Our favourite beauty products of the year

It’s been a BIG year for beauty, a mega time for make-up, a ginormous leap into gorgeousness and lots of cult crazes in cosmetics. We share what floated our boats in 2008, we'd love to hear your favourite bits and bobs of the year too…

“The Grown range – all of it, especially the Shampoo and Conditioner! This organic range is Australian made and cleverly combines organic, antioxidant rich ingredients in products that actually work, with none of the nasties. That scores big points in my book.” – Laina, bh National Advertising Manager
My 2008 fave is Nivea SUN Light Feel Daily Face Veil SPF 30. I love being outdoors but hate the feel of greasy sunscreen so this has changed my life and probably saved my skin. I apply every morning underneath my bronzer; it's so light and not at all greasy; it feels like a regular moisturising lotion. Love it! – Leanne, bh Managing Editior
“My favourite product to come out this year would have to be Revlon Custom Creations Foundation – I love the endless possibilities of the dial – whether going ooh la naturale or beautifully bronzed, your foundation can now always match your skin tone! Genius!” – Olivia, bh Online Assistant
“Oh don’t do this to me! There have been so many fab products this year so I can only give you my shortlist, it would be impossible to choose just one: Bloom Nail Polish (pictured in Josephine), Good Skin Megabalm™ Ultra Soothing Lip Treatment and Covergirl Lashblast Volume Blasting Mascara.” – Sarah, bh Online Editor

If everyone loves the lashblast so much I should give it another go. I didn't agree with it first time round but who knows.

Mineral make-up was the biggest winner for me this year. I love how it keeps my skin clear and dosen't make it break out. I loved the Bloom range of nailpolish. Such a fab collection to rival OPI.

I liked the Nivea Face Veil. Luckily for me BH sent me not 1 but 2 bottles of the stuff. It will get used for sure. Its a great product that doesn't have the sunscreen feel.

This year I loved nail polish. Estee Lauder in coral rose. Beautiful for summer. also I loved the shiseido skin care pureness cleanser and their night cream. Their sunscreen was also a skin saver that didn't give pimples. Mainly couldn't live without Clinique all about eyes concealer which was always in my bag incase a spot came up. My long lasting lipstick in Bois de rose was also beautiful. Great colour. Mainly concealer, sunscreen and lipstick were the bare essentials.

ooh i can imagine how hard it would of been to select just 6 products! the covergirl lastblast sounds amazing, but i must admit, im not really a fan of the orange tube, it does nothing for me. ah well as long as the contents are worthy, i dont mind
