Quite nice

I'm not a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden perfumes but I was given a set of miniatures for Christmas. Out of the 5 of the scents I received, the 5th Avenue is my favourite and one that I will be able to wear. It isn't too overpowering, thank God. If a perfume is too strong it usually brings on a migraine so I steer clear of potent blends. This scent wears nicely on my skin, and is lasting, it will still smell as fresh 8 hours later. And I only need a spritz between my boobs and my inner elbows and I'm set to go. A little goes a long, long way.

Not For Me!

I am perplexed as to why women like this - but that's what makes us humans all so unique. I personally don't like this perfume at all. I'm in the minority here on this one but I can't help it! I can't even begin to describe why this bottle sits full in amongst my collection. It just doesn't smell like anything good to me!

The best of Elizabeth Arden

this is one of the few perfumes i would actually recommend. not only does it come in a gorgeous bottle, but the perfume is absolutely divine. this perfume is the epitome of perfection, class jam packed into a bottle. sure it may be classified as a bit expensive, but the beauty of this perfume is that you dont need hundreds of squirts to be able to smell it. just two squirts does the trick, so in effect one is actually investing in a beauty product. who knew that is even possible.

Great bargain perfume!

This has been a constant in my perfume cabinet for the longest time and the fact that you can pick this up for $20 (on special) from most chain pharmacies makes this a fantastic buy.

The fragrance is quite sharp and distinct but mellows out and smells beautiful on the skin. Not at all over powering. It also lasts the day on your skin so no need to reapply during a normal work day.

A strong spirit smell

Got this as a present. The smell was very strong on the initial application and it remained strong but later developed into a spirit alcohol sorta smell.

You get what you pay for.

Sophistication on a Budget

This has been around forever and I liked it when it first came out so I bought it in a mini recently. It's a cheap fragrance now but it doesn't smell cheap. It has a sophistication and is not too embellished or strong. It's a pleasant day fragrance and great for summer and spring.

pleasantly surprised

It all started by taking a whiff of my mum's Elizabeth Arden perfume which she hardly uses. What can i say, I was taken aback and completely fell in love. I expected some strong talcum dusty scent but it was the complete opposite. It smelt fresh, light and very "feminine". This is such a timeless perfume and I can confidently say this perfume is very ageappropriate as well. I practically use this perfume on a daily basis when I go out in the morning and at night too.

Classic Beauty

This fragrance is better suited for a person who like classic fragrances that are a bit heavy.
It is a great price, the bottle is defiently classy and elegant and the fragrance lasts all day.
Though I think that the smell does not suit my style I can imagine it growing on me and one day I can see myself wearing it.

so strong!

This perfume was definitely overpowering- i only spritzed the tiniest amount on myself and it lasted the whole day. It didnt smell bad, but it wasnt the best perfume ive smelt

Smells really nice.

I bought this perfume for mothers day for my mum and she adores it, as did I when I smelled it in the store. It's nice and subtle which is different from her usual perfumes and she wears it every day.

5th AVENUE

5th AVENUE is rated as 1 of my favourites ,it's quite strong but not a cheap sickly strong , nice as a every day perfume and at a good price...;) <3

Nice, but a bit heavy

I like the idea of this cologne, but it seems a bit heavier than the mix of scents would suggest it should be. I found it a bit too sweet for me, but, having said that, I have worn it a number of times, but only in the colder months.

Very good, but not perfect

The smell was exactly what it said- luxurious, stylish and energetic but it just didn't feel as perfect on my skin as I'd wanted it to be. The fragrance lasted long enough to satisfy me, but my sensitive skin thought it was slightly uncomfortable for a while

bought this for my mums birthday, its not bad but i would recommed this for mre elderly people. Its not what young girls would wear. The quality is good and last a long time:)

Simple

I have been using this for years. It is soft and calm, not too floral or sweet. It doesn't scream at you but neither is it a statement perfume. Good for casual daytime use. Even though it is plain there is something special about it.

Classic

I showed this perfume for my mum about 5 years ago and she has never used anything else! It smells nice and definately does not have that overpowering floral smell at all. You can use it everyday night or day.

Scent Vanishes!

I'm really surprised that everyone else has praised it's long-lasting scent! When I put it on, it's gone in 5 minutes - I thought that perhaps I was just used to the smell, but my friends can't smell it on me either (yes, I got them to smell my wrists - ha ha) I've never had this problem with a perfume before. I sometimes use Red Door also by Elizabeth Arden, & it lasts forever. It must be just me? I recommend a trial ON YOUR SKIN before you buy.

Still deciding on this one

I recently received this as (yet another) gift - my grandparents are my annual source of perfume, which is great as far as I'm concerned. 5th Ave is not the sort of perfume that I would have chosen for myself - which I why I like recieving perfume as gifts. You can get some really interesting things. I haven't worn it very often yet but it is quite an elegant perfume, one suited to expensive dinners and nights out at cultural events - I've taken to carrying it in my handbag just in case. It is a very feminine fragrance though, so perhaps it may not be for fans of slightly more masculine or unisex scents.

Lovely, will never go out of style!

I Love It!!

My husband bought this for me a few years ago now (I have had numerous bottles since) and it is without doubt my favorite. You can wear it day or night - not too strong but strong enough. There is just something about it that I love!

My all-time favourite perfume

I have been using 5th Avenue since it was released. It's such a beautiful fragrance and I always get positive comments (even from complete strangers) when I use it. It's so fresh, pleasant and elegant. What I love most about it, is that it's appropriate to wear day or night - such a gorgeous blend.
