Catwalk to can do

Trawling though the latest images from Paris Fashion Week, I came across the Karl Lagerfeld show and instantly fell in love with the strong-yet-seductive make-up look.

Despite their skyscraper-high dos, the models looked the image of understated sexiness with their scarlet pouts and slightly flushed cheeks lending an alluring, feminine air to the more edgy clothes and hair.

And unlike some of the other beauty looks to emerge from the recent runways, this one is super simple to recreate! Here’s what MAC make-up artist, Emmanuel Sammartino, used to create this look for the Lagerfeld show:

Face:
A sheer base was created using MAC Face and Body Foundation, concealor was applied where needed, and MAC Cream Color Base in Vintage Rose applied with Sammartino’s fingers to slightly flush the models’ cheeks. (Also try: Natural Glamour AIRMIST Airbrush Foundation, and Bloom Sheer Colour Cream in Shy).

Eyes:
MAC Eye Shadow in Handwritten was blended up from the lash line to wash over the eyelids, before MAC Eye Shadow in Notoriety was swept from the lid to the crease of the eye to form a halo of colour. (Also try: Australis Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Sea Urchin, and Bourjois Pastel Lumiere in Marron Glace).

Lips:
MAC Lipstick in Danger was brushed onto the lips and finished with a more-than-generous slick of clear gloss. (Also try: Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lip Color in Summer Sunset).
