This primer is fantastic! It completely smoothes out your skin and minimises pores without being greasy, in fact it mattifies your skin whilst still being hydrating. Foundation goes on smoother and lasts longer. It's also fantastic as an eyeshadow primer, and keeps eyeshadow in place for hours.
The formula is quite thick and needs to be warmed between your fingers before being applied otherwise it wont spread as well. I received a sample which came in a convenient tube, but the product itself comes in a little tub, which seems a little unhygienic. But those little qualms aside, it is the best primer I've tried!

the first time i used this primer i was amazed! only need to use a little product and makes your skin feel soooo smooth. comes in the cutest little pot and smells divine. the product works wonderfully on my dry skin and i can expect it would work very similarly on normal, oily and combination skin due to the thin and creamy texture. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
warm up the product with your fingers for a smoother application
filling in pores and creating a smooth base for the perfect foundation application

I think I bought a dodgy bottle?
Searched for a great primer, decided to buy this but very disappointed! Must have been a dud because the tester in Priceline left me impressed & convinced me to purchase, yet the bottle/tub/jar I took home was awful. Only used once & had to wash it straight off because the product rolled into tiny balls and sat on my skin like dried up glue. Sad face ! THE BEST BY FAR
Having used this primer for the last year all I can say is I'm in love. It's a little pricey but considering how it compares to other high end brands it's definitely value for money. The texture it gives your skin can feel wierd at first but it provides an almost flawless base for your foundation and saves me so much time fixing imperfections. A little goes a long way I use roughly equal amounts of primer and foundation and get a fabulous finish.
ditch the brush, finger painting all the way.

The best so far
I've used A LOT of primers. I have insanely greasy skin. My makeup generally lasts about an hour before I have to powder. I manage to get away with a lot less powdering if I use this primer. The only issue is, using it every day it doesn't last very long and is around $30 for a little jar. Might be able to stretch it out 3-4 weeks but def no more than that.

This is one of my all time favorite primers. Its thick and silicone based so my skin doesnt breakout or get to oily from it. You inly need a small amount to do your whole face. This jar lasted me a good 2 months of everyday use.
My makeup stayed in place all day with this and really helped reduce my oiliness by the end of the day.
The only thingI did not like about this was that its in a jar and the cross contamination from my fingers going into the jar kinda grosses me out

Aftee using the perdis primer I decided to use something more mainstream. I saw this product in priceline and advertised with saying it has won some beauty award so i didnt hesistate to give it a go.
Its a small tub so i dont suggest to use this on a daily basis. The texture is like velvet, it glides on smooth and you dont need much.
My make up went on super smooth and my skin looked so much clearer. I dont use primers as often as im giving my skin a break from certain products.

Okay but didn't last long on my skin
I had a sample of this which lasted me a couple of weeks, it vent on easily and my skin felt smoother but didn't really look smoother. After this was applied my foundations ( I used both a higher end brand and cheaper "drugstore" brands with this primer) would go on nicely and would look great but would be almost worn off by about lunch time, so this primer is no real use to me.

Good Primer but too expensive
The texture of the primer is a thick mousse consistency that is neither runny nor sticky. The texture feels more on the thicker side but does not feel heavy on the skin when applied. The colour is a cross between an off-white and a light pink, however, you will find it to blend easily into the skin appearing white but once absorbed, it will become transparent. I feel it helps to mask and reduce the size of the pores allowing for the smooth foundation to sit on the skin better.
Overall, I don’t mind this primer at all, however, I do feel for its price point is very steep. You can buy drugstore primers for a fraction of the price and still get the same outcome, if not better. I also don’t like the packaging – in a jar. I feel primers should come in a tube, as I find it unhygienic to dip your finger each time. You will enjoy other primers for a fraction of the price that won’t break your purse.
Only apply to areas that you want to minimise the appearance of large pores/fine lines and control shine & oiliness.
Normal to Combination Skin. If you excessively experience Oily Skin, this is probably not suitable for you.

Ok, but felt weird on my skin!
I received a free sample of this primer and as much as I wanted to love it, I just didn't! I found the texture 'weird' on my skin (which is best described as combination - some parts oily, some parts dry). 'Weird' being that it sunk in on the oily parts and smoothed it out, but didn't work all that well for the dry parts and I feel it didn't work well under my makeup for this reason. Such a shame for me, but I would recommend giving it a go anyway..
If you have oily skin all-over, this product would probably work well for you :)

L'Oreal Base Magique Primer
Formula is very similar to Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. Creates a really smooth base and feels nice and silky. Mattifys for the first few hours but my t-zone manages to start shining again by lunch. It's still less oil than no primer at all, so I would still use it. Still looking for my HG primer but this will do in the meantime!
