Best in Beauty Awards 2013 Vote
These facial wipes are so handy for removing make-up quickly and easily, especially when travelling. It has a nice light and pleasant scent. They are effective at removing my make-up including stubborn eye make-up which is impressive. After use my skin feels soft, clean and refreshed. This is another quality product in the Burt's Bees skin care range. This is a worthy product nominated for the Best in Beauty Awards 2013 and it has my vote.

Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes are packaged in a wrapper with a plastic safety seal. The seal ensures that the towelettes never dry out. The towelettes have a subtle botanical scent. Each towelette isn't heavily saturated with cleansing fluid, but they contain just enough fluid to do the job (I'd prefer a bit more cleansing fluid for heavy makeup). The towelettes feel soft on my face.
If you've been wearing lots of makeup that day, then facial wipes aren't the most efficient method for makeup removal. They are more of a convenience when you're travelling or just exhausted. Burt's Bees towelettes do an adequate job of cleansing my day's makeup. I never experienced any eye or skin irritation whilst using these towelettes except for one occasion when I was removing some non-waterproof mascara and eye pencil. I think I may have been pressing on my eye area too hard, and one eye felt a bit irritated for about five minutes afterwards (no big deal).
I recommend this product.

Not for me
I usually love Burts Bees products, but unfortunately these don't seem to agree with me. They really sting my face and eyesquite badly. They had quite a pleasant scent, but perhaps that's what the problem was. I found that they didn't remove my make up all that well either. I didn't finish the packet, and I definitely wouldn't repurchase.

I quite like this product. It has a nice scent without being too overpowering. It effectively moves all traces of make-up and doesn't dry out skin like a lot of wipes.

standard level facial wipes- better out there!
i bought these on the Priceline 40% off skincare sale as i thought i would give this a go, and use these on late nights or very heavy makeup days.
as far as facial wipes go, this does the job, but not as well as i thought it would. they dry out really quickly for me, and their size is a little smaller when comparing to the Yes To Tomatoes facial towelettes that i bought simultaneously that day. It also has a really perfumed scent to it- whether it is the white tea or something else, i'm not sure, but it is quite overpowering and for me, it's an assault to my nose!
what i like about this is that it is natural, as with all Burt's Bees products. they come with 30 towelettes (i guess to make up for the smaller size). after use (and i did have to remove make up thouroughly), my skin felt refreshed and clean, albeit a little tight (as they contain alcohol, like most facial towelettes).
overall, i am impartial to these wipes. although they do the job, there's nothing special about them. i think i'll use them for after gym or exercise sessions because of the strong perfume.

My go to wipes (Glosscars 2013)
I have pretty temperamental skin at times and find my skin can only cope with using face wipes either every second day or changing brands before I even finish a packet. I go red and my face just burns.
So I am so happy to have gotten these lovely wipes from Burts Bees (courtesy of my partner). I have been using them religiously every day to remove my makeup before cleansing and have had no trouble with redness or burning.
My face is left makeup free and clean, I don't even need to rinse as there is no residue left on my face.
The wipes themselves have a fresh scent, which isn't overpowering or offensive.
The best thing about the wipes though is that they are natural, so no hidden nasties!
Overall, I have to say that these are amazing wipes and I will no longer buy other brands.

Not for me
I really really didn't like these wipes.
The smell was overwhelming, and stayed around my face for ages, which was very unpleasant. It's a herbally, florally fragrance, which I absolutely could not stand, but a friend told me she loves the smell, so I guess it's personal preference.
I found the effectiveness of these wipes to be pretty poor too. I wiped off my make up, then used a foaming cleanser, but when I wiped my face with a toner, there was still some make up left, and my eye make up was very much still there.
Because these worked so badly, I felt I had to rub more, which I did not want to do, especially around the eyes.
These might be ok as just refresher wipes on bare skin.
I did like the plastic lid thing, it's much better than flimsy stickers other wipes have, and I guess these would be good to travel with.
Overall I did not like these towelettes at all, and will not recommend or repurchase.

Irritated my skin
I usually like this brand but these wipes really made my face sting so much that I had to rinse my skin with water straight away.
I gave the rest of the pack to my sister and she had no problem with them so maybe it's just me.

Nice to have, but not essential
I'm not a massive fan of facial wipes, but I do like to have them on hand for when I'm feeling lazy. I like the Burt's Bees ones because they don't leave that film that a lot of others can, and they feel nice and refreshing. However, I don't find them particularly useful for removing makeup, and really only use them at the end of a day I've been makeup free, to get rid of the SPF moisturiser I've been wearing through the day.
They're a nice product to have around, but I don't think they're a must have.
