If only this came in waterproof!
Interesting technique! Wriggling the brush has never ever crossed my mind before, and I use mascara everyday

Whoa Deb you convinced me! I think Im going to check it out, usually Chemist warehouse have good sales haha even better!
My lashes are so straight so what I always do and though it does take a bit of time is I curl my lashes first (from base gradually to the tip) then apply mascara like the technique Deb has shown then use a spare mascara wand and comb through to pick up any clumps or lashes sticking together.
Then after letting it dry completely, I use my eyelash curler and repeat the same step like above and lastly use the eyelash curler one last time and thats it!
The reason I do this is my lashes starts to weigh down even after the first coat so I have to lift it back up!

I use Dior Show and the ladies at the counter always recommend the wriggling technique. I think it actually says to do it on the instructions too. It was the first time I had heard of doing it, and it seems to work.

I've tried this mascara, got a freebie from Mayblline NY. I must say it stacks up to my favourite mirenesse mascara. Even though it it doesn't say it's waterproof, i really must say that i didn't have a problem with it, no smudging and even when my eyes were watery it still didn't run or smudge. it's a winner in my books

I'd love to try this mascara! That's how I apply my mascara, I don't really see any other way. I find mascara does nothing if you don't wriggle the wand.

Well Deb, I do the same as you and I also tend to hold the wand after the wiggle stage and lift the lashes at the tips for a few seconds which makes them curl up even more!

I've used Maybelline before and looks like, I am going to use this one now. I've always done the wiggle thing when applying mascara. Jealous of your lashes though Deb. :-P

Yeah this technique is the only thing that really works! Maybelline mascaras are awesome and used to be my absolute favorite ones until I tried Cover Girl Lash Blast and now I mainly using that one...Haven't tried the one in the video, heard a lot of things about it how it's a lot better than the original Lash Stiletto!

I agree, that mascara looks looks great Deb. I always use this 'wiggling' technique as well, I can't remember where I learnt it, but I'll never go back to just swiping it on! On the topic of girl's always opening their mouths when doing mascara - I actually don't! I heard that little 'fact' ages ago and (for some strange reason) decided that I was going to make a point of NOT opening my mouth, and now I'm just used to it, lol!

Oh great tip. So it's all in the tip! This will also explain why so many of my mascara's dry so quickly- me pumping the bottle attempting to mix it.
