable, though not dirt cheap.
However, I found the excessive fragrance to be a bit of a problem. I can tolerate smelling it but found that if my skin had already broken out in redness/rash this cleanser was irritating enough to slow down the healing time considerably. I also hate the look of the pack. It functions well but I hate seeing it in my bathroom! To me, it's the epitome of ugly.
Since using this I am trialling another cream cleanser with simpler ingredients which I prefer, so I won't be buying it again anytime soon. However if I was in urgent need of a cream cleanser and my prefered brand was not available then I'd go straight for A'Kin.

Love

I've just started using this cleanser as I have started to get dry skin in spots again and my usual cleanser was leaving my really dry and tight after washing. This is such a beautiful creamy cleanser that leaves your skin very soft and hydrated. It removes makeup quiet well also. I have a travel size at the moment, yet I will definately buy a full size bottle, I love that it is all natural too, I've had trouble in the past with acne and love that I'm not using anything that will irritate me.

Excellent

Just tried this great cleanser/toner as recommended by BH! Already have fallen in love with it. Great how it even removes eye make up and my skin really felt cleansed afterwards. I also love the rose smell, just divine! You need only apply a small amount and it's such a large bottle I think it will last for ages. Great value considering it's under $30.

smells so good!

i tried this product in an attempt to find a new cleanser as i felt the one i was using wasn't really cleaning my skin.. the smell of this product is so nice, it's all natural... it is really creamy feeling on the skin.. and my skin feels softer after each wash.. a big thumbs up.. kinda wish it was a bit cheaper though!

Surprised by how well this cleanser really cleans!

I received a travel sized tube of this product in an A'kin pack and I was really surprised by how effective it was. It removed my eye makeup quite easily compared to many other natural cleansers and left my skin feeling refreshed, not tight (I have slightly dry skin and normally suffer from tightness in my face after using a cleanser to remove makeup). I will be seriously considering swapping to this product once my current cleanser is gone, especially for winter.

Good moisturising creamy cleanser

This is lovely and creamy and is great for my dry skin, and unlike a lot of cleansers designed for dry skin, it does a decent job of cleansing although it doesn't give a deep clean. If I've been wearing sunscreen or more makeup, then I'll either exfoliate afterwards or wash with the cream twice. It still cleanses more effectively than Cetaphil though. I like using this as it's all natural and I don't need to worry about petrochemicals or additives, etc. I like the fact that the bottle is stored on it's cap so that I can get as much product out of the bottle as possible, with a good control nozzle so that there's no leakage. I tend to use this on and off though because of the cloying rose scent, and I'd give this a higher rating if not for that.

Clean, soft skin

This cleanser is so rich and creamy. It doubles as an efficient make-up remover, being safe enough for eye make-up as well. Make-up, dirt and grime can be wipe off or rinsed off along with the product, leaving my skin feeling soft, supple and not stripped of its natural oils. It's so rich it feels like it's moisturising my face as well, which is a bonus as i can skip that step without worrying :) Simple, easy, perfect... for keeping hydrated in winter.

Bets for dry skin

I found this cleanser to be much too rich for my combination skin. After using this cleanser for a week, I noticed that my t-zone became oilier and was starting to break out, so I had to stop using it. I think the cleanser is best suited for dry skin types.

A'kin Rose & Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & Toner

This product has the right consistency for a cream cleanser & replenished the moisture in my skin. The natural oils removed make up with ease & provided moisture to skin, but wasn't at all greasy. It smelt good too, I was worried the added essential oils would irritate my sensitive skin, but it didn't. The added toner is a time saver.

Lovely A'kin Rose and Geranium Cleanser & Toner

This product is lovely! It has a thick creamy texture and you only need a small amount. I have used it both with and without water and it has never irritated my sensitive skin. It leaves my skin clean, fresh, moisturised and soft.

Ecellent Product

This is on the expensive side for what I like to pay for a cleanser (hence the rating of 4 hearts) but I will say that it is totally worth it. I have just moved from a moist humid climate to a cold dry one and my skin is running riot on me. I have reverted to using this cleanser and other Akin products and my skin is now behaving again. Lovely creamy texture and cooling on the skin. Great for sensitive reactive skin (which mine is) as it is very soothing and it smells great too.

Rose and Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & Toner in

I am loving this cleanser, seeing as it also is combined with a toner it works well for people who are short on time yet still want to have a beauty regime. It is nice and creamy and a small amount lathers into a lovely foam that cleans so well it even removes all traces of my makeup, even the stubborn eye makeup comes off with this. I have sensitive skin and this is so soft and gentle on my face. It smells so yummy due to the shea butter and leaves my skin moisturised and really fresh and clean. This product has had a really positive effect on my skin and I will definately use it again and again.

this is an amazing cleanser..not only does it smell divine,mm..love the smell of roses..it is so creamy and gentle on my skin yet cleanses so deeply and thoroughly without leaving residue or a tight feeling..worth every cent

A'kin Rose and Geranium Cleanser

A lovely, gentle cleanser. I was a little hesitant of a creamy cleanser but this just feels and smells so luxurious! A bonus is that if you can decant this into a smaller container it's perfect for long (and drying) plane trips as you can just wipe it off with a tissue.

very nice, light

it is a very good cleanser, i have sensitive skin but it didn't have any negative effect.
I need to rinse off it and i think it doesn't really remove make-up well. Who likes creamy cleansers will love this one!!!

Excellent product for winter

This cleanser is excellent on my combination skin in winter. It soothes the dry patches and keeps my skin soft. The creamy formula doesn't cause any dryness unlike foam washes. Highly recommend using this in winter!

No greasy residue

I don't generally go for a cream cleanser however my skin has been a little dry and thirsty due to the winter season and needed an extra boost of moisture. I've been really pleased with my A'kin and Alchemy purchases of late that I thought I'd give this cleanser a try. I feels lovely on the skin and has a very creamy texture. It removed all traces of my makeup, leaving my skin clean without any greasy residue afterwards. The scent is lovely too :)
