How-to: look like you’re not wearing any make-up

You don’t have to wear next to no make-up to look as though you’re wearing next to no make-up. Being a barefaced beauty is easier than you may think – all you need are a few enhancing products that will leave you looking flawless, without seeming too overdone.
Now, for people that can wear tinted moisturisers with no worries – well, count yourself lucky! For those of us who aren’t quite comfortable with that level of coverage, there is an answer for us too. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 offers light to medium coverage, but is pretty pigmented so it successfully rectifies an uneven skin tone, while feeling light as a feather on your skin.
For a stare that doesn’t look overdone, it’s important to opt for natural hues that complement your colouring. This means no ‘blackest black’ mascara unless your locks are jet black. Lighter-haired folk are best to stick to a brown, or black/brown mascara. We love Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara Thickening in Black/Brown as it puts moisture back into your lashes, making them healthier in the long run.
If you’re an eyeshadow kind of girl, then you’re probably hard-pressed to go without an eye hue – and that’s okay. You just need to find a shade that’s not too powdery or creamy (colour that sinks into creases doesn’t look that natural after all!). Revlon Beyond Natural Cream to Powder Eye Shadow is a quad that features four natural shadow hues that – although initially creamy – dry to a perfect consistency. I find the lighter ones give my eyelids a slight sheen without being obvious.
For the lips, stick to something with a slight tint, or no hint of a hue at all. I quite like the ‘just been sucking on a berry look’ where you’re left with a slight pink lip stain. Bloom Lip Tints offer a sheer wash of colour that’s moisturising too, so you needn’t worry about your pout drying out.

Do you prefer the barefaced look, or a proper coverage?

I love the bare face looked, its very natural and easy for me to wear to school. Can't wait to try this one out for the begining of the school year! (:

I prefer the bare faced looks. It so good for everyday, and I find it so much simpler than going all out.

I bought my mum the Bobbi Brown foundation for Christmas and she is loving it!
I love the fresh faced natural look. It's something I try to achieve however as a long time acne sufferer, I don't feel confident going out at night without full coverage makeup.
I'm working very hard to get my skin 100% (or close) clear with all scaring, uneven skin tone and scaring minimised so I can wear less makeup when going out and feel confident
It's nice to see who you really are, not to have to hide it away with makeup

I like both looks. Prefer bare faced look for casual weekends but full coverage for special occasions or just when I want to look the best I can.

I pretty much need full coverage now. A couple of years ago I had great skin and only used a scrape of mineral foundation and that was all I needed. I didn't really use eye makeup either because I've got quite large eyes and they often look better without anything on them. Now that I'm wearing more makeup I tend to use eyeshadow and mascara to balance things out.

Like everyone else has said the minimal makeup look is something that I prefer to have for normal everyday wear, the more done up look is more for special occasions for me :)

I like bare and full faced depending on the occasion. This article is apt as lately with the weather here being so hot I have been opting for the natural bare faced look. I have even tried an Australis creamy shadow lately its in a pen applicator and is so fast to apply, its great because its colour helps give me a clean, wide awake look even when i'm really tired.

I love this article because it's pretty much the usual look I aim for on a daily basis. I also seem to aim for that look with the clothes I pick too - even when I go out on special occasions I don't ever want to look like I've 'tried too hard'.
That 'sucking on a berry' look is something I'd like to try and also the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 sounds perfecto!

I suit a natural look so try to use makeup to compliment my features, cover pigmentation and put a bit of colour on my face so I don't look tired and washed out.

It depends on the occasion or how good (or bad) my skin is looking but usually I prefer a 'polished yet natural' look.

Definitely the barefaced look, myself. The most makeup I wear is a lipstain.

I dont wear much makeup as I cant find a foundation I'm happy with. I usually wear mascara, maybe some two tone light brown eye shadow and a bit of lippy. I'd love to try the Bobbi Brown foundation and see what it wears like. The bare faced look is awesome simplicity.
