My HG of Glosses - bring back Cabana Tan!

I love it! This is my favourite all time lip gloss. I go through glosses, like kids go through a tin of milo!

The Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine range is my HG of lip glosses! I just simply adore the glossy texture, the longevity, the colour range, the applicator and the sheen the gloss gives my lips!

It feels so nice on my lips (no stickiness or grittiness) and just leaves them feeling lovely and moisturised.

My all time favourite colour is #18 Cabana Tan which has been discontinued. I am thoroughly gutted by this as no other colour comes close.

Honestly I have tried so many other brands of gloss (think Juicy Tubes to Diorific Plastic Shine to Maybelline Shine Sensation and all inbetween) and nothing comes close to the Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine range.

As with all of Mirenesse's products, I highly recommend getting them on sale at TVSN or when Mirenesse sends a Specials email (which is everyday).

Perhaps not a great plumper, but a great product anyway!

I received this product in my glosscars best of the best pack at the end of last year and before using it had never used anything by Mirenesse. I'd heard mixed reviews on their products but was keen to try this one out as I love lip products. The colour I have is no. 17 which is a gorgeous sugary purple/pink colour which looks great with almost anything. The tube is very stylish and a reasonable size too and I find its quite light so very handy to carry around in my bag. I’ve carried it around in my handbag a few months now and the tube still looks very new on the outside except one scratch on the gold band, which is still pretty impressive to me as on most of my others which are similar to this the writing has worn off by this point, but it is still as good as new on the Mirenesse lipgloss I find the applicator wand is well designed, very easy to use and gives a smooth even coverage with a little shimmer. This product is low on stickiness when worn; which is one point I always look out for, as I dislike sticky glosses. Now in terms of this being a lip plumper, well I wouldn't really say it performs well in that area, my lips perhaps look a little fuller (but maybe that is just because they are shiny and moisturised) but I wouldn't say this is anymore so than an average lipgloss. I would agree this product provides moisturisation as claimed, but definitely not for 24 hours….at least not without numerous applications. Without trying this product I would have said that it was way to expensive (and I still think it is rather pricey as for me it basically is just a lipgloss) but now I’ve tried it I have fallen in love with it and I think I am going to have to buy another one if this one ever runs out! So overall yes I absolutely love this product, but it may not be the product for you if you are after ‘lip plumping’.

amazing!

This has become my new favourite lip gloss- it just does everything. I have this gloss in No. 38 which is a very sheer pink with hints of pink glitter. By itself it looks like a clear gloss and ontop of lipsticks,it makes them glossy and gives them a very polished finish.It a self renewing gloss- even hours after application, it looks glossy. It makes your lips look lucious- but theres no stingy feeling and also haydrates and nourishes your lips. It really feels like velvet on your lips and is absolutely not goopy or sticky.
This has become my handbag staple and id love to try out more colours

My favourite lip gloss

A couple of years ago Mirenesse had a special where you could get a four pack of these lip glosses for the price of one so I bought it on impulse. I am so glad that I did because these very quickly became my favourite lip glosses.

I wear them all the time and they are so flattering. I find that they are appropriate for both day and night wear as the colour is not over the top but it still leaves you looking like you have gone to an effort. They do make your lips appear fuller but that is more due to the shimmer than an actual plumping effect. I guess they create the illusion of fuller lips rather than actually plumping them like other glosses do. I have a decent amount of fullness to my lips so this creates more than enough illusion of fullness, though people with thin lips may not experience a sufficient plumping effect.

The glosses have no yucky taste, like some glosses do. ie they dont leave that gross taste in the back of your throat after they have been applied. So they are a real pleasure to wear.

As they are a gloss, the colour doesn't last that much longer than an hour so they do need to be reapplied regularly, but thatis part and parcel with using a gloss so not a concern for me.

I have olive skin and dark hair and have not found one colour that does not suit me. I think that these are incredibly flattering and that most complexions would suit them.

Super glossy.

Like all glosses it will be more intense and last longer if applied over a liner but it's not necessary to get great results with this product.

Pretty color

I didn't notice my lips any more plumper than usual when I used this, but I continue to use it because of it's non-sticky formula and pretty color! It leaves my lips feeling hydrated and has a nice shimmer to it. One of the only lipglosses I use :)

Mirenesse Magic

Mirenesse's Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine is one of my favourite lip plumpers. I have a few of them in my makeup collection. The colours are lovely, although they could do with a larger variety of shades. I love the packaging, really cute. I love how long lasting this colour is on my lips, it's not at all sticky, leaves my lips feeling smooth and soft. There's no gross taste to it, like some. It does make my lips look a bit fuller, I wouldn't say it "plumps" them, but mayeb the colour deflection or something gives it the effect. Although I do get a slight tingling sensation on my lips for 30 mins after application. Apparently this is normal. I give this 5 stars because it is gorgeous to wear on your lips, and the colour is enduring.

Really like it but lets get real.. it's just a lip gloss.

Mirenesse make claims that this plumps, instantly improves the appearance of dry lips and has 24hr hydrating ability.

No, no, no and no. These glosses contain colour so if you apply them on very dry lips you are likely to end up with uneven application appearance because it will settle in cracks and dents. This doesn't look good on anyone. Ever.

This stuff doesn't do much in the way of plumping either. It claims to contain micro collagen.. If so there isn't enough to make a visible difference.

As for 24hr moisturising? Sure if you apply it every 30 - 60 minutes for a 24hr period.

The colours are pretty, it does look nice on but at that price it is absolutely not worth it!! There are many other products that give the same results at a much cheaper price.
