Top fives

In this week’s GOOP newsletter Gwyneth P asked her pals to name their top 10 fave party tracks. Given she mixes in some rather influential circles – pals included DJ AM, Samantha Ronson, and, of course, a member of Coldplay – I’m sure readers are relishing the results.
Now Gwynnie beats me in the music stakes but I know a key beauty player or two so I asked them to talk top fives…
Ere Perez, founder of Ere Perez Natural Cosmetics
1. Esp Massage Oil from Bondi markets – great for moisturising and pregnant tums
3. Glenugie Peak Organics Creamed Honey – use one teaspoon every day in tea or on toast and as a face mask once a week
4. Natural Scents Deodorant – roll on in Geranium – it’s a great deodorant and is aluminium free
5. Nutrimetics Apricot Kernel Oil – use as a hair treatment once a week
Rebecca Morris Williams, founder of BECCA
1. BAKEL Skincare P-lipic – a perfect hydrating, nourishing, soothing and protective fluid that visible improves the skin – so gentle that is can be used immediately after laser treatments
2. BECCA Mineral SPF Primer SPF30 – SPF30 in mineral zinc form and the perfect base for make-up as it’s non-greasy and completely weightless
3. My new BECCA Boudoir Skin Mineral Powder Foundation (out in August so pop it on your wish list beauties) – it’s so quick to apply, offers great coverage and looks so natural, I can even wear it to the gym
4. ghd straightening irons – I use them to twist and create kinked hair
5. Kit Nail Polish – great colours and inexpensive so you can buy a lot. I would not been seen dead without toe nail polish on
Juli W co-founder of Musq Mineral Makeup
1. Musq Mineral Foundations – the only foundations my sensitive skin can wear and the only mineral brand worn on the runway at RAFW!
2. Huge amounts of the super nutritious avocado – I eat most of it but save a bit to make a face masque. Our house rule is to eat something green every day (lollies don't count!) and avocados are a fave
3. Eminence Organics Hungarian Herbal Mud – settles and detoxes my oily skin from within. Used every second day for two weeks, this gem is the best cystic acne treatment you'll find!
4. Aspect Red-less Serum – an incredible, professional-strength cocktail of anti-ageing nutrients that leaves skin soft like silk. It also happens to be a miracle-worker for anyone suffering rosacea
5. Everescents Deep Hair treatment – the rapid effect, the scent...scent-sational
Sam Sample, founder and owner of Be Genki
1. Bernard Jensen Dry Skin Body Brush – designed to exfoliate and promote beautiful soft skin (among a million other things), and it really does!
2. Be Genki Body Oils – helps to keep my body soft, smooth, glowing and lightly scented - heaven in a bottle!
3. Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler – I curl my lashes every morning and the difference never fails to amaze me… Shu Uemura’s is the “queen” of eyelash curlers
4. Ere Prerz Natural Almond Oil Mascara (in black) – great natural mascara with no nasty chemicals and a whole lot of good stuff (organic sweet almond oil) that cares for my lashes, whilst also making them lovely jet black
5. YSL Touche Éclat (Radiant Touch) – there’s a reason that this is a best seller for YSL. It works. I am yet to find another concealer that has the same amazing effect
So there we have, secrets spilled…

What would be in your top five?

Some great products mentioned here. I love the fact that mainstream makeup is becoming more organic and natural and not just the chemcial ridden stuff. Well done BH
