Beauty redefined

There’s a new brand of ‘beautiful’ about lately, and I call it the return of the sweet and innocent. You know, the subtly sexy. It’s almost the polar opposite of the vampy, sultry kind of sexy, and can be achieved with something as simple as a pouty lip, a pretty doe eye or a structured ‘do.

Take Glee star, Dianna Agron, for example - the girl has it all. Donned as one of the best looking people in the world at present, she kicks serious butt in the beauty stakes – and the coolest part? It doesn’t even look like she’s trying.

Want to mimic this look at home? Sure thing. Just keep these few tips and tricks in mind…

-    Less is definitely more. When you pack on too much make-up, your pores can appear larger, so it’s best to use a light base that provides an even coverage. We like: BECCA Boudoir Skin Mineral Powder Foundation.
-    Frame your peepers. Don’t overdo it with a plethora of product. Why not try limiting your mascara to your top lashes, or for a fuller effect, applying false lashes to your upper lash line and leaving it at that.
-    Stick to a stain. When you’re at an event and can’t see yourself pulling out your lippy every 15 minutes to re-apply, sticking to a stain will give longevity to your lip colour and make you look as if you’ve been munching on raspberries. (We like: MAC Longwear Lipstain Marker)
-    Go structured. Isobel Lucas-style beach waves are cool at times, but a more structured ‘do really is your ticket to scrumptious-town (capital city of Beauty-ville)

Literally, the only thing I’d add to this Gleek is a little brow attention – I just know a bit of Benefit Speed Brow would do wonders for her face framers, as it tints, tames and sets brows in two seconds flat! Can you say, awesome?

Who do you think is the most beautiful celeb about town right now?

Do you prefer a subtler kind of sexy over the obviously vampy style?
