L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Detoxifying + Brightening Charcoal Mask

bh’s Astrid says:

“My skin doesn’t require too much attention. It’s not sensitive, it’s not too dry or too oily, and I only suffer from the occasional blemish. But no matter what I do, my complexion ALWAYS looks dull and lifeless. Trust me when I say I’ve tried every treatment under the sun to fix it and so far I am yet to find anything that works nearly as well as this clay mask from L’Oréal. Cross my heart.

The formula, which is thick in consistency, works like a magnet to extract impurities and detoxify the skin. Honestly, I was quite surprised at how visible these effects were. For $11, it truly exceeded my expectations! I loved how easily the charcoal formula applied to my skin, and how smooth and even it looked. After just 10 minutes it was dry and felt tight on my face, which is perfect for those with a short attention span like me! Immediately after rinsing I noticed certain parts of my face – particularly around my mouth, chin and forehead appeared brighter, and felt super smooth. This is going to be a great one to continue using, especially throughout these hotter months, to give my skin that natural summer glow.”

Trevor Sorbie Precious Oils Shine Oil

bh’s Skye says:

“I have been trailing the Trevor Sorbie Precious Oils Shine Oil and I instantly loved this product. From the first use the oil left my hair feeling soft and free of frizz. The delivery system works perfectly, and the packaging looks very luxe with beautiful gold packaging. I have long hair and I find one pump of the oil is just enough for even coverage, I find it very effective straight after blow-drying my hair for a smooth, frizz-free result. The smell is absolutely divine and the argan oil, which is rich in vitamin E, helps with smoothness and shine. Inca inchi oil provides a rich source of omega-3, nourishing and protecting my hair. This Shine Oil just made its way into my haircare routine – love it!”

Designer Brands Cream Contour Kit

bh’s Issy says:

“I am a basic chick when it comes to makeup. Bronzer and blush are my staple items. I’ve always had an interest in contouring but hadn’t found a palette that looks simple to use. When I was given the Designer Brands Cream Contour Kit in medium to dark, I was drawn to its simplicity. The palette is composed of three shades: a highlighter, a contour shade and an illuminator. Along with the palette I received an instruction guide on technique and application, which made the whole process a lot more achievable. When applying I used a foundation brush, but you can also use a buffing brush.

I found the instruction guide super helpful and it made achieving the look that little bit easier. I am still learning the process, but I have found the DB kit a great addition to my makeup routine for a night out. The kit assisted with defining areas on my face like my cheeks and nose in particular, the colour was a great match for me and the highlight also provided some shimmer which is great for summer. Overall the product wears well for me and I recommend it for anyone keen to enter the contouring world!”

Real Techniques Starter Set

bh’s Sophie says:

“This year I’m trying to streamline my makeup routine, so anything that makes my makeup application quicker is a big hit with me. Since I got my hands on the Real Techniques Starter Set, my eye makeup application has never been easier. The set comes with five brushes and a travel case which is great for on-the-go use. The brushes are super soft and perfect for blending your eyeshadow for a flawless finish.

For my everyday eye look I use the Base Shadow Brush all over my eyelid with a neutral shadow, then blend a taupe shade into my crease with the Deluxe Crease Brush. So simple! I always add a shimmery highlight to the inner corners of my eye and on my browbone with the Accent Brush. The Brow Brush is great for shaping and defining your brows with an eyebrow powder. Just add mascara and you’re done! If I want to amp it up, I use the Pixel-point Eyeliner Brush to add a winged eyeliner with a black liquid liner. On weekends, I like to use darker eyeshadow shades to create a smoky eye. This set is great for anyone who is looking to up their eye makeup game. From makeup beginners to total pros, you can’t go wrong with these brushes.”
