Baby’s first beauty buy

You know when you see a kid that’s so cute you could literally just eat them up? Well that’s how I feel about my friend’s baby, Nina. Nearly one-year old, she’s the cutest, pudgiest little thing I’ve ever seen – and trust me, it’s true, because I’m definitely not one of those girls that goes gaga over babies.
Anyway, being in this line of work, no matter what you’re thinking about, your brain invariably strays back to beauty. So given that it’s nearly Nina’s first birthday, well…it got me thinking about beauty for babies.
Don’t worry, I’m not about to go all Toddlers in Tiaras on you (mascara on mini-me’s is definitely not a look I condone), but I am about to go through a few great products that make excellent gifts for the little ones.
Urban Rituelle Mumma & Bubba Organics Beddy Bye Bunny Nursery Set
Complete with a hydrating mist, nourishing baby massage oil, and soft toy all packaged up in a box designed to be played with, this great gift set is both soothing for the skin and stimulating for the mind.
A’Kin pureBaby Try Me Kit
Super gentle on the skin and hair, and free of all nasties, you’ll want to use these products on yourself as much as on your bub! The gift set contains full-sized products including a body wash and shampoo, bottom balm and moisturiser – plus more.
Burt’s Bees Baby Bee To Go Kit
Go out and about with your baby, in true beauty junkie style with this fabulous travel-friendly kit. All the products in this pack contain soothing buttermilk and aloe vera, as well as coconut oil, and vitamins A and E, so your bub is guaranteed to get a head start on gorgeous skin.

Do you go gaga over babies or are you not that sentimental?

I don't go gaga over babies. I think that it has lots to do with the fact that I am not emotionally mature/ready to actually have them myself. Maybe in time I may become more sentimental.

You're right! Nina's definitely a lil' cutie. I have a 2yo and a newborn but am not really a 'baby' person (although reading that back it sounds a bit weird)...
Was talking with a fully employed, newly married woman who's also studying law and apparently her sister had a baby and I quote 'high on the hormones' was telling everyone how amazing and wonderful it was. The baby's now a year old and she's telling everyone 'DO NOT have a baby. If you do, put them in childcare AS SOON as you can!' Oh, the joys. Needless to say the future lawyer has just bought a dog!

I really like babies and would love to have one of my own some day, but I'm still young so I think I'll wait a few years.

Ooooh Nina is adorable! I sometime go gaga, but it's only temporary. It is just not my time yet.

Another great product is Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Baby Moisturising Lotion - fragrance free. I have to admit I rarely moisturise my bub as he won't stay still long enough but I've taken to using his baby body lotion and absolutely love it. I just happened to pop it on my dry legs one day and seriously, they felt fabulous all day. They stay smooth and moisturised for ages. Love it! In fact I'm off to post a review now. Check it out, it's on the site... x

I've never been one to go gaga over babies, definitley not maternal at all! but in saying that my partners little baby cousin is adorable! we find ourselves keeping her entertained all the time! I think it's because we know we can hand her back after an hour or two hehe

Nina is such a cutie!! She's going to turn heads when she grows up (and I'm sure she will be asking you for beauty advice when that time comes Deb =p). I go gaga over babies and two of my cousins are having bubs this year so I'll be on the look out for these products =)

I definately don't go gaga over babies. I don't think I have a maternal bone in my body and I don't think all babies are adorable like some women (although I have to say Nina is just a cutie). I've never really been around babies (i've got one older brother who is 15yrs older than me) and kids never seem to like me.

I love babies, but they are even more adorable when you can hand them back to their mum after giving them a squeeze and pinching their chubby cheeks, haha. My daughter two is inspired by everything to do with beauty, guess she has little choice when she has a mum who goes gaga over makeup and products though, haha :)

I've always loved babies, I was the three year old with my baby doll instead of barbies. Not all babies exude that gorgeous must have you and cuddle you and eat you up aroma lol
I love my baby boy also, he's a cutie and we'll be trying for our second in a few months so wish me luck lol

My bub will be 1 tomorrow...maybe i can buy him some ebauty products for his bday...though i dont think that his dad will be too impressed!!
I used to not like babies much at all...in fact I was terrified of them!! That is until I had my own...now I'm one of those people who peers into prams and smiles at babies..
Its funny though, i never realised how many people were gaga over babies until taking mine out shopping. People are forever stopping to chat to him or to me about him. I could never have imagined that people did that before.

She is certainly a little cutie. I love babies. I have 2 adorable little boys 1 nearly 4 and the other 14mths. I'd love to have more, but I think 2 is enough. Looking forward to showing my little niece all of the makeup and beauty trends in the future.
