Lightest of the Mirenesse Vanilla shades
Mirenesse Crown Princess Skin Perfect Pores Foundation is packaged in a black plastic compact with a crown printed on the top. The compact includes a decent size sponge and a generous mirror. The consistency of the foundation is smooth, creamy and moisturising. In theory, the foundation should be ideal for my dry and mature skin.
I always buy the lightest shade Vanilla in the Mirenesse foundations but they are always slightly too dark. Vanilla in Crown Princess is the lightest foundation I've tried from Mirenesse and it's a great colour match. I wish that all of their Vanilla foundations were the same.
When I first tried Crown Princess almost a year ago, I had some flaky patches on my face after using a vitamin C serum. They were only visible when I wore Crown Princess. I put the foundation aside whilst I changed my skin care products and increased the frequency of exfoliation. I have just tried Crown Princess again, and it is more wearable.
When I applied Crown Princess on my bare face with the compact's sponge, it immediately pooled into the larger pores, creating a dotted effect that I really dislike (it is very unflattering in a makeup mirror!). When I lightly dusted 100% pure mineral powder over the foundation, this reduced the dotted effect, but it also created some cakiness. My results with Crown Princess improved when I used a primer underneath and I applied the foundation with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. The foundation did not set, so I lightly dusted mineral powder over it. Although this created some cakiness, it was less than before.
I am only giving this foundation three stars because it accentuated the larger pores and imperfections so much. I used up the foundation quickly, so it makes it expensive for daily use.
I suggest that you buy the foundation when Mirenesse has a sale. You can also sometimes buy it as part of a package of products on TVSN.
I don't wear face powder because I have dry skin. Because this foundation needs powder to set it, I assume that it is more suitable for people with normal or combination skin. I'm not sure if the foundation's creamy texture would work on oily skin.

What did I get? - No. 21 Royal Vienna and it's a touch too light for my skin tone (I corrected this with powder and bronzer).
My take on initial application? - Creamy, and smooth. I've tried two different ways of applying it: the first using a foundation brush and buffed it in (I found this to be the best way to achieve as close to a pore-less effect as possible), and second was using the sponge applicator that came in the compact (which doesn't give as smooth a finish). Both times I set with powder. It's fragrance free, blends really well and on application, gave me an incredibly dewy finish.
Lasting impression: I've been wearing it for work and, whilst it's lovely and moisturising, I do get really shiny. As I mentioned above, I found the best way was to use a foundation brush and this lasted longer, however both methods still result in shine. However, it's not streaky, the finish remained nice and even. Large-ish compact.
Buff it in with a foundation or stippling brush for the best finish. Set with a little bit of powder, and be aware of what bronzers / blush / contouring product you use that would best go with this type of foundation (i.e. cream / tints vs. powder).
Those who do like that dewy, glowy finish. If you like matte, this is not for you. Also ideal for those who like convenience; compacts are great for that.

Lovely once you've set it
This is a product that I just didn't like when I first used it. It didn't set and it just didn't work on my skin.
After playing around with it for quite a while, I then started using a mattifying primer and using a powder over the top of this and it looked amazing!!
It's a nice creamy formula and would be perfect for anyone that has dry skin.
The packaging is fantastic. It's one of their best foundations!

not as impressive
I must say this is one of their foundations I really didn't get along with. I bought one and received another as a gift. So I had plenty of time to get used to it. After a couple of days I gave up and gave the other one to my sister. It was a bit to creamy and cakey for my skin. I still use it if I'm desperate and need a touch up but thats about it.

This foundation is perfect to use when in a hurry, tcoo urlour is perfect for my skin tone, easy to apply and does not irritate my sensitive skin and covers imperfection.
Apply a light dusting of mineral powder over foundation and it lasts longer giving a Matt finish.
Any skin type and any occassion

I wasn't expecting to love this foundation since I generally prefer pump bottles rather than compacts (compact foundations often streak on my skin and/or look like a mask).
It may well be my favourite of Mirenesse's foundations (I've tried them all). It doesn't last as long as the others (maybe six hours), but I don't need my foundation to last all day.
I agree with the comments above - it is easy to build up and blends easily. And I love the glow it gives to my skin!

Beautiful Everyday Luminous Glow
I absolutely adore this foundation - it is easy to build up, blends easily, is reasonably longlasting and best of all, is really, truly a perfect match for my uber-pale skin. Mirenesse's best ever foundation, in my opinion. Also, it has an SPF of 20 (I'm fairly certain).
As you don't need powder - it might be a good idea to take the compact out with you. At any rate it has beautiful packaging and includes a good-sized mirror.
Anyone who really likes the "luminous foundation" look.
