Black Honey - gorgeous!

I purchased Clinique Almost Lipstick in the cult shade 'Black Honey'. I was curious and wanted to see for myself if this lipstick lived up to the hype. I must say that I'm not disappointed! The colour looks a bit dark and scary in the tube, but applied on my lips it turns out like a very sheer pretty plum jam colour. The lipstick feels great on my lips. It's really hydrating. The longevity of the colour isn't bad considering it's a sheer lip balm kind of product, and I do get a couple of hours of wear out of it before I need to reapply. I love the packaging, it looks very classy. I wear this lipstick quite a lot, both day time and night time. I think this colour would probably suit most people. At $36 it is a little expensive, but it's a very high quality product from one of my favourite brands. I was keen to try other shades of Almost Lipstick, but they seem to have disappeared.

Fuss free lip colour

Amongst the plethora of lipcolour options out there, I'm not sure if Cliniques almost lipstick stands out as a show stopper but It is very nice. It isn't sticky and the colour is lovely. The formula is sheer and moisturising but has far more staying power than a gloss. The colour I have is Black Honey which I was given for Christmas. It's a deep wine colour in the tube but is sheer on the lips and adds depth without being too bold or OTT for a daytime look. I'm getting quite a bit of wear out of it for summer, but I think it's going to be a lovely winter colour too.
The packaging is very luxe - a slimline solid metal tube which is quite long and easy to slip into a small clutch or purse without the bulk of a traditional lipstick bullet. There is a little bit of a petroleum jelly type smell from this product which I'm not a huge fan of but thankfully it doesn't stick around once applied. The cost is... well it's not cheap, but it's more affordable than some department store brands. I would rather buy a tube of this and know I'm going to love it than cheap knock offs and be disappointed.

Black Honey

I have only ever tried this lipstick in the shade Black Honey, which just happens to be one of my most loved lip colours! Black Honey looks almost black in the tube which is frightening at first. However, once you apply it to your lips, you realise the colour is very sheer and gives a lovely plum boost to your natural lip colour. This lipstick has a balmy texture which means it applies like a breeze, looks so natural on the lips, and is super duper comfortable to wear. It is also not sticky or waxy on the lips, and it feels as though you're wearing nothing at all It has moderate staying power, and fades naturally throughout the day if you don't happen to touch up. Overall this is just a wonderful everyday lip colour that just about any woman could pull off, there is good reason why this has been a cult favourite for many years!

Black Honey

I bought the Black Cherry gift set and included was a full sized black cherry almost lipstick. The tube is super slim and looks very sleek. This colour is considered a cult favourite so I just had to try it for myself. On the tube, the colour looks very dark and even vampish. A swatch on my hand told me otherwise, it is a sheer and moisturising balm like lipstick. It feels very soft and is quite sheer. The added SPF is a great addition. I think that this would be perfect for everyday wear as it feels hydrating, soft and is glossy. It is a perfect combination of a lipstick, lip balm and lip gloss. This is my second Clinique makeup product and again I am in love!

Flirty Honey.

Flirty Honey looks like a bright pink in the tube with micro shimmer that is difficult to see with the naked eye. On the lips it is a 'my lips but better' pink that offers a pretty, feminine shine without being over the top.

The packaging of these lip products are so damn cool, a brushed metal base with a smooth and shiny metal top makes them really chic and give them a classy look and feel, they are thin and long which sets them apart from typical lip products.

The formula is really nice, glides on, provides shine and a soft amount of colour and has hydrating properties, I would classify them as a lipstick/balm/gloss hybrid, unfortunately they aren't super long lasting so reapplication will be necessary but that doesn't bother me in the slightest because pulling these babies out in public makes me feel fancy! Friends and strangers often ask me "what is that!?!"

At $36 a piece these can be considered pricey but I love the look and the formula so I definitely consider them well worth it.

Perfect for sheer, easy lip colour

I have these in a few different colours. My favourite is Lovely Honey. Lovely Honey provides just enough colour to my lips to be noticeable, but it is still a very natural finish as it is close to my own lip colour.
These lipsticks are moisturising to wear. They are so easy to apply. As they are 'almost lipstick' I can apply on the go, without worrying that I will get the product everywhere.

Very Moisturising

The shade I have is Flirty Honey and I find it perfect for my skin tone. It's natural looking and glossy without too much shine.

I love the slimline design, rather than a chubby lipstick - more compact for my handbag.
.
It goes on easily, isn't sticky or tacky and the colour lasts.
I suffer from dry lips but I find this to be very moisturising.

The perfect in-between!

I have the Almost Lipstick in Flirty Honey and I love it!

I really love using this because I hate lipglosses (too sticky and goopy) and I'm always afraid I'll look like a kid who got into her mother's make-up with a full blown lipstick. This is a great in-between product. It's glossy like a balm with enough colour to make you look "made up".

It is also quite long wearing, but does need to be re-applied a few times during the day. Overall, a great product to keep in your handbag.

Pretty good!

i got a free sample of this at Clinique gift time. I like that this seems to finish off my look nicely, but the colour (shy honey) could be a little brighter. I know it's only 'almost lipstick' but still, it was so subtle that i cannot imagine anyone paying $36 for what is essentially a lip balm. That said, very moisturising and feels nice on, like all clinique lipsticks.
