Hannah, QLD asked us, “What is the best kind of non-clump mascara that produces thick and long lashes?”
Well Hannah, what kind of mascara will give you the result you desire depends on a couple of key factors, these include:
- The length of your natural lashes
- The natural lift of your lashes (or lack thereof)
- How healthy your lashes are
Although one of the best ways to discover which magic wands are rocking lashes right now is to snoop around beautyheaven’s mascara reviews, it really does depend on your lash type and specific needs/wants.
Are your lashes short and kind of stumpy? You need a nutrient-infused mascara to help your lashes grow. Here’s what you should lay your hands on…
glominerals gloLash lengthening mascara
Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup Longest Lash Mascara – we love the unconventional ‘soft’ tube.
Mary Kay® Lash-Lengthening Mascara
Are your lashes poker-straight? You should be using these to score some shape for your flutter…
Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara
Estée Lauder MagnaScopic Maximum Volume Mascara
Rimmel London Sexy Curves Mascara – promises up to 70 per cent curvier-looking lashes.
Are your lashes thin and kind of non-existent? You need something that will create voluminous lashes without being clumpy, try these on for size…
Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara
ARTISTRY Ideal Mascara
Max Factor Masterpiece MAX - delivers bold, thick lashes with up to 400 per cent volume compared to bare lashes – and no clumping!

I still adore my Maybelline Define-A-Lash for a subtle effect. As the formula is light as well, it doesn't weigh down my lashes after curling.

I would love to try ALL of them, but it's an expensive way of finding the right mascara for yourself! My lashes are fair, short and almost non existant.Might try the Masterpiece Max by Max Factor.I actually use Max Factor Calorie 2,000,waterproof and it's not too bad. PS.The Rimmel London Sexy Curves Mascara sounds great too! OOOHH what to do!!

I wouldn't mind trying the Estee Launder or the Rimmel Mascara's, I'm currently using Revlon Lash Fantasy which is fantastic.

I've been using Covergirl Lash Exact. I find its great, Comes off easily in the shower with cleanser. Great article though, and am interested in trying out the Max Factor one now.

Pretty picture - this is the same one in the "Can we do it - yes we can" thread in the make-up forum, where we have tried to copy the look.

I had to smile at the picture! Just love those long lashes.
Max Factor 2000 calorie is my staple for volume. Rimmel sexy curves is my new fav for curves along with Mirenesse sexy curves one.

I find combing out eyelashes after applying mascara with a proper mascara brush (that's clean!) really helps in getting rid of clumps. I love that eyeshadow look in the picture.

Mirenesse is fantastic! No panda eyes and it's so easy to wash off at the end of the day. I wouldn't mind trying the Jane Iredale one though...

I've got try false lashes, I have a cheap set just waiting for experimentation. I'm always trying new mascaras and never stay loyal to one brand.
As soon as I say the pic I was thinking we can do that =D

Aww, that's cute Stay C! I LOVE this eye look in the pic! Decision, decisions so many wonderful mascaras to choose from. I'd like to try the Jane Iredale one as they have so many different cool colours to choose from. I also keep meaning to give false eyelashes a try. I'm sure the effect of falsies would be worth the effort! : )

Great suggestions here. I want a mascara that works without making my lashes look fake and weighed down with too much product but creates a long, full, look with intense colour.... Will check some of these out.

I love the Clinique High Impact Curling mascara! My lashes are already a little curly but this gives them that extra oomph!

Like HMad I love the Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara. I've tried dozens of different mascaras but I always come back to this one. Does the job and doesn't clump.

I suffer from poker straight, short, stumpy AND thin lashes =( i hate them so much lol
The only thing that keeps them curled is an eyelash curler and then using waterproof mascara because it dries quick so that the curl doesn't have time to droop back down from the added weight! So far I love Maybelline Full n' Soft for a daytime look with an overcoat of the new Revlon Double Twist or Lancome Hypnose to add some drama for nighttime

I love volume and that thick false lash look and MF's Masterpiece has been on my list for a while - just as soon as I finish my HG Dior blackout.
