Amazing product (could imporve on packaging)

I'm in love with this product! It makes my skin feel super smooth! This means that my makeup goes on smoother and has a better finish. I recently used this on my nose, forehead and tops of my cheeks on a really long day where I wore makeup for about 15 hours straight without touching up. When I went to remove it, my makeup still looked as flawless as it was in the morning and it was a pretty warm day.

The one downside to this product is the packaging. The jar is a little unhygienic since I have to dip my finger in and contaminate the product. Ironically I received a sample of this product in a mini 5mL tube. If the real size product was in tube, this product would be perfect

Great Dupe for the Clarins Insant Smooth Perfecting Touch

I find it quite similar in texture to the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch! Does definitely allows my make up applied smoother and I find pores look almost invisible. I have quite oily skin and seems to control it as much as any other product I have tried. I still have to blot through out the day. I'm loving this, think I have found my new primer!

Great smoothing primer, not the best oil controller

I have sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin.

I really love this primer. You only need a small amount so I don't know if I'll ever need to buy another jar - so great value! I smooth the primer on prior to makeup application and let it set for a minute before going on to foundation. I find my makeup goes on smoother after using it and my skin feels amazingly soft. I also like to pat it over dry patches to disguise flakies. It's just not overly mattifying if that's what you're after.

Great primer

I've tried a few different primers from high end to lower end of the market. I recently decided to try this one after reading numerous forum posts singing it's praises. I must say, this is a great primer. It leaves my skin velvety soft and it covers any large pores well. The product does come in quite a small jar but you only need a tiny amount to cover your whole face. You massage it in your fingers a little before applying. Overall I was really happy with the way this felt on my face and the way in which my makeup stayed on after using it. I will repurchase this.

My skin feels like velvet!

The L'oreal Base Magique Primer is an amazing little product that gives big results. It's described as a "transforming smoothing primer" and smooth is exactly what you will notice when you apply it to your face.

The formula is amazing and won't only help erase those fine lines and wrinkles that you may have, but it also contains soft powders which are going to help absorb oils, mattify and reduce shine.

The product applies to the skin easily and the velvety feel afterwards feels gorgeous.

The formula is quite thick but is easily spread evenly over the skin and there is little to no scent which I really loved.

After using this product, I felt that it did everything that it claimed to do. My skin felt so soft and my make-up lasted all day during the humidity and after running around during work.

This product isn't recommended for very oily skin - so if that's you I would tend to stay away from this product.

This primer is a little pricey at $29.95, but well worth the purchase if you're on the hunt for a good primer.

Ordinary

I bought this product and thought it would make a great primer. NOT. I found it to be way too thick and gluggy and I did not like it. The consistency was very smooth to touch, however not good as a primer.

WOW... just WOW

i kept hearing about the hype on this product and i actually saw it on sale for $20 so i grabbed it without hesitation.... and OMG am i glad I did!!! my first thought when i opened the boxed packaging was on how small the jar actually was, but cute lol... when i used the product is when i realised that it will last me quite a while, as you only need a pea amount! it smells nice, and feels great! it just glides onto ur skin and sets in a silky/velvety amazing feel! my foundation applied sooo much better and i felt i didnt need to apply as much as i usually do! and the look.... just flawless!!! i would use this again n again n recommend this to anyone!!! it a great buy!!

Lovely texture

Love this primer on my oily skin. It's great for girls with an oily T zone as its a bit thicker and controls oil better than some other primers out there. Worked well with my Foundation to look nice and smooth. I also have a few scars which are healing and it really helped to smooth the look of these out!

Very nice

I use this primer for my forehead and nose if I know it's going to be a hot day. I'll use my regular primer for the rest of my face and just apply this to my t-zone because I know that it's great for preventing shine.

Good primer..

i am always a bit scepticle about applying a primer to my oily skin type.
however, after reading reviews on this product, i thought id give it a try, with the only other primer ive used being an Inglot primer (not good!)
When i first put it on i noticed the beautiful texture. It feels so velvety and, as others have said, glides onto the skin smoothly & evenly.
I have pretty big pores unfortunately so im never going to have an airbrushed look - but i found this primer under my Revlon ColourStay Oily/Combination foundation reduced the look of my pores, compared to when i wear the same foundation without the primer.
I felt like my make up had a little better staying power.
Overall i would recommend it, and just like most products it would work really nicely on those lucky people with less oily skin than mine!!
