Bobbi Brown - Beige Shimmer Brick
Beige Shimmer Brick
- Overall rating:
Bobbi Brown Beige Shimmer Brick is a shimmering, brush-on powder that creates a candlelight glow. It can be used after blush and works well with pink, neutral and peach blush shades.
Sweep the Face Blender Brush through all five shades of Shimmer Brick Compact and dust lightly on cheekbones after blush. Focus on applying shimmer on the top of cheekbones - where light naturally hits the face - for the most flattering look.
To add a highlight to eyes apply the lightest shade in the compact just under browbone. Use fingertips or the Eye Smudge Brush.

Rose Shade is a Great Blush for Winter!
I have used this mainly as a blush and it gives a very natural look. I own the Rose shade and generally only use it in cooler months because the tone is more suited for it.
I feel this shade doesn't suit my skin tone as a highlighter though as all the shades in it are quite pink.
The size is quite large but it is quite pricey so it has lasted for ages.

Glamorous product with a dual function
After reviewing the MAC strobe liquid, which I use until this day, my hunger for highlighters/shimmers came full circle again (ha ha). I was in the CBD when I picked up BB's shimmer brick after practically DROOLING over the 'Scotch on the Rocks' collection. Honestly, amazing. But so pricey, 'limited edition' truly does give me anxiety, I hope they dont scrap it after the holidays. Anyway, this brick is apart of the
'Scotch on the Rocks' collection, for reference at the counter. I've given the product four stars as I feel I do prefer a liquid highlight, in which the distribution of shimmer can be controlled a little better. But this product wasn't too shabby. Mind you, I wore it yesterday for half the day in the sun (the sun hit my cheekbones and temples and whoa, pearly-ness= check) and today for work, but I still feel that's given me a sufficient idea of the product.
Something I have not yet tried, but a major component of why I spent the money on this product is the fact that these shades, which are great, nice and warm/neutral, on their own, can be used as eyeshadows. I highly suggest using it as both shimmer/bronzer and eyeshadow to really get your money's worth. From the way I applied it (just a swirl of the brush in the product i.e. all the shades and swiping and blending on cheek bones and temples) and the staying power in the sun I'd safely say it the individual shades would be minimal fallout, if any, and the staying power should mimic the staying power for elsewhere on the face. In case anybody is unaware of exactly where to apply shimmer, it's quite a unique placement for everybody, depending on individual needs and capacity for a luminous look to the face. A common method, and one I use with all highlighters/shimmers I try that are powders as opposed to liquid is a little with my finger on the cupids bow, using a small brush and applying a little under the eyebrow bone to give the look of a raised eyebrow, on each cheekbone and on my temples :)
I can't be sure about the barbie-esque (strong pink) blushes, so I won't comment on it but as BB did mention in the description of the shimmer brick, it is also ideal for those wearing peachy/peachy-pink blushes (in my case) and it's very true. I'm sure if this proves right the other Bobbi Brown suggestions would too, so if you're a neutral or pink blush give this a try.

Love love love!
Absolutely love this BB shimmer brick! It is so versatile as well. Can be used as a highlighter on the cheekbones, bronzer to deepen tan with a bronze glow & eyeshadow. Lasts all day on me. No scent and does not break out my sensitive skin.

LOVE IT SO MUCH!
Bobbi Brown's beige shimmer brick is my absolute favourite highlighter for day-wear. I have quite pale skin, so a lot of highlighters I find can look too glittery and pigmented on me. My other favourite highlighter is the Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer, however it is so pigmented that I find it looks too intensive for day-to-day wear. This is where the beige shimmer brick comes in handy. It provides a gorgeous, candle-lit glow to the skin when swept along the cheekbones, browbone and cupid's bow. This highlighter is very long-lasting and doesn't fade throughout the day. Additionally, I haven't found fall-out to be a problem at all. I'd recommend this highlighter to those with pale-medium skin. People with darker skin tones may find this highlighter a bit too light, in which case I'd recommend the bronze shimmerbrick. My only real complaint about this product is the price. In Australia, it retails for $72 AUD. While this product is good, I don't think it merits this kind of a price tag. Overall, this is a stunning highlighter that provides a subtle, long-lasting glow and is suitable for day to day usage.

I like this as it has a little shimmer & doesn't make my skin look dirty.. Also such a buildable product... Can use for a few different things.

I use this shimmer brick for so many things, it definitely has multiple uses. I use it every day to contour my cheeks by using the lightest shade as highlighter and a medium brown for a bronzer which achieves a sun kissed look. This brick offers a nice shimmer and is also great to be used as eye shadow. I use it for a smoky brown eye on a night out or just a nice every day colour when using the lighter colours.
I love this brick, it looks nice and I love the packaging. The only downside I have to this product is that it is very expensive but I can justify the splurge as it lasts ages and I am yet to replace it.

These colour are just like the mini versions of the naked palette, except it is in a portable size and it can also be used in different purposes.
I use this as an eye shadow and highlighter. This product is great for inner corner highlight and under the brow. The many shades of brown and pink makes a great everyday eye look, which is pretty natural for workwear or uniwear. I used a primer once, and deliberately packed colours onto my lids for a dramatic look without being too over the top, and I really loved the look - I wear it again if I have too! It brought definition to my face, and I no longer look flat or ignored in photos. Love this product - recommend it to officers or uni students.

I LOVE the Bobbi Brown Beige Shimmer Brick.
I use this during the warmer months and swap it up with the Rose Shimmer Brick in the cooler months.
The Shimmer Brick is great because it has so many uses - use it as an all over shimmer, or pick out a specific colour to use an an eye shadow or highlight under browbones specifically.
