I've tried so many products for my baby's nappy rash but was given desitin by my neighbor. It worked within a few hours. Her wounds had closed up and her skin was not as red or irritated. I use it everyday now. Its thick so it works well and doesn't wipe off once the nappy is on.
Apply generously to the affected area.

Best for Nappy Rash
We started using Desitin when my daughter got terrible nappy rash. We bought it in our local Woolworths, it seems to be cheaper there than the chemist so shop around.
Her red raw nappy rash was gone in about 2 days, it worked a treat.

My skin tends to get really dry and itchy in winter, and a few years ago it got really bad and none of the moisturisers I was using could help. I was told nappy rash cream will help, so I bought a tube of Desitin at my local chemist.
Well, my skin irritation went away a few days after using the cream, and I was happy with that. The cream is very thick and it's a bit hard to wash off even under hot water (although that would be a plus for using it on nappy rash)
One thing I don't like however, was the fishy smell (due to cod liver oil being one of the active ingredients). I have since switched to another nappy rash cream Bepanthen, which has a more pleasant smell. But Bepanthen washes off a lot easier, so when I have a baby (eventually) I will know Desitin is a great barrier cream
