Beauty redefined

There’s a new brand of ‘beautiful’ about lately, and I call it the return of the sweet and innocent. You know, the subtly sexy. It’s almost the polar opposite of the vampy, sultry kind of sexy, and can be achieved with something as simple as a pouty lip, a pretty doe eye or a structured ‘do.
Take Glee star, Dianna Agron, for example - the girl has it all. Donned as one of the best looking people in the world at present, she kicks serious butt in the beauty stakes – and the coolest part? It doesn’t even look like she’s trying.
Want to mimic this look at home? Sure thing. Just keep these few tips and tricks in mind…
- Less is definitely more. When you pack on too much make-up, your pores can appear larger, so it’s best to use a light base that provides an even coverage. We like: BECCA Boudoir Skin Mineral Powder Foundation.
- Frame your peepers. Don’t overdo it with a plethora of product. Why not try limiting your mascara to your top lashes, or for a fuller effect, applying false lashes to your upper lash line and leaving it at that.
- Stick to a stain. When you’re at an event and can’t see yourself pulling out your lippy every 15 minutes to re-apply, sticking to a stain will give longevity to your lip colour and make you look as if you’ve been munching on raspberries. (We like: MAC Longwear Lipstain Marker)
- Go structured. Isobel Lucas-style beach waves are cool at times, but a more structured ‘do really is your ticket to scrumptious-town (capital city of Beauty-ville)
Literally, the only thing I’d add to this Gleek is a little brow attention – I just know a bit of Benefit Speed Brow would do wonders for her face framers, as it tints, tames and sets brows in two seconds flat! Can you say, awesome?

Who do you think is the most beautiful celeb about town right now?
Do you prefer a subtler kind of sexy over the obviously vampy style?

it depends on the situation - sometimes vampy sexy is awesome and sometimes it's a bit inappropriate.. During day time I definitely prefer the "less is more" look...
Don't know which celeb is the best atm , I can't keep up with their changes most of the time :P

Even with her growing belly I think Miranda Kerr is the most beautiful celeb about town. Her smile sparkles and lights up the room! I much prefer a subtler kind of sexy over the obviously vampy style - I find it refreshing seeing women look a little more natural...though in saying that, it is most likely because I don't have the guts to pull off vampy sexy myself!

Dianna Agron is beautiful. Her eyes are the same colour as mine so I love seeing how she does her eye makeup. If only I had her hair colour and complexion!

When you look like Dianna it's easy to go for the subtle, pretty look since she's so naturally stunning. We're not all so lucky.

I don't think there are as many beautiful celebrities like there used to be. They all look the same, especially with the amount of Cosmetic Surgery each one of them gets. They are all starting to look plastic, such a shame really.
Hard to say who is the most beautiful celebrity at the moment, I really like Jessica Alba at the moment, she is just stunning. As for men, after watching Eat Pray Love, Javier Bardem is pretty hot!

I think Blake Lively and Leighton Meester of GG are gorgeous! They always look fresh, natural and sexy at the same time. I personally prefer a more natural look than vampy style.

I definitely prefer a subtle sexy look like Dianna's here to an attention seeking vamp style. She looks stunning with her makeup working for her to further enhance her natural beauty, so her features are the focus not her makeup. LOVE IT!!

I love this article on beauty is being redifned.... 'sexy' like Jordan and Xtina is a thing of the past.
You dont have to have war paint makeup with multiple pairs of false lashes and big bouffant do's (with extensions of course!) to be 'sexy'. This kind of look leaves the wearer bearley recognisable.
LESS is soooo MORE!
Dianna - I give you a D for DIVINE :D
Look at that complexion perfection - wow

I'm a bit of a 'less is more' subtle girl myself and I love, love, love the sound of that Benefit Speed Brow! It's on my list!
I don't know if they are the most beautiful celeb but definitely she is one of them - Jen Hawkins herself!

I definitely agree with less is more, you see so many looks that are just too much.
Love the sound of that speed brow, might have to give it a go!

Not sure which my fave celeb is right now, still liking Leighton Meister myself, or Giselle Bundchen. I like subtle day to day but a hot vampy look is great for odd special occasions.

She's beautiful but I like one that has darker or brunette hair. I think she would look even better with it too.

It really depends on the weather and mood.In summer daytime one is definitely better off with a low maintenance look..For me Leighton Miester & Kim Kardashian nail it everytime!

Subtle sexy is way more appealing than the vampy style (which I like to call tryhard sexy). I think Charlize Theron and Helena Christensen are hotties but after watching the X Factor, Natalie Imbruglia is the most beautiful about town now.

For me less is more. I never like to over do it and hate too much makeup, especially during summer. ;)

i love dianna agron she is so classicly beautiful, young and fresh.
This is my go to look when im in a hurry or don't want to look like i've made an effort. winged eye liner, mascara, peachy blush, mineral foundation, champagne shimmery eyeshadow and a light rosy gloss.

Chritina Hendrix. Shes a real woman that doesnt conform to the skinny look. A great role model.Ive always thought that Cindy Crawford is a natural beauty also. She also maintains a healthy weight too.
